ARCHDEUS
INTERIM LORD(1)

Third eye (Third Eyes), it is just a term that is often used by the users of spiritual power such as necromancers, shamans, shamans, and the seirei that define their ability to see the existence of beings or existences that most people cannot see.  This ability is needed by spiritual users because they often interact with supernatural existences such as spirits, souls, and ghosts. Usually third eyes are obtained through training but there are some cases where third eyes are an advantage that is obtained naturally.

What Barnard saw from Alex after using his third eye was ...

"What's? Nothing special."

"Basic Stupid! You don't see that guy's soul shape like a black hole?"

Vyn who was hovering by Barnard's side shouted furiously.

"Black holes? what'sthat?" asked Barnard innocently.

"Well God .. why did I become a partner with this fool! Listen, Barn, all those human souls follow their bodies so no one has a black hole soul."

As Vyn said, every soul of a person will follow their body or maybe actually vice versa, every body shape follows the shape of their soul. Regardless of who follows whom, both the physical body shape and the soul form are like a betel nut halved.

But what Barnard and Vyn saw in Alex's soul was his colorless soul form, not following his body shape, and only a disc-shaped curving light.

"That is, he had such a heavy soul mass that the Gods and angels decided to create a singularity against his soul!" shout Vyn.

"Oh really, I don't know that. hehehehe ..."

Barnard laughed awkwardly while scratching his head.

"Basic stupid! This is a subject that is often discussed in astronomy and cosmology! Even a spiritual user like you would have gotten occultismology lessons right!?"

"Hey! Oi! don't be that many years ago. I can't remember."

As Vyn said, the matter of singularities and black holes is a fairly complex scientific discussion. The singularity is derived from the general relativity series. In short, occultismology adopts a physical approach and a supernatural view of the existence of black holes. They believe, they believe, the singularity of the soul indicates that it has such a large mass that to prevent it from having any effect on space and time the gods would shackle the soul in the Schwarzschild Radius[1] to create a ring singularity.

"Barn, don't kill them. You don't understand how special this person is to spirits. If the spirits find this person, they will be willing to become his slave" Vyn said seriously.

"Huh ..really!" shouted Barnard.

"B-but still at least I should know his identity right?" barnard whisper.

"Don't bully him"

Barnard doesn't understand why Vyn becomes so possessive of people they just meet. Spirits are hard to understand.

Alex who heard all their talk clearly knew that his current position had the upper hand. So he happily revealed his identity.

"Sir, my name is Alex and my friend is named Rain. We are county residents. We were training in the forest but we accidentally found a dungeon so we explored it."

"Hoh, as I thought. Well, there was no way an ordinary person could enter this dungeon safely. So you must have the ability. Are you an adventurer?" ask Barnard.

"No, I am a local noble who has a background as a swordman."

"Huh ... swordman? Not witches? Uh wait, did you say you were a noble?"

Although the term nobility is quite a thing that is respected by commoners, but for adventurers who are often confused, of course, the title does not have the effect of fear as it happens to the common people. But Barnard was a man who at least had an adab so after he learned of the identity of the man named Alex as a noble, he at least changed his speech style to semi-formal.

"So are you a noble not afraid of danger in a dungeon?"

"Don't worry, I have a solid foundation of training as a swordsman. So it doesn't matter."

Barnard knew many young nobles who were overconfident in their strength. That will cause them to end badly.  Like these two people, Barnard had no idea if he was his group not doing a raid today, it was likely that these two people would not survive. Especially in this dungeon there are 2 legacy-class magic beasts.

In the end Barnard did not question Alex again. Now that they had found the core of the dungeon that was within the lake and searched all the places in the dungeon and found no more magic beasts or demihumans, they had finally returned.  Of course Alex and Rain followed. Barnard did not mind, he thought simply, if the two men were nobles and thanked them for being saved, they would definitely give a gift.

They saw a group of people who had built tents near the cave.

"Honored Adventurers, welcome back."

The leader of the group outside the cave congratulated Barnard's group.

He then glanced at the two additional people in the adventurer group.

He remembered only 6 people who entered the dungeon.

Seeing the confusion of the person, Alex decided to speak.

"The two of us are just ordinary people who were accidentally trapped in a dungeon."

Alex signals Barnard.

Of course Barnard's not stupid. He knew what Alex meant.

The relationship between the Adventurers Guild and Nobles was quite complicated. The nobles needed adventurers as bodyguards, mercenaries, or even to help rid their area of monsters. On the contrary, adventurers need nobles because nobles are elites who have extraordinary wealth so arguably the guild's biggest source of income comes from nobles.

However conflict arises when the condition of the raid is especially when a very valuable false dungeon appears. Especially if this event is related to industry interests.

As it stands today, Barnard's client on this raid was a mining company called Nightorb Corp. legally, which, if a dungeon is found in the territory of a noble then the report should be given to the government authorities in this case the nobles. But the result is that most likely the nobles only conduct raids on false dungeons by using the soldiers they have without including the adventurers. Then to make up for the loss let's call it because of the death toll during the raid, the nobility would monopolize the ownership and business operations of the false dungeon, so the industry in this case is the company that found the false dungeon will not get any profit.

So in order to prevent the nobles from monopolizing all profits, usually when the raid especially the dungeon is done, the industrial parties who are clients and inventors of the dungeon or false dungeon will make offers to the adventurer guild. In such a case if in court the company is asked why it did not report it to the government, they will answer that 'they had reported the existence of the dungeon to the adventurer guild and the adventurers had done their duty so well that it could prevent disaster to the surrounding citizens.'

Both the client and the guild will work together as if to make the condition an emergency so as not to have time to report it to the government. In the end, the government in this case the nobles would be depressed not only because of the cooperation between the company and the guild but also by the morale of the surrounding citizens who considered the adventurers to have prevented a disaster in their place. So on that condition, in order not to damage the name of the nobility, they would give 'gift of thanks' for helping to secure their territory so that they were forced to allow the company to get the property and rights to manage the dungeon, he said, then they would also give gifts to the adventurer guild as thanks. The advantage gained by the nobility is to provide tariffs or taxes to all commodity raids including mining or non-mining commodities.

Barnard did not want himself and his group to be dragged into that complicated flow of conflict. So he just said,

"Yes, they were just hunters who accidentally broke into the dungeon and got stuck there. Luckily we were able to save him."

"Oh so, all right. I'm glad you're both safe."

The group chairman of the Nightorb company representatives believes.

"However, earlier apologize, did the two of you take something from that dungeon? For security, we would like to say that all the items you get from the dungeon should not be brought. We're afraid the stuff contains poison or something that harms the population."

The leader of the group spoke to Alex. Surely he spoke softly but his gaze was fierce.

Alex understands that. Of course the company does not want to lose. They would definitely not let any one stone be taken by an outsider for free.

"No sir, we didn't bring anything. Right Rain?" said Alex.

"Really! We didn't bring anything!" reply Rain nervously.

Pokk!

A finger-sized mana stone fell from Rain's bag.

"...."

"...."

Note:

Schwarzschild radius[1]: the radius of the event horizon surrounding a constant black hole. Any object with a physical radius smaller than the Schwarzschild radius would be a black hole. This is a physical parameter in Schwarzschild's solution to the Einstein field equation that defines the horizon or boundary of a black hole event.
