ARCHDEUS
WHO ARE YOU?(3)

The sun has re-emerged signifying that a new day has come. In a warehousing complex that is still part of the city of Hadalon, the conditions of the warehouse building are still maintained. Because the outbreak is still not too long so that no building looks shabby even though abandoned. These warehouses all contain foodstuffs, especially wheat, corn, and grains. This place was originally functioned to maintain food stocks in the Canadia region in general.

Nevertheless what is interesting is that in one of the warehouses it looks a little different from the other. Currently a group of elite Royal Majestic Guard units that Falcon team turned out to make one of the grain warehouses as their hiding place.

Not only they even have traders from trading companies managed by traders named Gale.

The reason they chose this place was quite simple, because of the food. Limitations of food stocks at the inn make them have to look for wheat granaries as a backup food provider for them. Moreover, they did not know until when this outbreak existed.

There were no further instructions from the royal government.

That makes them desperate. As part of an elite military unit, all members of the Falcon team never felt left behind by a country like this. Usually they will get above average facilities that regular soldiers should enjoy.

Although it seems quite apocalyptic but in fact, living in a grain warehouse is not as bad as expected.

Who would have thought those people managed to build a comfortable enough residence with a haystack covered in silk cloth as a bed, good air ventilation to straw fibers as a broom. It can be said to be a fairly safe emergency residence. Not only that, this warehouse is very spacious even let there are tons of grain supply in it, in fact it can accommodate more than fifty people in it. Perhaps this is the positive impact of food scarcity and inflation so there are no fully stocked warehouses.

But what is lacking is clean water supply. The warehouse has a water reservoir or washroom so that to collect water or urinate, they must look for it first.

At least the culture of bathing is still not there in this civilization so they only use water to drink and wash clothes.

To collect water in reality is not as difficult as imagined.

They do not have to sneak or hide. They just had to be careful with the ghost-shaped creature dressed in the dark robe.

Collecting and searching for water was the task of Joseph and Darius. Darius as a ranger had such a high sensitivity that he could easily find water. While Joseph was the one who had the strongest physique in the Falcon team so he could carry the water-drums without any difficulty.

When time showed noon, Darius and Joseph had returned. Darius carried a wooden barrel filled with water while Joseph carried three barrels, one in each of his hands and one on his back.

They began to put together wooden drums containing the water in a water storage area.

"Okay, so I don't think we're gonna be short of clean water for the next six months."

Darius swept away the sweat on his forehead while looking at the pile of water drums they had collected for over two weeks.

"The good work of Darius and Joseph" said Camellia cheerfully.

"Weh, if you want to thank me at least give us a decent meal" Darius replied.

The last few days they have only eaten a porridge of unsalted wheat. So it was not wrong for Darius to want a food that had little taste. Even Joseph who very rarely complained was secretly dreaming of spicy food that he had not felt for a long time.

"Yes, calm down. Right now Mr. Gale is making good food for all of us."

"really? But I don't smell anything" he said, sniffing.

"Huh ...."

Camellia sighed.

"Did you forget what Iona said? The monster seemed to have a keen sense of smell. Otherwise, there's no way she can find us an inn" Camellia explained.

"You're right but what does that have to do with food?"

Darius was still confused about it. The truth is pretty clear. Because food must be cooked before serving and eaten, it will cause a scent. It was feared that it would invite the arrival of the dark-robed creature. So to anticipate it, Iona used [Coryza], a level 4 spell that was an evolution of a level 2 spell [Anosmia]. The spell caused a decrease in the ability of the sense of smell. Iona uses that spell whenever someone cooks. But what is unique is that Iona uses this mantra by creating an area of effect (AoE) around the warehouse environment they live in. Although it seems more wasteful but this is a brilliant step. Because at least they do not need to worry about the aroma of their cooking can be smelled now.

As expected, in the kitchen section, Gale and a few merchants who had cooking abilities were currently making chicken soup. Looks like they didn't find any meat from the stock stalls that were closed.

While not far away from them, Iona was currently concentrating on controlling her [Coryza] magic.

Fortunately he wore his magic equipment, otherwise this magic would have completely absorbed all his mana.

Even when everyone gathered in the living room to eat together, Iona still lafaz her magic.

"Hey, Iona. Meal time. Why are you still using your magic?" shouted Darius.

"Ah, you're right."

Darius could only laugh awkwardly while stroking his hair.

"That means we have to give Iona the biggest piece of meat."

Instead of being answered by Camellia, Richard replied to Darius.

All nodded at the advice of their chief. It's been a long time since they've eaten such good food.

Geck! Geck! Geck!

"!!"

The sound of knocking on the barn gate shocked everyone.

"Damn, who is that?!"

Rionard who was an assassin immediately whispered to the others.

No one answered but everyone's view led to the only ranger in the group.

"I didn't. I can't feel their presence" Darius replied.

Darius has the highest sensibility but due to Iona's magic, he cannot rely on his olfactory abilities. Plus the door was still closed and he did not have the ability to see through the door.

After hearing Darius' reply, the Falcon team carefully began to pick up their respective equipment. They also called Iona to be on guard.

Rionard with his high mobility had been above the gate. If the enemy enters, he can kill them from above.

Richard slowly began to open the gate. Then he quickly pulled the door.

Joseph who was in the front row had been willing to protect everyone with his skills. Darius had also pointed his arrow forward.

But when the gate opened, what they saw was precisely ....

There aren't.

There was not a single person standing in front of the barn gate.

"Why not people?" ask Joseph.

"...."

"Stop!"

Darius heard the sound of footsteps not far from them. Only Darius could hear it and he knew there was someone else who had just entered the warehouse.

"There! Show me your form!"

Darius pointed at the empty air. For those who don't know him, they might think him crazy but as a ranger in this team, Darius's words are very believable.

Suddenly from the place designated by Darius was distorted.

Two human beings show themselves.

In front of the Falcon team members, they saw two people with strange appearances appear suddenly at a short distance in front of them. The two men were wearing hazmat clothes that covered their heads and bodies. Among the two mysterious people, one of them had a body that was much larger than the other.

"We'll finally find you."
