CHAPTER 2: Arrival of Devonshire

The day goes on. It's been a week since Ardiaz was operated on and he hasn't opened his eyes.

During that time, Evangeline kept coming back to see her husband. Every time he goes there, he never forgets to bring food for Mac duff.

He knew that the sky night boss was very stubborn and would not listen to the words of others. But somehow it was just him that he wanted to obey.

Maybe it has something to do with Ardiaz. Maybe because he respects Aaron's sister, so he would not want to obey Evangeline who is his wife.

Because Evangeline is no longer an apprentice in Merciful, the girl is more able to linger there to care for her husband, or just talk to herself without anyone telling her.

Every time Evangeline goes to the hospital, Alexa is always there first and with the same facial features.

The woman was always upset and grumbling every time she was with Mac Duff. The food and clothes she was carrying never wanted to be touched by the man.

Evangeline had to force him to eat and change his clothes.

Evangeline was not happy with Alexa, because after all the woman was so attentive to Mac duff, but Evangeline was always listened to

Today, however, the woman has not been seen since noon. When Evangeline arrived, there were only Mac Duff's men and she was alone.

The man immediately turned his head when he sensed the presence of someone nearby.

“What Alexa does not come today?” ask Evangeline when she gets there.

“What are you asking the woman for?” ask Mac duff back.

Evangeline sat down and opened the lunch box she was carrying. He placed the object on the chair and prepared the cutlery for the Mac duff.

“I just asked. At least if he comes, I don't have to worry about you. Isn't he very considerate of you, hem? Looks like he likes you. Besides, she's a beautiful woman. Why won't you respond?"

"Don't try to sell expensive. When he's tired and gone, then you'll feel lost. Trust me,” Evangeline said.

Mac duff glanced over and sat down beside Evangeline. He grabbed the chopsticks that the girl gave him.

“Are you talking about yourself huh?” sahut cynical.

The man simply ate without caring about the wry smile of the girl beside him.

“Yah's... Youre right. I'm talking about myself. You satisfied?” evangeline was upset.

He then stood up and walked inside, leaving the Mac duff who was eating voraciously.

The girl is unaware that Mac Duff's hand movements slow down when she disappears behind the door.

Evangeline as usual will wipe the body Ardiaz to keep it clean, and avoid fungi and other skin diseases.

The air inside wasn't very good, but Ardiaz still couldn't be moved from there, while nobody took care of him in that place.

The nurses who came, only the medical team examined the development of Ardiaz's health condition.

Actually, this is all Mac duff. He deliberately let Evangeline take care of Ardiaz, because he knew that the fake King hated his body to the touch of others he did not want.

Plus, she knew that the husband and wife were very distant from each other, because no matter how the marriage both occurred due to the coercion of the condition.

So like this, at least the two can intertwine emotions, although this is not fair to Evangeline.

In there, in addition to cleaning her husband's body, do not forget Evangeline also continues to babble about various things.

The girl was so painstakingly taking care of the husband who was still not awake. However, suddenly Mac duff comes in and surprises Evangeline.

“What are you doing? Why...,” asked Evangeline.

“Quick out now. Someone is coming here,” exclaimed Mac duff.

Evangeline frowned, not understanding what the man in front of her meant.

“But I'm not done yet. Look...,” Evangeline disclaimer.

Mac duff did not care and immediately pulled Evangeline's hand violently.

The girl brushed off Mac Duff's hand and rubbed her painful arm.

“At least let me take this off first,” said Evangeline showing PPE still attached to her body.

After he got out, he walked out first. However, his steps came to a halt and made the Mac duff who was walking behind him come to a halt.

The views of the two were straight forward, where there was a group of people walking towards them.

Lothawat! inner Mac duff.

the man then went forward and stood in front of the evangeline, making the girl unable to look ahead.

“Hey, what's up? Who are they?” ask Evangeline.

“you shut up, if you still want to see your husband,” said Mac duff.

Looking ahead, the three King Lucifer, as well as the Emperor came in followed by the guards.

They seem to be looking at Ardiaz's condition which is still no development.

Everyone seems curious about the figure that stands behind the back of the Mac duff, except Alexa who already knows who it is, and still thinks that Evangeline is the lover of one of their dukes.

“Hey, who's this little cat, huh? Has your taste changed now?” martin asked, who seemed so interested in Evangeline.

Mac duff kept the girl, to stay behind him with one hand.

“Dia..,” sahut Mac duff.

“She's her lover. Move aside. I want to go inside,” sidelines Alexa on Mac duff and also Evangeline.

He walked past the two captured men, and made them step aside.

Devonshire caught a glimpse of the two people in front of him, then followed Alexa into the sterile room.

“Why did you bring your lover here? Then, why are you two getting out of there?” cecar Joker as King of Mac Duff.

“I asked him to take care of Alpha, because as far as I know he doesn't like to be touched by just anyone,” replied Mac duff.

“Really? Then, does he want to be touched by your lover? So you let him serve another man like that? Haha... Really weird. Or maybe, you share women?” timpal Martin's.

“Please don't talk carelessly about him. I didn't leave him alone, so I went inside too,” replied Mac duff.

The Joker is seen watching Evangeline still hiding behind Mac Duff's back.

He said nothing more and passed through the two, to see Ardiaz from behind the glass wall.

While Martin, the man still seemed to be watching Evangeline. It made Mac duff stare at the King sharply.

“Because you're all here, I'm sorry to take him away for a while,” Mac duff told the Joker.

“Go,” Joker says without turning.

Mac Duff grabbed Evangeline's bag lying on the chair. He stepped away followed by the girl, and passed Martin just like that.

But suddenly, the man grinned and grabbed Evangeline's arm, so this girl was interested and hit the King's body interrogator.

Mac Duff immediately turned his head and stared intently at the arrogant man in front of him.

With a mocking smile, Martin stared back at Mac duff while continuing to hold the girl's arm.

“Detach him,” exclaim Mac duff.
