"Mom, do you know where the Birman cat herd settled before our town was full of buildings?" I was pouring milk into a cereal bowl while hearing the babbling coming out of Ben's mouth.
I looked down and looked at her adorable face. My son's question made me pause for a moment while imagining those thick-haired cats wandering in the forest, filled with mud littering their white, smooth fur.
I shrugged my shoulders. "In the woods, maybe. Or we've already evicted them, but I think it's better because Stormy certainly doesn't want to bother knowing how much shampoo she uses to shampoo. Not to mention the added costs to the salon and other needs." I said, then squinted.
Ben's face was clearly pouting because I was insinuating his pet a few days ago that he bought with Sean. Her lips grumbled silently before she spoke, and I giggled at her adorable manner. "They don't complain because we've taken their place, and you've always even kicked Stormy out of your room, mom."
My mouth was wide open to hear what she said as if saying I was being cruel to her cat. "Hey, she messed up my room and ruined my nightgown!"
Ben stroked Stormy's dense feathers and said with a sinless expression. "I don't think it's a dress, mom. It's just a strange piece of cloth that you've made into the covering of your chest." Well, he's not wrong. I did wear that nightgown, but it wasn't enough to cover my distended stomach.
I handed Ben's cereal bowl. "Your information is too detailed, honey." Ben grabbed the bowl from my hand and went to the dining table while I stuffed the cabinet drawer box and galloped towards the refrigerator.
I stared at the contents of the refrigerator for a while while putting milk into it, then I heard Miss Diana's voice talking to me from near the stove. "What are you looking for?"
"Banana."
"Oh, we're out of bananas. Darren hasn't filled the fruit shelf yet when I've said it many times, the kid's busy blowing Mr. Bugatti. Your Fancy-Fancy Things." he grumbled as he stirred the soup.
I laughed, "And now you know what Bugatti is, hm, progress is quite meaningful." I quipped that he always stepped towards the counter kitchen table while grabbing a bowl of my cereal.
"Yes, I'm grateful that Darren's big mouth helped me a little about the cars parked in the basement. Know it? I almost fainted when he took me on a short tour and explained all the cars. Do you ever know how much it costs?"
I shrugged and stuffed a spoonful of cereal into my mouth. "You know I never cared about his car, Miss. It's not interesting to me at all."
Miss Diana looked at me while grinning. "Yes, because he himself is more attractive to you." Now he's shaking his head. "I've forgotten the last time I saw your neck clean" he said, pointing to my neck, which still contained traces of Sean's mouth, and then stirring the soup again.
I laughed softly, feeding another spoonful of cereal. "He's my husband, it's only natural that I'm crazy about him."
"I'm sure you're gossiping about me."
I flinched when I suddenly heard Sean's voice from behind me and I turned my head. He seemed ready to go to the office. I was stunned by his masculine appearance, the three-layer suit that wrapped around his body was absolutely perfect in accentuating his hard chest and arm muscles. "Sorry, I didn't wake you. I thought you needed a longer break." I muttered as I turned the chair to face him, then tidied up the tie.
He kissed my forehead at a glance, then leaned over to kiss my stomach. Both of his hands were gently rubbing there. "There was an important meeting with investors from Singapore this morning" Sean said, re-enforcing his body.
"Breakfast?"
Sean shakes. "Coffee just." He sat on the chair while I walked over to make coffee.
"Yes, don't get tired. Remember your content, baby." I nodded and smiled at him.
While I was waiting for me to make coffee, Sean opened his tablet and checked out some work there. I watched him from where I stood, watching a man like Sean sitting quietly was an entertainment unto me.
Sometimes I curse in my heart to myself who can't resist the desire every time I look at it. His body heat really stung me when we were close together. I feel crazy for never having experienced anything like this before, even with my ex-husband my feelings are not this strong.
Sean turned to face me, then stood up and walked up to me. She's so graceful. Both of her hands hugged me from behind the dab of her palm that gently rubbed my stomach. This was her favorite activity since I was pregnant.
"You're distracting me." I protested as his mischievous hands climbed onto my chest.
He chuckles. "You're too easily provoked, Franda." whispered in my ear.
I turned to face him. His gaze was very searing and I always wavered when stared at like that. I looked up and whispered in his ear. "I don't know what you're thinking right now, but you need to know that your presence near me is something I have to anticipate. You're too strong, hard, seductive and insane."
A low grunt trembled in his throat. "Hm, you're a very smart woman, Franda. You look into my eyes, right through me."
My trembling mouth said farewell before the urge to pull her back into the room got bigger. "Go back to your seat and I'll get you some coffee soon." With both hands I turned his body and pushed away from me.
Her charming smile briefly struck me before she actually stepped up.
I galloped to join him with a cup of coffee in my hand. "Here you go." I said, putting coffee in front of him.
Sean averted his gaze from the tablet, with his beautifully curved mouth he looked at me. "Thank you, my angel."
I returned his smile in earnest. "I did it because I love you, Warner. You're lucky because you're the only guy who gets that attention from me."
"really? You make me feel special, Franda."
"You're special to me, and I hope you feel the same way."
"God knows how I adore you, Franda," he replied hoarsely and resolutely, until the tip of my foot shriveled with pleasure. Two seconds later his voice turned calm and relaxed. "You know? I really wanted to exhale in your hair to dry it out, but I knew I couldn't possibly do it without thinking about touching you. The activity will certainly go very far, and I'm not up to the heart if you have to shampoo again while your own hair has not been often."
I laugh. Tempted at the warmth of his sense of humor, it made me love him even more. I continued to eat my cereal while Sean enjoyed his coffee while looking at the tablet.
My heart is calm and comfortable with our current situation. Really, this little moment is what I always wanted when I was with Sean. There is no frenzy, there is only peace. But deep down I also realized that there will always be times when problems come to us.
Like something I never thought would happen in my life after today. Something that has the potential to destroy everything, my marital relationship, and myself.
