ARCHDEUS
PLENUM(5)

On the fifth day after the second session ended, finally the parliamentary trial entered its third session. The third session was the initial session of the debate. At this stage, the lower nobles of the title of viscount down will argue with each other both to the plaintiff and between supporters. Since this is the session with the most number of interactions, it is the session sometimes referred to as the hottest session. But fortunately this session actually does not have a significant influence because it passes or not a proposal is in the fourth and fifth sessions.

This time the parliament room was no longer a spacious auditorium but a narrow room for hundreds of nobles present.

This room consists of two floors. The first floor was filled with lowly nobles. They consist of two rows of benches, the right row, which is generally the supporters and the left row, namely the rejectors of the lawsuit. Although the shape of a row of benches is binary (opposite each other) but in fact the political spectrum in this room can be more than two. Generally it is reflected in the many coalition of nobles that exist.

The second floor was the place of the great nobles or priests. Both groups at this session are not required to attend. They were generally there just to watch the debate unfold. That was why at this session other than the lowly nobles, very few priests or grand nobles were present.

Aside from the differences in the room and system, the, at this session the leadership of the assembly was no longer presided over by the King but by the nobleman appointed as Chairman of the Council of Nobles (Lord Speaker of the Right Honourable the Lord of Temporal of Arthania Kingdom in Parliament Assembled). In other words, the practical trial this time is a trial that opened in the name of the House of Lords instead of the House of Parliament.

The Constitution of the Kingdom of Artchania states that the position of Lord Speaker shall be held by the Lord Chancellor

The position of Lord Chancellor in addition to being a lord speaker in the House of Lords, is also the chief judge of the Nobility Court/Nobility Court (Nobility Court) and the General Court/State General Court (Common Court).

The appointment of Lord Chancellor is based on the king's discretion but usually the prime minister can give advice and proposals in the election of Lord Chancellor.

The current position of Lord Chancellor is held by the Marquess of Whitesburg.

By this time, after the speaker lord Marquess Whitesburg opened the trial, the trial had already begun to warm up. It began when the objection of the party who rejected the lawsuit gave its argument.

"My Lords, in this trial I want to set the record straight. For almost two weeks we have been given heartbreaking information on the destruction of Otilia and Yorksall. But instead of looking for a way out, we continue to blame Lord Canadia for what has happened in Yorksall and Otilia. Have we ever wondered why this war is happening? My Royal Highnesses, My Right Honourable Lords and My Eminences, I will remind you of the origin of this war flared up. When it was the winter we had before, everyone including the people of the March of Canadia stopped their activities and continued to stay at home during the blizzard. During those circumstances, thousands or even hundreds of thousands of Canadians depend on their lives from the allocation of grain sent by my Lord Marquess Canadia to his people. But during that crucial period, a group of people with the emblem of Otilia and carrying the flag of the nobility of Otilia destroyed and robbed one of the largest grain warehouses owned by Marquess Canadia. Didn't all of you ever think about how the hard life of the Canadians was caused by Otilia robbing their wheat? How many children should starve to death during the winter because they do not get enough grain? How many men and women have died in the snowstorm in search of grain for their children because their grain was stolen by the Otilians? We should also be thinking what if our territory is in a state of Canadia which is slumped due to their stolen wheat. It's not just blaming my master just because his opponent looks a little more pathetic."

The nobleman who gave this argument was only a baron-level noble. He was not a marquess but since the baron was politically affiliated with the coalition of marquesses then naturally he would defend his master with all his might.

Plaque ... plaque ... plaque ....

"That's right!"

"Master Canadia is not wrong! Bravo Canadia!"

The entire nobility of the marquess coalition clapped and shouted in support of the argument. While the other nobles especially from the Sandwealth Coalition gave a mockery towards the same argument.

"Order! Orderup! Rrrrrr!!"

Lord Speaker shouted to appease the council members. Then after the atmosphere began to subside, he again allowed the baron to continue his argument.

"What if what Canadia experienced was also experienced by the gentlemen?" said the baron.

The baron suddenly appoints Alex who is the holder of the power of attorney of Otilia who made him as the representative of Otilia.

"What if what happened to Canadia also happened in your territory, My Lord? What if the Fertiphile had to be short of wheat because your wheat was stolen by a group of people who came from the territory of your neighboring nobles? Will the Fertiphile which is the county of swordsmen just be silent to see their wheat stolen and make all the children of the successor nations and nations of your region have to die of hunger during the winter? Or will you try to defend yourself as Canadia did for the sake of the people and the future of the children in your region? Even if Canadia did not defend itself, Otilia would still be devastated because they themselves were in a civil war. "

Plaque ... plaque ... plaque ....

Back the sound of applause and cheers of support along with insults told each other.

"Orderrrrrr!! It is now the turn of The Right Honourable Lord Alexander of Fertiphile" cried Lord Speaker.

"The Right Honourable Lord Speaker, let me set straight the logic of the fallacy that seeks to be built in This Assembly of His Majesty. I will not discuss the Otilian civil war because it is not the context of the discussion in this Assembly. In fact, the, the investigation into Canadia's wheat attack to date in an official letter by the Royal Security Authority remains incomplete and has not provided strong evidence of Otilia's involvement in the theft. But even before the investigation was complete, Lord Canadia made subjective allegations that the assault and theft that occurred against his grain warehouse was purely carried out by Otilia. Thus he gave the justification that Otilia had caused the casus belli which ended in no small bloodshed. In this condition has Canadia not clearly followed or taken into account the wisdom of the royal security authorities or the judicial system in our country? Is not this the same as he (Lord Canadia) considers that the institution you lead, Lord Speaker ( , that is, the nobility judiciary institution cannot be relied upon to seek the truth so it savagely invades Otilia on the basis of an unproven casus belli in our justice system."

"That's right!"

"Canadians are savages!"

"Life Otilia!"

The nobles of the Sandwealth Coalition gave a rousing support. Even among the frenzied voices, the cries of Count Yorksall who kept on cursing Canadia were like "F**k U Canadia!" could hear.

The process of argument is mutual where the lawfulness for the sake of authenticity, objection for the sake of objection continues to be aired. Until finally the Lord Speaker of the House of Lord finally closed this third session.

After the trial was over, Alex and Regis were relaxing in the mansion. They chatted lightly after spending not a little energy in the House of Lords.

"Well, Alex, I can't believe you're so good at talking" Regis said.

"Well, maybe I don't know that I'm quite chatty either" Alex said.

What Alex said was right. He was also surprised by his ability to make arguments. That was because generally as an archdeus, Alex preferred to use his strength to defeat opponents. Instead of using the power of argument.

"Well, you should be able to relax now. In the fourth session you will not argue too much because in that session the priests are judges and they are generally much quieter than nobles" Regis said.

"Well, may your words be right" Alex said.

The fourth session takes place two weeks after the third session is over.

On this is the turn of the House of Spirituality. The members of the spiritual assemblies that contain high priests are known as members of the spiritual house. The leader of this trial was directly led by Pontifex Eliarius.

Finally the fifth session began. This session was held almost two weeks after the fourth session was conducted so that it was practical if this session managed to achieve a 50% majority vote%+1 then ended the trial in the House of Parliament which has lasted approximately two months.

In this session all elements of the House of Spiritual and House of Lords, as well as elements of royalty gathered.

Led by the king and his four deputies, voting began.

Voting is carried out by all the great nobles so that the low nobles and priests only need to see the process and the results of the decision of the vote.

This vote uses a paper containing the surname of the great nobility and then chooses whether to agree, reject, or abstain in the vote.

After the voting was over, the Grand Chamberlain opened the voting city and then loudly read out the results one by one.

"Fertiphile: Agree."

Plaque ... plaque ....

All the nobles and priests who supported Otilia and Yorksall applauded.

"Morhust: Agree"

"Sinteny: Agree."

"Canadia: Refuse."

"Shiftervoice: Refuse."

"Sandwealth: Agree."

"Otilia: Agree."

"Yorksall: Agree."

"Westwealth: Refuse."

"Norchaster: Agree."

"Life Otilia!!!" shouted the nobles.

"Live Yorksall!!!" shouted the nobles.

Excited cries broke out as Norchaster let out his opinion. As the head of the coalition, Norchaster's voice must have been followed by its members. That means two coalitions support the lawsuit from Otilia and Yorksall.

After the atmosphere stabilized again, the Grand Chamberlain continued its count.

"Granadia: Agree."

"Bluemon: Agree."

"Godnessvoice: Refuse."

"Artheven: Agree."

"Hornwall: Abstain."

"Great Manest: Agree."

"Hildalion: Agree."

"Whitesburg: Abstain."

"The overall result: 12 agreed; 4 refused, and 2 abstained" the Grand Chamberlain said.

The lawmakers who voted agreed to celebrate their victory. Count Yorksall could not hold back her tears and rushed to hug Alex and all the members of her coalition.

As for the two marquesses who chose to abstain, it seems like they both realized that what Canadia did to Yorksall and Otilia was very difficult to cover up so they chose to wash their hands before the splash.

After the fleeting celebration was over, the king then read the edict.

The nobles and priests stood up.

"My Lords and members of the house of the spiritual, on this day, the house of parliament has again given birth to a unanimous and binding joint decision. We, Theodore II, by the Grace of Gods, King of the Artchania Kingdom, Defender of the Faith, Princeps Senatus of the Right Honourable the Lords of Spiritual and Temporal of Artchania Kingdom in Parliament Assembled, Commander of the Royal Armed Forces, etc., etc., etc. deciding to command Our loyal subject, Lord Canadia to immediately withdraw his soldiers and stop his attacks on Otilia and Yorksall."
