MALCOLM POV
I am the son of a single father. I lost my mother when I was very young. He was very sick and at that time my father was not who he is today.
Now, he has become a big businessman in the capital, the ruler of the tourism sector and retailer. Somehow it happened, which I remember my father used to go and go home without me noticing.
But somehow, I prefer my old father, who was so honest and hardworking. Most importantly, dad was always with me even though we were in shortcomings. I admire and respect him more than anyone else in the world.
He was a role model for me, his only son.
He never once forced his will on me, and allowed me to take my own path to become a doctor.
I know my father wanted his son to inherit his business later. But, I aspire to help anyone in need, so that no one else has the same fate as mom.
Ever since I graduated from medical school, my father has even been preparing to wake up a big hospital for me to lead. But again, I rejected my father's kindness and chose to go to the small town across the street.
I came to Wisteria City five years ago, alone and no one knew me at all.
I applied to become an intern at one of the major hospitals in the city to become a general practitioner.
On the moon to my limo working there, I was accidentally on my way home from another province, passing through the road between Magnolia and Wisteria.
In the middle of the road, I met a young man who was walking limped with a body full of wounds.
I pulled the car over and tried to help her. From the look of the young man's eyes, it was clear that he was no ordinary person.
His gaze was cold and so hard. There was not even a visible expression of pain, even though the body was full of wounds. Even walking staggered.
When I offered to help, he didn't care at all and kept going. He even brushed my hand away as I was about to wipe it.
However, suddenly from the back came a commotion and made the young man look panicked.
He then looked at me and said, “Cast in the car and take me away from here.”
I don't understand what that means. But I quickly got into the car and started the engine. Without me noticing, the young man had already entered and sat in the back seat.
Without asking any more questions, I immediately drove the car away from there. Along the way, I noticed the young man from the rearview mirror.
He looked back several times, as if he was making sure that no one was chasing him.
“Let me down in front,”.
“But you're hurt. You must be treated immediately or your wound will be infected,” I said.
Unexpectedly, he held a firearm right behind my head.
I shuddered in horror at that. However, as much as possible I try to stay calm.
“If you want to kill me, please. But, leaving someone injured, is not the duty of a doctor,” I replied.
“Are you a doctor?” ask the young man.
“True. I'm a doctor at Wisteria hospital. You can confirm that if you want,” I replied.
“Then, did you bring any emergency medical equipment? Don't you guys take him everywhere?” ask the young man.
“There's in my bag,” I replied.
He then led me to go somewhere. Exactly into the forest that is near the hills near the beautiful Gingko countryside.
I don't understand why he brought me here, but it looks like it's his hiding place.
But it turned out that I was wrong, dian just asked me to stop in a quiet area in the middle of the forest, to further treat his injuries.
I moved to the back seat. Armed with makeshift tools and minimal lighting, I began to check the condition of the young man.
Many wounds on his body. There are also incisions of various sizes. But the worst was the one on his right shoulder.
A wide gaping wound there, made a lot of blood come out.
After taking almost two hours, I finally managed to treat all of his injuries. I purposely injected anesthetic drugs so that he would rest and not move much for wound healing.
I wonder who that young man is. When viewed from his stature, it seemed like he was much younger than me. But when I saw his body, there were many scars both old and new.
But why would a young man like him be able to have so many injuries like this? I kept wondering until I got tired of mastering and put me to sleep.
Early in the morning, I woke up to a noise from the back of the car. As my eyes opened, I saw the young man trying to take off the infusion hose I had deliberately installed.
“Let him run out first, then I'll help you take him off,” I said.
The young man did not seem to like my words that sounded set it up.
“I have no more business with you. Now you better go” he exclaimed with a cold face.
“Obviously you still have business with me. Remember, I'm your doctor now and you're my patient. I do not allow my patients to do rash things that can harm themselves,” I said firmly.
“Did you forget that I have a gun, huh?” he said while touching his pocket, but there was nothing there.
He then turned to look at me who was shaking a gun in the hand.
“Search for this?” ask me with a mocking smile.
The young man looked about to snatch, but the wound felt again hurt until he fell again in the passenger seat.
“Cure your wounds first, I will give you this thing. Understand?” myrt.
