TROOPS AND BANKING (1)

A battle between the two teams finally ensued. Most of them choose to use dual weapons where the spear is the primary weapon while the sword, axe, and arrow are secondary weapons.

As part of the security of the participants, they also wore armour made of leather. This was only non-magic combat equipment so it did not have any effect even the actual equipment they used was far below the standard of soldiers in general. Well, since this is just a test so it is indeed not necessary to use normal weapons that can be life threatening. Although Alexandreia said that group victory was not the main consideration in the assessment, Yeux believes there are indicators other than individual ability in this selection. Moreover, this is a test that uses groups as a selection tool. He thought it might be possible that leadership ability and skill in acting in times of crisis and helping participants from the same group is one of the considerations. Otherwise, why would Alexandreia bother to make a group exam like this if indeed the collective indicators were not taken into account at all.

Perhaps Yeux was one of the lucky ones who realized that.

Not far from them, where the Alexandreia military higher-ups were, they remained standing while observing all the participants very seriously.

Fortunately the flail provided was a non-combatant flail that used a wooden ball as its head and a rope used to replace the chain. Otherwise, there might have been many corpses scattered around Yeux.

But right now Yeux was facing a problem. His opponent this time looked accustomed to using a spear. That person had long blonde hair that was unraveling smoothly as well as had a slender stature. It was like an aristocratic man who spent much of his time reading books rather than practicing. Yet this fellow was far more expert than his appearance.

He repeatedly cornered Yeux to fall off his horse.

Damn, from the beginning I was not talented as a cavalryman, he thought.

The spear thrusts again appeared towards him. Quickly, Yeux dodged and soon he caught the spear so tightly that his enemy could not pull the spear.

"Damn! You don't seem bad."

The person who was Yeux's opponent gave a cynical smile. The man seemed to indeed have a good spear technique but he was not very strong. It was evident from his inability to unleash his spear from Yeux's lockdown.

But who would have thought, that person stood on the back of his horse then quickly jumped towards Yeux.

Yeux, who had no time to dodge, got an air kick from the man who hit his chest. As a result, Yeux was unable to keep his body balanced and crashed from his horse. His opponent was now riding Yeux's horse.

Although Yeux wore skin armor but the kick was still painful enough to make him short of breath. With a body that had fallen on the ground, he clasped his chest while looking at the man who had kicked him down.

The man just smiled indifferently and then started to fight against others. Just leave it.

The test ended in a victory for the white group. To his surprise, the black group that was Yeux's group suffered a crushing defeat. Of course, the cause of it is all one of which is due to someone.

The man who was Yeux's opponent before. Not only did the man defeat him, he also managed to defeat Egon.

When Justin read out the names of those who graduated, the man was the first to be mentioned.

His name is Pierce Wolvince. Then the other names began to be mentioned one by one.
