ARCHDEUS
INTERIM LORD(6)

On this day Lilac and her friends will be able to live a hedonistic life because on this day the rewards they get will soon be liquid.

After they completed the dungeon raid, they returned to the guild to confirm the completion of the quest.

Of course, despite having completed the quest, they had not been able to claim the 100% reward they could. The reward they get from clients is 450,000 G where it takes at least five days to two weeks to liquidate such a large fund.

So at that time, the reward they could claim only came from the guild which was 50,000 G. They are still waiting for rewards from clients covering funds of 450,000 G which if calculated search time is today.

However, there are other rewards that are still long enough to be claimed, namely 60% of the profit from the sale of non-mining commodities, and 10% of the first sale of non-mining commodities. This will take a very long time considering the profit-loss report will close the book in the annual period. So if they wanted to make sure that all the rewards they could have sent, they would at least have to wait a year.

They could have chosen to leave the county and claim a reward from the guild office from another location but it was likely with such a large fund that there was a misdataing. So in short they will stay in this county for at least a year to make sure that the big fish they get are not taken by others.

Surely they will not be idle just like that, they can still run the missions available. But for counties that have tight security like Fertiphile, obviously the missions they receive tend to be very weightless. This showed how safe the county was even to the point of making a quest in this place only contained trash.

Lilac and her group led by Barnard were filling out forms for receipt of rewards from clients.

After they filled out all the required data, the female receptionist quickly checked the funds.

"I'm sorry, the funds have not been sent by the Nightorb Corp" the receptionist said with a slight fear.

It often happens that clients are late in sending funds that make hunters who have completed quests go berserk. They will usually damage the existing facilities even do not hesitate to beat the teller.

"Huh? has he? It's been two weeks. There's no way they didn't send it. Check again" said Barnard.

The receptionist checks back and the answer given remains the same.

"What's going on? Did our client run away?" ask Lilac.

Sometimes there are also cases where the client will escape because they are unwilling or unable to pay. This would obviously trouble the guild as they would deal with the fury of the adventurers.

That's why in the latest rules, clients who want to offer quests must provide guarantees with the same value as the reward value listed in the quest.

"That's impossible, anyways this is a company. Not individuals" Barnard said.

Both the receptionist and Orion's group had no idea what was happening. So in order to get clarification, the guild party ended up calling the client side.

Guilds did not want any unrest to occur in their guild. Not to mention these were platinum level adventurers there were even orichalcum-plated ones.

While waiting for the client to come to ask for an explanation, Lilac decided to take a short walk.

He accidentally saw a couple of lovers holding hands. This made him think of a man named Alex.

When he first met her in the capital, he already knew Alex was a noble. But he was surprised to find out Alex's noble rank was a great noble. He initially thought Alex was a citizen of the capital so his peerage only revolved around the baronet and sir levels.

Who would have thought, when he reached this county, he met that person again.

In addition, he had heard a lot of news about Alex.

His full name is Alexander Invanov Fertiphile, the eldest son of the Count of Fertihphile. Known as a lazy person and can not use the sword so dubbed as the trash nobility.  He also adopted two children from commoners. He was 16 years old and now his status is Interim Governor.

All the news really surprised him.

Originally Lilac wanted to target Alex as one of her men. But the longer he didn't see her, the fading his desire became. But when they meet again and Lilac has found out who Alex really is, she can't help but want the man again.

Lilac did not care much about the distance of social status between her and Alex. Although Alex is a noble and he is an adventurer, he doesn't care. If he had made the decision, he would have done it.

When Lilac returned to the guild and was about to go to the place of her friends, a man who said that he was a representative of the Nightorb Corp.

In the end the man and the Orion party went to the room that had been prepared with the guild master as a mediator to avoid the unwanted.

Everything went smoothly until the man said they couldn't pay as agreed.

Arlenne, a member of Orion's party who was a woman who liked to solve problems with a standing punch and directly pulled the person's collar then slammed it to the ground.

"I don't care about the problems you're facing! We just want to reward us!" shouting Arlenne.

Cilvy and Urien tried to calm him down.

While Barnard had a great argument with the guild master.

As for that person, he was unconscious.

The situation became chaotic until a guild staff knocked on the door.

Lilac who did not enter in the stream of quarrels opened the door.

The staff called their names and handed them six envelopes with the seal of the County Security Authority of Fertiphile.

Everyone fell silent and quietly opened the envelope and read the contents of the letter.

The first sentence they read was clearly displayed with the words: PRO JUSTITIA

***

The summoning of the higher-ups of Nightorb Corp. was finally exposed by the media.

They handed out leaflets that read

Warren and Burren were silent all day at the CEO's office with a summons in their hands.

"Maurraine ...."

Warren has been relying on his genius brother. Even during the current critical period, he still clung to that belief.

But Burren is in a condition that is not much different from him.

No, actually Burren's mind is much more turbulent.

He didn't understand how it all could be like this.

What he feared was not the charge against public lies or about the safety of the citizens but what scared him was the first chapter clearly written on the basis of the summons

Article 5 paragraph 8 Lese-Majeste

This can be said as a rubber article where the lightest punishment is cutting organs and the heaviest of course execution.

In history, no commoner has escaped this law.

This is what scared him.

Even he could not think of any other way.

He wanted to give up but his ego as a genius did not allow it.

In fact he had applied to meet with the Interm Governor but less than his letter was immediately rejected.

Barren had prepared some other strategies by lobbying some nobles even viscount class. He had also asked the guild master for help. It takes a lot of money. So that his company needs time to be able to pay some expenses including reward payments to adventurers. As a result the adventurers were upset and had beaten their representatives to a faint as expected of the rude people.

He realized, it turned out that this trashy noble was much harder to handle than expected.
