ARCHDEUS
NATIONAL EMERGENCY(1)

The city of Hadalon is a place where 1001 laughs and 666 smiles appear. The city was the trading center of the southern region of the Kingdom of Artchania. Because in addition to being a gateway for bilateral transactions for the kingdom, Hadalon City also has natural wealth that is not playing. The city is under the rule of the March of Canadia with the geography of the city is flanked by two large mountains, namely the Magdala Mountains in the north and the Aindes Mountains in the south. Thanks to its location, the Hadalon City area and its surroundings have fertile land because it is at an ideal height and is supported by stable rainfall. That was why this city had the fastest growth even in some aspects much better than the capital of the Kingdom of Artchania. Unfortunately, all these are memories.

Hadalon City is now like a dead city. 1001 laughter turned into 1001 cries and 666 smiles now turned into 666 cries. The cause is the appearance of a mysterious disease . The divine type witches were mainly priests calling this disease by the name of Black Death . Somehow since when but now more than 17% of the population has been infected in this beloved City of Hadalon.

According to people, they begin to lose their sense of smell and are unable to feel anything from their tongues. Then, their blood slowly began to coagulate and turn dark black. At its peak, smallpox-like bumps begin to grow all over the body and break into pus.

For a while the priests made the assumption that the disease was spread through air and touch. While based on its nature, this disease turned out to be responsive to holy magic so that it was declared as a disease derived from curses.

But on some testimonies, people said they saw a dark black shadow approaching them. Then it started transmitting something like dark smoke. Most likely that's where the curse came from.

Inside a woman's house, a child was lying helpless. His body was full of boils-like protrusions. Only distinguishing, the protrusions have broken and continue to bleed and pus, so it smells very unpleasant. Not only that, he also spewed out black-colored blood several times. His body was very thin, only bones wrapped in skin and coupled with the number of flies that flew around him. It now looks a lot like a carcass.

"Adventurer Mr ... Mr Adventurer, don't you see how my son is doing now? Please sir, please help my son."

The middle-aged woman continued to cry over her son. He continued to cry from the beginning of the journey to his home

The woman continued to plead with Richard. Not knowing what he was thinking so he asked for help from an adventurer like Richard, maybe he had been desperate.

"Calm Mom. Iona, use the [Cicatrizing] spell on the boy."

Richard gave the order to Iona, but Iona was a little hesitant about it.

"But Sir."

"It's okay, just try it first" Richard said.

"Well," said Iona.

Iona approached the boy. Due to the unpleasant aroma arising from the wound of the child, Iona unconsciously closed her nose using one of her hands. While the other hand he raised towards the child. Then Iona cast a spell.

"[Catrising]!"

[Cicatrizing] is a spell that comes from arcane type magic. Unlike [Heal] magic or other divine-type healing magic, arcane-type healing magic is generally rougher and with a lower probability of success. In addition, arcane-type healing magic was much more wasteful. [Cicatrizing] itself was categorized as a tier 4 magic but its performance was slightly worse than that of a Divine type healing magic, [Heal] which categorized as a tier three magic.

From his palm appeared a glimmer of light that continued to expand. The light hit the child's body, so that the wound slowly closed. But after the [Cicatrizing] spell was finished, the child's wounds reopened as before. As said before, for now the priests gave the name for this plague named black death, a disease caused by a curse that is still unknown cure. So it takes more powerful spells than [Cicatrizing, ][Heal] or even [Recovery], and also special potions, not just haphazard.

Because the middle-aged woman saw that no one could save her child, she cried. Without any disrespect, Richard, Iona and the rest of the Falcon team left the woman's house. After quite a long walk and the woman's house is no longer visible.

They continued to walk towards the inn. But on the way back they saw a figure who had contracted the final stage black death. That guy's body is really sad. His stomach was swollen like a hungry puff. He was taken out of his house probably to be escorted to the temple or simply thrown away for being a burden to the family.

The Falcon team led by Richard looked directly at the change with their eyes. The city that was once very busy and crowded is now turning into silence and filled with gripping air.

Finally they arrived at the inn. This was not a luxury inn before. If the inn they used to live in had a market for merchants, then here was a dwelling for adventurers. There they rested, releasing all the fatigue and fatigue that existed. But it was only a short while, only half an hour had passed, their important partner Gale the informant came and gave a letter to Richard. The letter is from Norchaster. This is an old order that asks for additional information regarding the condition of the marquess. But this is not the right time to report to the government. There was an event far more important than the investigation into the Marquess of Canadia, namely the emergence of an unidentified outbreak or epidemic in the City of Hadalon. There will definitely be a tiring incident happening.

Along the street corner, they could hear various cries of agony and pain.

Many people suddenly fell unconscious on the street. But what is more surprising is that until now there has been no quick response from government authorities in this case was the Marquess of Canadia.

The temple also expressed their disappointment with the state's actions being too slow.

The Falcon team is currently at the inn. They were currently together with the merchants especially the informant from Norchaster namely Gale.

"Sir Richard, I've contacted my subordinates in the capital. They will soon be sending our current situation to the Duke of Norchaster with immediate effect" Gale said.

As a prime minister and Grand Chamberlain, the Duke of Norchaster's position made him have to spend far more time in the royal capital instead of in his own territory.

"Well, thank you, Mr. Gale."

Richard then turned his attention to everyone.

"Look, we don't know what happened to Hadalon right now. A strange disease that suddenly spreads. That's why for a while we'll suspend the mission and stay here."

Both Richard and the others also experienced fear of this mysterious plague. Especially when they do not know the cause and how the disease spreads.

"It will take a long time for the country to respond to this. The only hope right now is the Canadian government."

Inevitably they had to remain in the inn and wait for a decision from the Canadians.
