CHAPTER 2: Adorable

Some time passed, and Evangeline still lingered in Ardiaz's ward.

After the two previously hugged each other with Evangeline sobbing there, now the girl is seen holding scissors and wound plaster.

“Completed. Are there any more injuries I haven't checked?” ask Evangeline after she finished treating her husband.

“Nothing. You've treated everything,” said Ardiaz.

“Good. Then my job of taking care of you is done. I think I've been here too long. People can be suspicious later,” Evangeline said.

“You can even limit yourself and want to understand my situation,” said Ardiaz.

“Of course. As long as you're in a coma, I'm always here and taking care of you. Mike always reminds me that I can't linger here because it's going to be very dangerous, and I can't come to see you again if they suspect,” Evangeline said.

Ardiaz again reached out and gently rubbed the top of his head.

“Then, it's best to go home now. I hope you can come back tomorrow,” Ardiaz exclaimed.

Evangeline had tidied up all the medical devices on the stroller, and turned back to face Ardiaz.

“Do you not want to say anything to me?” ask Evangeline.

Ardiaz understood what the wife meant. He owes an explanation for everything that has happened. It's just, he realized their time together wasn't much.

Evangeline has to leave because someone might come, or maybe Vermont's spies are getting suspicious.

Finally with a faint smile, he made a deal with his wife.

“How about one day one question?” Ardiaz.

“Why is that?” ask Evangeline not to understand.

Ardiaz further developed his smile and furiously pulled his wife's nose.

AARRRGHH!

Evangeline shrieked, but Ardiaz immediately placed her index finger on the girl's lips. Evangeline was silent.

In a fit of annoyance, he punched Ardiaz in the arm and made the man chuckle at the annoyed face of his wife.

“Why do you always just suck? Why not answer but instead pull my nose,” grumbled Evangeline while rubbing her flushed nose.

Seeing the frowning Evangeline, Ardiaz stopped his coldness and tried to grab his wife's nose.

“What hurts?” tanyakanya.

“Of course. Don't you see it red like this, huh?” grunts Evangeline.

“Hehe... Ii'm sorry. You are too adorable as always,” said Ardiaz.

Evangeline still looked annoyed as the man continued to tease her. However, he suddenly realized that Ardiaz had never laughed like this before him.

“So you said, one day one question isn't it?” ask Evangeline suddenly.

Ardiaz stopped chuckling with the watery-looking corners of his eyes due to Evangeline's cuteness.

“Ehm... Have you decided what to ask?” ask Ardiaz back.

Ardiaz was suddenly silent with a face that looked slightly surprised. He did not expect that the wife's first question was not about her departure to Orchid City.

“Answers. You know, you promised me to tell me everything,” Evangeline said later.

A long sigh preceded the man's reply.

“Ehm... Is correct. I always laugh every time I manage to prank you,” replied Ardiaz.

“But, to...,” timpal Evangeline.

“Sstt! Didn't we agree, one day one question. It's been a while you've been here. If you want to know more, come again tomorrow,” sidelines Ardiaz.

Evangeline was upset that her words were interrupted by her husband.

“Good... Alright... I'm going to leave now. Tomorrow, be prepared to answer the next question,” Evangeline said.

“I know,” sahut Ardiaz.

Evangeline got up and prepared to push her stroller.

“I go,” said Evangeline.

“Be careful when you go home,” exclaims Ardiaz.

The two were also heavily separated on the day. Evangeline opened the door, and walked towards the counter previously indicated by the fake nurse.

Arriving there, he is greeted by Mac Duff who has since kept a vigil in the area, making sure that no one else has come.

“I'm done. I'd better get going,” Evangeline said.

“Follow me,” exclaim Mac duff.

The man walked first and was followed by Evangeline in the back. They headed to a toilet with the inscription “in repair”

“Log in and change. I'll drop you off after,” exclaimed Mac duff.

Evangeline did not ask any more and immediately obeyed the Duke's words. Apparently, there was already a paper bag that Evangeline had brought before.

The toilet was deliberately written so that no one entered and saw Evangeline take off her disguise.

After he finished changing, he walked back to follow Mac Duff to the parking lot, where the man's car was located.

Finally, they could be smoothly discharged from the hospital without anyone knowing.
