CHAPTER 2: Conjecture

FLASH BACK ON

After Ardiaz wakes up from a coma, Devonshire and Vermont arrive with the Joker and Alexa. Martin was unable to attend because of a blow to Mac Duff that left his face completely crushed and torn in some parts.

Vermont then discussed the incident at the dock that night. That's where Ardiaz says that their real target is himself.

Devonshire has not commented. Only Alexa and Mac Duff keep wondering about it.

Ardiaz could not answer, but Vermont suddenly said something that made everyone drown in their minds.

“Bos, looks like we need to figure out what's behind all this. Do you agree with me?” vermont.

“What do you mean?” ask Alexa.

“I mean, there could be people borrowing their hands to go after Alpha,” explained Joker.

“What can be like that?” ask Alexa.

“True says Joker. We don't know their true motives. But apparently, there's a traitor inside Lucifer,” past Ardiaz.

Everyone was speechless hearing the conjecture of the still weak fake King. It is true that they feel strange about the information that is actually still uncertain.

But that night, when Mac Duff reviewed the location, the information seemed to lead them to an ambush the next day.

Everyone even took turns looking at Mac Duff, making the Duke choose to remain silent.

He could not avoid it when he himself doubted what he had done, even though the sky night boss did not feel that he was the traitor.

Without proof, no one would believe. And the more he denies, the stronger people's guesses will be.

Feeling the tension in the room, Ardiaz again said.

“It looks like now you're going to be very busy, Vermont. Isn't it your responsibility to find out everything?” ardiaz said directly to the Emperor's right hand.

“You're right. Leave everything to me. Let me take care of all this,” said Devonshire.

“This is your job, right. Quickly move, before they remove the evidence,” timpal Ardiaz cold.

Afterwards, Devonshire decided to leave after making sure that Ardiaz was in good condition, and only needed to recover from all the injuries he suffered.

Alexa and Vermont follow the Emperor, so the Joker and Mac duff remain there.

The large-bodied King was still sitting on the sofa, while Mac duff remained standing by the door.

“Are you really going to suspect your own subordinates, huh? Did you forget that I should have checked the area, but for some reason he was the one who replaced it. Wasn't it clear from the start that they were targeting me?”

“Somewhere the war happened or not, I could have been hurt while checking the dock that night. But since what appeared was Delta, then they continued the plan to attack me the next day under the guise of an ambush.”

After that day, Devonshire occasionally visited Ardiaz. Then two days ago, the Emperor reportedly went out of the country to find out the puzzle of the attack.

Damian can't even trace the whereabouts of a group that has wreaked havoc and made Devonshire have to intervene alone.

Vermont as usual continues to follow wherever Devonshire is.

At that time, Ardiaz asked Jordan to try to penetrate the opponent's defense and hack their computer system without anyone's knowledge, except the three colleagues.
