Everyone was always envious of what this girl had obtained, and always wished to be as lucky as her.

However, no one ever knew what one's fate would be like.

On his nineteenth birthday, just as his father officially announced that Evangeline would be his successor, that was when the disaster began.

That night, not only good news was obtained, but also other very surprising news.

The father made the announcement about his engagement to the head of Hemachandra's family bodyguard, Ardiaz Danurendra, who was none other than the younger brother of Aaron Danurendra, the man whom Evangeline had always loved.

The girl refused and left the party. He walked here and there until he finally decided to go home.

But the surprise didn't get there. An unexpected event happened again. He saw with his own eyes the moment the father was shot, and had been sprawled with blood.

At the scene there was only Ardiaz. The girl ran in the middle of the night, in the rain, even barefoot and still in her previous party dress.

He tries to find refuge in the place of his foster mother, Morita. However, Ardiaz's men quickly find her and take her away from the foster home.

The girl was taken somewhere, and she was forced to sign a marriage license. Although initially unwilling because he thought Ardiaz had killed his father, but under the threat of the head of the bodyguard, he was finally forced to agree.

Evangeline returns home, with all the rebellion she's trying to pull off. She still could not accept that now she had married a bad person.

Evangeline escapes and finds Aaron. However, at that time he actually knew the truth behind the shooting of the father.

It wasn't Ardiaz but Aaron. Evangeline, heartbroken, returns to her father's house and gives in.

He regretted having misunderstood his husband.

After all the truth was revealed, Ardiaz took him to meet someone who was lying in a coma.

Hemachandra is not dead. He fell into a coma after he had a shot in his left chest, narrowly wounding his heart.

Luckily, Ardiaz and the butler of Hemachandra's house swiftly took him to get help.

Evangeline was crying all over, she was so grateful to see her father alive, but also sad because of his condition.

After Evangeline knew everything, Ardiaz handed back all control of the Hemachandra family business to her only daughter.

Evangeline objected, because her experience was still very lacking. However, the girl who always fought with Ardiaz did not want to look bad in front of the husband, so he accepted arrogantly.

He felt that there was no harm in taking all the responsibility, because Ardiaz would definitely still help him, given how much he obeyed and respected his father.

But apparently, the man had his own plan. He said he was going somewhere he couldn't tell anyone.

Evangeline suddenly felt empty when she learned of Ardiaz's departure plan. Plus, where and for what he went, Ardiaz did not want to tell him at all.

Time just passed by. One day, a doctor named Malcolm meets Evangeline. She reported that her husband had been killed in a warehouse explosion.

The news was so shocking for the girl. She always cried every time she remembered the memories with her husband, which did not even have good memories in it.

His heart grew increasingly claustrophobic, when he realized that he had so lost a figure that had kept him upset, since the presence of Ardiaz and his brother in his family home, ten years ago.

In order to forget his sadness, Evangeline busied herself with work. He has no one now. The father is still in a coma and her husband is gone, even now rumored to have died.

He no longer cared about the condition of his extremely weak body. Until several times he was found unconscious because of malnutrition and also severe dehydration.

Malcolm was the one who finally took care of her, and always accompanied Evangeline in those difficult times.

He was eager to see his friend's wife continue to torture herself, until unknowingly there was a feeling in his heart towards the girl.

When Evangeline was at the point where she could no longer be tough, the girl complained to the father who had not even opened her eyes.

Miraculously, the father, hearing his daughter's cries, opened his eyes for the first time since that night.

The recovery of the father, a little make him forget the loss of the husband.

Hemachandra was happy to see the princess had grown up despite the forced circumstances. He was proud because Evangeline was reliable in running the family business.

Finally, he finds out everything from the little clues Malcolm gave him when the doctor broke the news of Ardiaz's death.

Evangeline decides to leave her father to find out the truth.

She goes to the capital, and finds her high school best friend, Joy. Along with the short-haired girl, Evangeline investigates a strange explosion on the east side of the city that doesn't even make any news.

He teams up with the student club Criminal Hunter, led by a genius hacker named Damian, who has links to the massive mafia group, Lucifer.

From Damian, she learns the fact that her husband is still alive. However, Damian tries to profit from Evangeline who is desperate to find her husband.

Evangeline is furious and decides to find out for herself without Damian's help. Joy, who is always with him, accompanies Hemachandra's daughter to find her husband.

They begin to find clues to clues that lead them to a nightclub headed by a handsome and sexy man named Mac Duff or whom Joy knows by the name of Mike.

However, when she was close to the husband, Evangeline saw something that made her again hurt, until she decided to consider Ardiaz really dead.
