Batang Tabik is the name of a Jorong in Kenagarian Sei Kamuyang, Luak District, Regency 50 Kota, West Sumatra. It is located ± 5 km from the city of Payakumbuh, on the side of the highway to Lintau.

It was given the name because it was in accordance with the condition of its territory. There is a spring that “Tabik” or rising from the ground, then dammed so that it becomes a pool. According to local stories, the water is sourced from Lake Singkarak. This tourist spot is managed by Density Indigenous Nagari (KAN).

This location has been known since the Dutch colonial era as the only bath in the District of Fifty Cities. In addition to bathing and recreation, the water is also used as one of the PDAM water sources of Payakumbuh City.

The water flowed continuously nonstop. Not affected by the season, whether it is dry or rainy. Still the amount of water does not decrease and flows very much. If it was not dammed, maybe now the area called Batang Tabik has turned into a lake.
