Evangeline cried at the blood that kept flowing from her husband's shoulders, so she did not care about his condition that was equally injured.
“Darling, I'm fine. Remember, I have survived death many times. It's just a small wound for me. You need to calm down, understand?” persuade Ardiaz, although grimacing with pain and continue to secure his position.
While Mac was duff, the Duke was back to doing something that made the chains on top of him resound.
Ardiaz turned his head towards the fellow beside him, and looked up.
“What's not done yet?” ask Ardiaz.
“How did you know I was cutting rope?” ask Mac duff.
“You forgot who I am? My brain is faster than the rate of bullets, which are shot from any rifle,” said Ardiaz.
Mac Duff simply leaned against the corner of his lips, and again made his chain move. Meanwhile, Ardiaz again saw the condition of the wife.
Evangeline looks down. It appeared like a sweat feather on the woman's temple. Ardiaz tried to call his wife so she could see her face.
“Eva, are you sleeping? Eva's... Eva, can you hear me?” call Ardiaz.
He got no response from the woman. That made him worry even more. His eyes were on the bottom of his wife.
Ardiaz saw the pants his wife was wearing wet by something. Ardiaz frowned, squinting in that direction. Suddenly, his pupils widened and he again called out the name of his wife.
“Eva... Eva, answer me. Eva, you heard me, didn't you? Eva,” call Ardiaz.
He realized something strange. The wet tracks on Evangeline's pants were dark in color. If it is water in a puddle or urine Evangeline though, certainly will not change the color of the women's pants, because the pants are worn made of denim and light blue.
However, the imprint actually makes the pants dark, which is certain that the liquid that hit it is something thick.
Seeing the condition of Evangeline who had been quietly bowed, plus sweat appeared on her temple, blinded Ardiaz thinking something bad about the woman.
As he panicked and continued to move his hand to escape, Mac Duff grabbed Ardiaz's hand and did something to tie him up.
Apparently, the Duke had already had a sharp weapon that he had deliberately concealed in the sleeve of his jacket, before Martin's troops tied hands with ropes.
The bajing*n often misses to check that section every time they search the enemy. That's what makes Mac Duff take advantage of the bad habits of the underworld.
Since then, he had always made a row with the clattering sound of chains, because he was trying to cut the rope.
It's not too hard to break away from the bond. What requires hard effort is to take the sharp object from its hiding place.
Mac Duff had even made a mound of dirt below to stand on, so that he could slightly lift his body, so that his fingers could reach his own wrist.
From there he could take a knife and cut the rope that tied his hand. While the chain that pulls it is only connected to the gap between the two arms that are tied, so that when the rope is cut, the chain is released.
“Quick!” exclaimed Ardiaz who was impatient to see the condition of Evangeline who was still silent since then.
Not long after, the rope was cut and Ardiaz immediately approached the wife, holding her left shoulder that had been shot.
Mac Duff rushes to help Evangeline untie her hands and feet.
“Eva... Eva, look at me. Honey, you..,” call Ardiaz.
The man tried to stare at the wife's face, but his words stopped when he saw Evangeline's already pale face.
“Sa... We...,” said the woman shrieked.
Ardiaz tried to see where the liquid was coming from. After successfully breaking the bond, Ardiaz helps Evangeline get up from her seat.
“Alpha, look behind it,” exclaim Mac duff.
Ardiaz immediately saw it and was shocked. He touched it and confirmed the liquid and panicked again, realizing that it was daeah. So much blood.
“Eva, are you hurt? Where are you hurt? Let me wrap your wounds first,” said Ardiaz who again sat his wife in the chair.
However, Evangeline shook her head slowly.
“I... I wasn't hurt. Ta's... But, belly... Emmm...” said Evangeline again groaned softly because of the pain that came.
Seeing the wife in pain, Ardiaz asked Mac Duff to look outside and make a way for them to escape from there.
Mac Duff immediately did so, while Ardiaz tried to see the wife's body, if there were any invisible wounds, especially on the abdomen.
However, he did not find any injuries, other than those made by Morgan when he hit the woman's face.
On the other hand, Mac Duff, who was behind the door, tried to open the zinc board a little hard, but apparently the door was not locked.
Perhaps they thought the captives would not be able to escape, because they were so tightly bound and dependent.
The Duke opened a little and looked outside. There were some people standing guard at the door, and others around the warehouse.
They looked different from the guards outside earlier. All the guards could not be seen holding firearms, but there was a wooden barrel full of batons.
It seemed, their rifles were only for the troops outside, while inside were only equipped with batons.
Perhaps because they thought that their number was enough to keep the captives in the room.
Mac Duff couldn't see where Morgan and Martin were. However it seemed, the two of them were still inside this building.
He went back to his partner who was still examining the wife's body.
“Alpha, looks like I can make way for you and Eva out. But, can he move fast? I'm afraid I can't hold them off for long,” said Mac duff.
“You just calm down. I'll quickly get Eva out of here. Then you're alone?” ask Ardiaz.
“You don't have to think about that. Remember, I'm a master of blurring on our team,” said Mac duff.
They both smiled and shook hands like boys.
“Follow me,” exclaim Mac duff.
They begin a plan to escape and rescue Evangeline from the wooden warehouse.
