TROOPS AND BANKING(4)

Hadalon, County of Alexandreia

In the mansion where the count lived was being filled with a lot of busyness. On this sunny morning, the entire corporate affiliation of the Alexandreia House had gathered.

President Director of Alexandreia Investment, Clark Edgar Glouchria;

President Director of Alexandreia Bank, Vincent Valleyard; and,

President Director of the Alexandreia Exchange, Emanuel Karl Charwings

The three men met the lord of this region, Count Alexander Ivanov Alexandrius, to attend a meeting in this place.

In this room is also filled by county officials such as Justin, the butler of the Fertiphile House and several agency leaders.

"I'm happy that you're all present" Alex said.

The meeting between Alex and the three directors of his company has only one goal, coordinating the performance of the three companies.

"I heard Alexandreia Bank has successfully opened a cooperation with the Adventurers Guild. I'd like to hear what the last condition you're in is" Alex said.

"My master, the Grand Master of the Alexandreia Adventurer Guild is very friendly with the cooperation that is going on between us and them. Currently we are based on field reports, there are a small number of adventurers who have opened their accounts. We are also working to make this progress faster. Our target, five years down the line, is that all adventurers from all over the country in this kingdom have their own accounts" said Vincent Valleyard.

Vincent Valleyard is a 55 year old man. He came from among the commoners but successfully built a career as a trader. He is also one of the people Alex knew when Alex became Interim Governor Fertiphile.

"It was a pretty enthusiastic plan. I hope you can achieve it" Alex said.

"Thank you, my lord."

Then Alex asked the President Director of the Alexandreia Exchange, Emanuel Karl Charwings, a 52-year-old from a noble background. Although he was noble, Emanuel had sharp business abilities. Previously, he took care of the noble house business but was eventually kicked out due to political intrigue in his own dynasty.

"I want to know how the market responds to the opening of the exchange."

"Sir, I would like to report the obstacles experienced. We are currently having a hard time finding viable companies to make initial public offerings. Most companies that try to register are companies that have a financial recording system that is below the standards you set. In addition, from an investor's point of view, we face low public confidence and enthusiasm."

Emanuel explained awkwardly. Especially when the director of Alexandreia Bank who previously explained his work report with great enthusiasm. This made Emanuel lose his confidence.

"Well, that's not too surprising. However, the presence of stock exchange institutions is still new here. So it is natural that the community does not have expectations for him. But I am sure sooner or later they will realize the potential of securities transactions. In addition, for standard floats on the exchange, I want you to keep that standard. I don't want to hear there are companies that make capital markets too speculative" Alex said.

"Okay, my lord."

Previously on the standard to conduct an IPO[1], Alex has compiled various standards and governance needed by stock exchange institutions. This means that the company only needs to follow the procedures that have been made by Alex. They have no experience in similar businesses. That makes their performance reliance on Alex too high. Operating Stock Exchanges and banking institutions is quite different when compared to venture firms.

Then Alex asked the last person to be here, Alexandreia Investment President Director Clark Edgar Glouchria about their performance.

"Sir, the Tuanku company has made capital participation against the companies that you want. The Tuanku company has acquired Rudy's Wheat, an agricultural company located in Fertiphile. The Tuanku company has also successfully acquired Rich-Whales, an offshore company focused on marine transportation services. Now, My Lord has 78% and 93% ownership of both companies, My Lord."

Alex nodded at Clark's explanation. As expected with his best company. Alexandreia Investment is indeed a golden egg that Alex must take care of.

"That's exciting news. I hope your performance can remain satisfactory and I also want everything here to be able to work as Alexandreia Investment does. If you have any problems, you can call me" Alex explained.

"Okay, Milord!"

Everyone stood up and replied with excitement. Alex who sat quietly in his chair felt very satisfied. Now she could finally imagine her beautiful and joyful life in this world. While Alex is content with his life, at the same time with a different location, there is Rain and his subordinates who are fighting desperately in their lifeline and death.

Right now they were facing large numbers of orcs.

Right now their fight with the orcs was getting more and more intense. Especially when the orc leader had shown himself.

The creature was an orc warrior capable of using an aura.

He had a gigantic two-handed sword that had high destructive power.

It seemed like apart from Rain there was indeed no one who was able to deal with this creature. So Rain and the orc warrior were clashing swords between the battle commotion between the orcs and the humans.

The orc flowed its sword with a violent aura.

*spark

The clash between the two swords caused sparks to fly.

Rain was pushed back by the orc's brute force. That Orc did indeed possess physical strength far surpassing Rain.

But the orc had one flaw. He has low mobility.

As a result, Rain attempted to attack the unprotected blind spot on the orc's body especially on the creature's legs which were completely unprotected by protective armor.

"Aragh!"

The orc screamed in pain as Rain slashed one of its legs.

Unlike the troll that is able to regenerate his body quickly, the body of the orc does not have such an ability so that when he is injured, he will be injured like other creatures such as goblins or humans.

Rain's attack didn't just stop.

He took a distance of several meters later from his sword, a ray of blue-colored aura appeared extremely bright.

Rain unsheathed his sword as if slashing through empty air, then a huge stream of aura emerged from his sword blows flying straight towards that orc warrior.

Dust and ground scattered around the explosion of the aura. It turned out that the orc had managed to dispel the attack of the aura wave using his sword.

Rain did not just stop. This time behind the dense dust veil, he appeared in front of the orc. Gave a sharp prick from his sword eye.

Although the orc tried to hold back, but Rain's sword managed to stick it on his wrist.

"[Acid Sephentes]!"

"Roaarr!"

Suddenly the orc hand planted with Rain's sword seemed to have a burn and slowly began to blister. The orc shouted in pain and tried to release the sword.

Surely Rain again released his sword thrust to prepare for the next attack.

The orc immediately moved away. This time his breathing became heavy as he endured the pain of one of his hands that suddenly suffered a burn.

[Sephentes Acid] is a skill belonging to a magic beast named Erau. Originally, the skill produced a liquid acid capable of melting any object. But when used by Rain, the skill flowed its effects through Rain's sword. So that's what makes the orc's arm blister like that. At first [Sephentes Acid] was at its highest strength equivalent to fifth level magic but it seemed like Rain still could not master the skill completely as a result he could only take out 1/3 of the skill's original strength.

"[Sephentes Order's]!"

But it doesn't just stop there. Rain used a hypnotic skill called [Sephentes Order's], a skill equivalent to third-rate magic. When those orc eyes saw Rain's eyes, his body seemed to be unable to move.

Both skills were skills learned by Rain thanks to an item given by Alex named Orc of Farka's Wisdom. He studied it for at least two years.

Rain prepared to end this long duel. He collected mana in his blade and sucked in using magic to execute orcs that were still unable to move his body.

"[Lightning Blade]!"

A large amount of lightning appeared on Rain's sword blade. When Rain gave his attack, not only was the wound from the slash, the lightning strike also struck the orc.

The orc warrior was finally defeated and his lifeless body lay stiff on the ground.

[Lightning Blade] is a modification magic of the third level magic [Lightning]. This was the magic that the adventurers of Orion had taught him.

While Rain had managed to defeat the orc warriors without any meaningful injuries on his body, his subordinates had finished their fight as well but it seemed like they had a slightly worse state. Some even have quite serious injuries on their bodies.  But at least their mission to eradicate the orcs had been completed.
