ARCHDEUS

ARCHDEUS
DUNGEONS(3)

Alex and Rain are currently hiding quietly behind the bushes.

Alex frowned.

"Sir, what's wrong ?" ask Rain.

Alex did not respond. He just stared straight at a cave not far from where they were.

Do I have to do it? thought Alex.

Seeing Rain so innocently clueless that not even knowing about the cave made Alex's heart ache.

Shit, he really doesn't know!

If this was someone else, Alex would definitely not care about it but for someone who had been under his wing, he should not let the innocence of this subordinate be precisely the cause of their death.

Alex cast a spell on himself.

"[Anosmia]."

A level 2 spell capable of reducing the sense of smell. This is actually a debuff spell. This spell is widely used to deal with rangers who rely on smell such as scout or some types of assassins with thief and spy classes. But in the current case, this spell is the most suitable spell.

[Anosmia] at the 4th level of magic will evolve into [Coryza] and at the peak of the magic evolution of the 6th, 8th, and 10th levels will become [Rhisillness], [Rhisneumonia], and [Acute Pneumonia].

Alex stood up with a slight waver.

"Wait a minute Rain."

Alex casts a similar spell on Rain.

"Okay, this way we're not gonna throw up."

"Master?"

Rain was confused by what his master was doing. Then he saw his master walking into a cave. Of course Rain followed him until not long after, he saw his master digging the ground and then carrying the lump of soft soil.

"Don't just stand up, follow what I'm doing."

Rain followed what Alex did. Then the two came out with a pile of black earth in their respective arms.

Oh shit, this stinks!

Even with the debuff spell, Alex could still smell the scent of this dirt. As an archdeus who has descended into the world, Alex has an average of senses that are much more sensitive than anyone else. Of course in addition to his very sharp vision, Alex also has an amazingly accurate smell.

But he was patient.

This was all for the sake of developing this stupid subordinate of his.

"Rain, smother your body with this."

"Huh?"

Before Rain could ask, Alex had smeared his body with all the ground they had brought. Rain did something similar.

"Sir, what is this?"

Rain who did not know what had been covered in his body finally asked sinlessly.

Alex who held the unpleasant scent on his body finally relented and told Rain with great fortitude.

"We're bathing in goblin shit. Are you satisfied?"

"What?!"

Rain shouted in surprise. But when he sniffed his body, there was absolutely no smell.

"But I don't smell anything, sir."

"of course! What spell do you think I gave you before?!"

Alex slightly raised his voice when explaining. Of course he was annoyed, seeing how he had sacrificed to be able to make his subordinates develop but this foolish subordinate still understood nothing.

"Oh .. but why are we wearing goblin shit, sir?" ask Rain.

"Of course, follow. You might not get a second chance. Oh yes Rain, collect bushes and leaves. We're gonna cosplay seaweed."

***

"Well, so as you can see, even though this cave is dark and full of rocks. But actually this cave is a living creature. So you could say right now we are, and the monsters in the cave are on a sightseeing trip in the belly of a giant creature."

Alex explains to Rain the ins and outs, secrets, and history of a creature named Kvislnidhogg.

Currently the two had entered the cave which was a false dungeon. They certainly didn't just come in.

First, after smearing their bodies with goblin droppings, they then tied the grass and leaves to their bodies. So they look like a soldier camouflaging in the woods. Then they carried a fire torch made from the sap of a certain tree and rolled it on the end of a wooden stick.

"Hey right there, what are you two doing."

"!!!"

Rain was startled when he heard the strange roar that appeared in another cave passage.

"Oh hello sir. We're newcomers from the woods."

Alex answered kindly.

Alex is currently greeting a green-skinned creature. The creature wasn't very tall around 4'7. Yup, this creature is a male goblin.

To Rain, the communication between his master and the goblin was nothing more than a monster roar. However he recalled his master's message to remain silent when the monster appeared.

"Hohoho newcomers turned out. Nicely, hmm ... What kind of creatures are you?"

"We are known as Kelpman. You can call me Patar, and this is my sister, Sponskar."

"Well, well, you two are handsome creatures."

Alex thanked the goblin. He looked at the goblin who originally wanted to get closer suddenly moving back slowly. Even goblins will feel disgusted by the smell of their own feces. Of course the same as with humans, goblins would not be able to distinguish the difference of each dirt. Provided that the smell is rotten then it is dirt regardless of what creature is removing it.

Oh what a good goblin, Alex thought.

Alex is happy with this goblin. So he started chatting with the goblin. Although the archdeus Sheol experienced a massive nerf when he descended to the world as Alex, but as archdeus, Alex can still talk or communicate with various species of creatures. It was thanks to one of the three remaining skills from Alex that is [Link of Species]

"What are you doing?" ask Alex.

"Oh, I'm waiting for my wife to give birth. Soon she'll give birth to her 7th child."

The goblin pointed to a room that was quite large and it looked quite a lot of grass and foliage that was used as a floor mat.

"May all go safely."

Alex said sincerely to the goblin. Of course the goblin roared who meant to say thank you.

"You can call me Powpow. I'm sorry to offend you before but are you guys creatures who can't see in the dark?"

The goblin named Powpow asked with some hesitation. He was afraid of offending these two creatures. Yet he could not help but ask when he saw the torch held by these two beings.

"Yes, we are demihumans who always walk slowly in the grass during the day so we have difficulty seeing at night."

Powpow nodded then he gave a suggestion.

"It's best if you guys want to stay, I suggest going a bit deep. Take a left turn and so on until you meet at the reception take the rightmost aisle. There the room was not too dark because there was a glowing mushroom and there were also quite a lot of mana stones and fruits."

While explaining, the goblin gave directions with his hands. Of course Alex listened carefully.

After saying thank you, Alex and Rain went to follow the direction Powpow had said.

When there are no monsters, Alex will ask Rain of course with human language.

"So how?"

"Master, you're amazing. So all this time you can talk to goblins?!"

Rain stared in admiration. The more he knew his master's abilities, the more he felt that his master was a very extraordinary person. Now he found it strange why so many people in the mansion always said his master was trash.

"Well, but it's both of us, okay."

"Good Sir. Of course I will keep it a secret, I promise."

The deeper the two entered, the more creatures they encountered.

In addition to goblins, they also meet other demihumans such as ratfolk who are rat-shaped demihumans, Chriproman demihumans are half-bat shaped and are often considered distant relatives of vampires, and even up to Entoman, demihumans are half insect shaped. However they did not find more common demihumans such as orcs and trolls.

In addition, they also encountered several magical beasts namely Migntnetric Wolf, Phantom Snake, and small demihumans like Silver Mole.

"Sir, why does this place feel ..."

Alex replied before Rain's sentence was finished.

"Feel peaceful? Well, this is actually not very common. Maybe the creatures here have long settled in Kvislnidhogg's body so they've divided each other's territory."

This is the most likely. Most of the monsters fighting inside the false dungeon were creatures fighting over territory. After all, Kvislnidhogg's body was such a rich territory that wherever they lived, as long as it was Kvislnidhogg's body, they would benefit not the least. So instead of continuing to fight, for the monsters that had stayed for a long time, they would by themselves have their own territory. They even share with other creatures.

This was very different from the monster conditions in the original dungeon where monsters tended to be aggressive towards each other. This was due to the uneven distribution of resources in the original dungeon.

They came to the place Powpow was talking about.

It was a place filled with mana stones and mushrooms that kept on giving off light.  The stones where it soared up and reflected the light from the fungus thus making it resemble a crystal.

"Wow ...."

Rain was very impressed with this place.

While Rain was stunned by enjoying the beauty that existed, Alex observed that there were other plants here.

Many mid-level magic plants from level C to B were here. Alex saw a plant that resembled a vine. The fruit is similar to wine but has a color like ice and gives off cold. Alex picked it up and tried to eat it.

The taste of this magic plant is incredibly sweet.

This not only had a delicious taste, but Alex also felt the improvement of mana he received.

So this plant has a good effect for mana.

Alex didn't throw the seeds out of the plant. He kept it in his pocket. Alex also picked up some of the wine and also collected other fruits.

Later, Alex accidentally discovers a newly grown plant seed.

Rain who had been satisfied to see the beauty also gathered fruit just like Alex did.

He tried to eat fruit that resembled an apple.

There's no taste? thought Rain.

"What are you eating?"

Alex is worried that this subordinate is eating something wrong.

"Sir, I ate this."

Rain pointed at the fruit he was eating.

"Oh."

Alex knows the fruit. The fruit has the benefit of cleaning up toxins that have long been lodged in the body.

Well this is a medical plant.

"Rain, if you want to eat something, don't try to eat carelessly. Tell me first."

"Good, Sir."

"By the way, this is the perfect place to stay. All right, I've decided. We're gonna stay here now."
