CHAPTER 2: Incognito
Some time later, two girls came out of the clothing store, carrying paper bags in their hands. They are Evangeline and Joy who have exchanged roles.
Evangeline was wearing the clothes Joy had chosen. A plain black croptop with short sleeves, combined with a denim skirt above the knees.
Joy wore a rose gold blouse with a light, creamy asymmetrical leather skirt on the front.
Using dark glasses, the two separated and crossed directions.
Evangeline asks Joy to go somewhere first, while she exits the mall in Joy's car.
As he walked towards the elevator, he saw a man wearing a suit, who was walking past him. In his pocket, he could see a logo.
Instantly, his smile expanded. He kept walking straight without even looking at it and got into the elevator.
Ardiaz's wife finally managed to drive Joy's car and drove from there, heading to a place where there was already Mike waiting for her.
Sky night club during the day, it really looks deserted like an empty old building.
The girl went into the basement, and there was already a Mac duff waiting. Evangeline immediately parked her car near the man.
“Why were you so long?” ask Mac duff.
The man leaned against the car door while folding both of his arms in front of his chest. Evangeline just got out of the car and took off her sunglasses.
Mac duff was seen frowning as he watched Evangeline's appearance which was very different from usual.
“Don't ask anything. We better get there. It's very late,” Evangeline said quickly.
“Didn't you make it too late,” complained Mac duff.
The man opened the door and got into the car, regardless of Evangeline or even opening the door for the girl.
Evangeline quickly entered before the man left her.
Mac Duff drives out of the sky night parking lot with Evangeline to the hospital.
Once they get there, Mac Duff takes Evangeline to a place. There was a nurse who looked cold.
He bowed as the man approached him.
“Have you prepared it?” ask Mac duff.
Mac Duff did not reply, but turned toward Evangeline.
“Come with him. After that you can only meet that person,” said Mac duff.
Evangeline looked at the flat-faced nurse in front of her and turned her head back towards Mac duff.
“You just calm down. He's the one I purposely put here. You have to be fast or your time will end just like that,” said Mac duff.
“Barakkah. So, where do I go?” ask Evangeline to the nurse.
“Let's follow me,” exclaim that self-styled nurse.
He walked ahead, followed by Evangeline. While Mac duff, the man walked in the other direction, heading to the treatment room Ardiaz was in.
As usual, the situation in front of the fake King's nursery was so crowded with many guards prepared by Vermont, on Devonshire's orders to make sure his fake sister was safe.
When Mac Duff passed by, he couldn't even escape the strict inspection. His body was searched and not allowed to carry dangerous objects. Even if he brings food, it will be tested for toxic substances first.
They are completely unforgiving. That's what made Mac Duff devise an infiltration plan for Evangeline, so that it is not easily known by the guards.
After passing the examination, Mac Duff went inside. There, Ardiaz was sitting patiently on the head board, and immediately turned his head when he heard the door being shifted.
“Did you manage to take him?” ask Ardiaz quickly.
“Please. He'll be here soon, ” said Mac duff while sitting his ass on a soft sofa, right in one corner of the ward.
“What Devon and Vermont will be long gone?” ask Ardiaz.
“From what I've heard, they're investigating who's behind the alien attack on us, and why their target is you,” Mac duff said.
