CHAPTER 2: Chasing

Mac Duff first orders Joy to follow him to the airport, and find out where Evangeline is going. It would be better if the girl could persuade her friend not to leave.

However, Joy said that Evangeline's decision could only be changed by one person, her husband.

“Good. You go and wait for us. Make sure you know where the girl is going,” exclaimed Mac duff.

The sky night boss then asked Ardiaz and Jordan to exchange clothes.

The Devonshire native's younger brother will replace Ardiaz lying on the bed, while Ardiaz himself will go sneak out with him, wearing Jordan's clothes.

However, Ardiaz looked doubtful in this way. Because, he was also worried if Jordan got caught.

“You relax. It's late, and there won't be any more checks. Outside, I will leave one of my men to stand guard, and help Jordan so that he can get out of here in an emergency situation,”, Mac Duff said.

Then they started to execute the plan. Jordan had been lying in bed, while Ardiaz and Mac duff were walking out.

Ardiaz and Jordan's stature is almost the same, plus the genius hacker who always covers his head with a hooded jacket, making Ardiaz easily trick the bodyguards who are guarding in front of his room.

As they pass the nurse's post, Mac Duff secretly picks up a wheelchair outside the counter, and takes it inside the elevator.

“Relove on it. You have to keep your wounds from opening again,”, said Mac Duff.

Ardiaz quietly flinched looking at the wheelchair.

“I really look pathetic once,” grunts.

“No prestige and fear of not looking cool anymore. Come sit down quickly. I don't want to get in trouble for taking you out,” said Mac duff.

Finally, Ardiaz complied and sat there. Mac Duff pressed the basement button where the car was.

Arriving there, he immediately took Ardiaz into the car and brought along a wheelchair.

When the car has driven on the road, Joy suddenly calls back, and says that Evangeline will go abroad.

He enlisted Samuel's help to hack into the airport's computer systems, to find out where Evangeline was headed, and which airlines were being used.

“The plane will take off in forty minutes. Hurry up here,” pinta Joy.

After hearing from Evangeline's best friend, Mac Duff immediately stepped on the gas pedal and drove his car at high speed, splitting the streets of the capital with his friend who still looks pale, to prevent his wife from escaping.

They arrived at the airport for almost half an hour. There were still a dozen minutes left and Mac Duff immediately pushed Ardiaz's wheelchair to where Joy had told him before.

They also meet.

“She's there. The plane is almost gone. We have to be fast,” exclaimed Joy panic.

“Why didn't you go there first?” grouse Mac duff.

“I was going to do that if until the end you guys did not come too,” said Joy no less ketus.

“It... Therehewas. He's gone,” cry Joy.

Ardiaz could see his wife from a distance. He asks Mac Duff to speed up.

He grew even more panicked as Evangeline was already up and walking towards the departure gate.

“Where are you going, crybaby girl?” shouted Ardiaz.

Evangeline paused for a moment, and made them all stop running.

However, the girl walked back to the front without looking at her head in the least.

Ardiaz was about to get up from his wheelchair to chase after his wife, but was prevented by Mac Duff. That made the man angry.

“Hei, Eva! Stop or I'll drag you home!” screeches again.

This time, Evangeline turned around. From a distance, Ardiaz did not see the face of the wife soaked by tears, especially because the girl was wearing a mask on her face.

However, when he saw his wife fall to the floor, he immediately did not care anymore about the ban Mac duff, and immediately walked quickly to Evangeline.

He hugged the wife, and felt a shudder on the girl's shoulder. Evangeline's cry broke out, as if it was blowing away all the clumsiness that had filled her chest.

"Calm down, Eva. It's all okay. I'm already up. I will always be with you from now on,” said Ardiaz trying to calm the girl.

But instead of stopping, Evangeline was getting louder and louder. The girl still could not believe that the one in front of her was actually the husband, who had been in a coma for almost a month in the hospital.

Ardiaz unraveled his embrace and wiped away the clear melts on his wife's face. He tried to convince Evangeline that everything was fine, and now she had woken up from a long sleep.

Evangeline tried to convince herself and touched the man's face. He enthusiastically wrapped his arm around Ardiaz's neck, and pulled the man into his arms.

Evangeline didn't know that it made her husband's wounds hurt again. Mac Duff, who realized it, rushed to the two, and immediately took Ardiaz back to the hospital.

Evangeline asks to be accompanied by Joy.
