The first thing to be prepared from the way to convert is to recognize the existence of Allah SWT. Begin to cultivate faith in Him. Believing that Allah is the only God and Creator of the universe.

Preparation of how to become a convert can be done by looking at all forms of His creation. Reason will conclude that the existence of such things is based on the creator, and does not necessarily exist by itself for no reason.

Allah says, “Say!' He is the One Almighty. God is the God who depends on Him for everything. He was not born and was not begotten. And no one is equal to Him.” (Al-Ikhlash: 1-4)

Preparation for how to convert or embrace Islam for the first time is to believe only in Allah SWT only we have to worship. Muslims should not worship anyone but Allah, even those who are close to Him, such as angels and apostles.
