The Lord of the Grand Chamberlain announced the arrival of the king and the members of the procession.

Led by the Duke of Norchaster as Lord of the Grand Chamberlain, the entire procession of King Theodore II, Pontifex Eliarius Xavier Augustus, Prince Henry, Prince Albert, and other members of the procession such as a high priest who took up positions as one of the vice-leaders of the trial and the herdsmen, all walked into the courtroom.

The king sat in the chair of the congregation, to his left the vice-chairmen of the congregation of the nobility while to his right was the seat of the vice-chairmen of the congregation of the temple.

The princes sat on another seat outside the congregation's leadership. In the House of Parliament, the princes have no voting rights but have the right to express an opinion.

After the king sat down and the Grand Chamberlain allowed everyone to sit down on the king's permission, the opening of the trial began.

Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Artchania Marquess Beldon Ellison Hornwall gave a speech. It contained praises to the king and reports on the achievements of his cabinet government.  Next, the king would then deliver his state speech. Everything is a long and boring procession.

When the House of Parliament has convened, this will take place in a short time. It will usually consist of different stages.

The first stage is the opening of a parliamentary session containing a royal speech from the king, and an executive report to the legislature.

The second stage is the report or header of the problem being sued. This will be delivered by the party requesting the trial.

The third stage was the opinion of the nobles. At this stage, low-class nobles such as viscounts and barons could give their views.

The fourth stage is the approval of the application submitted to the House of Spiritual. At this stage the proposal/application can be rejected if it gets a unanimous vote or at least 2/3 members of the House of Spiritual.

The fifth stage was the voting process of the grand nobles with the title of count and above. At this stage, the proposal can be approved if it gets a unanimous vote or at least gets 50%+1 votes from members.

The sixth stage is the approval of the extension of the discussion of proposals submitted to the king. This agenda occurs when the vote in the fifth stage fails to get a majority. At this stage the discussion process will be repeated to the first agenda.

The seventh stage is the enactment of decrees by the highest temporal authority. This stage is a condition in which the king has the right to pass a discussion if the vote in the fifth stage is in the condition of deadlock and the proposal has previously received an extension of discussion by the king at least once (sixth stage).

At today's meeting they didn't have too much interaction. Just sit down and listen to each session.

Some young people who still do not have political experience yawn and some even fall asleep.

The first stage was nearing its end after all the formal speeches were read out. The king who had risen from his seat.

Because of his age, the king used a cane to help him walk. The wand was clad in gold with the royal symbol.

The Grand Chamberlain announced the departure of the king.

Everyone stood up and the fanfare trumpet ignited.

"Announce the departure of His Majesty Princeps Senatus King Theodore Lycurgus Aurelius Augustus, King of the Kingdom of Artchania!"

Due to its extremely smooth and high quality carpet, the king's staff made no sound at all.

After that, the council members began to disband. Some went straight home while others decided to stay in the courtroom to discuss some things with their colleagues.

The Sandwealth Coalition is one of them.

The entire coalition initially gathered in the courtroom but they decided to move. That's because they will talk about the political strategy that will be done. So it's pretty secret.

Unfortunately, there was a severe miscommunication.

Normally everything in coalition actions would be coordinated by the duke. However, since the current duke does not exist, it is transferred to his son. Unfortunately, his son was not very good at organizing people. Moreover, most of those present were representatives of dynasties who on average were young people instead of the aged head of the family.

But in the end they managed to meet. They decided to meet outside the parliament building.

It is located in a luxurious inn that is still in the capital region.

Karl Bernhard Sandwealth, the second son of Duke Sandwealth. He was around 20 and he is currently one of the members of the royal knight order.

From the beginning he was never prepared as the successor of the Sandwealth dynasty.  His elder brother, the heir to the dynasty, Franz Maximilian Sandwealth was unable to attend parliament as he was currently following the Artchania-Ibeltia war.

Practically because his brother and father were unable to attend parliamentary meetings, he became a representative for his territory.

This was the first time for Charles to hold a political meeting.

He was currently going to lead a meeting with the other six great nobles.

After everyone had sat down at their respective places, Karl suddenly stood up and spoke quite loudly.

"Thank you for all the gentlemen."

Karl spontaneously lowered his head.

Perhaps for people who come from a lower viscount family background will often do this. However for a child of a duke, this was a bit pitiful.

"Do you think this guy is competent?"

Regis whispered to Alex.

He had seen the behavior of the duke's son named Karl since the meeting in the parliament room.

As a person who already had experience in meetings and lobbies, Regis could tell that Karl was an incompetent person.

"Maybe he's nervous. I don't know, he doesn't seem to have enough insight to be the leader of the coalition" Alex said.

Karl seemed to have not realized his mistake just now. He sat down again and now read the text given by his ministry.

The text contains a welcome and a thank you. It should not be too strange but Karl's gesture of just focusing on reading without making eye contact to the audience is a misnomer.

This meeting was not a formal meeting. This is more about the lobbying activities of the aristocrats.

At the moment their coalition must act and make clear maneuvers.

"The next meeting will be held no later than two weeks later. At the meeting will later discuss the topic of the issue that will be aired. It means that Mr. Yorksall and Mr. Otilia will make a plea in court."

"We will support whatever my Lord and my Lord demands. We're going to make sure those in the way have to keep their mouths shut" Karl said.

"Young Master Sandwealth, what do you mean by those who shut up?"

Yorksall asked seriously. This was the last step he could fight for his county. So you have to win any way.

"Sir, we're going to put pressure on government factions by showing evidence that since this coalition government came to power, they can't provide stability to the country."

What Karl said was referring to the coalition of trio-marqueses that is currently the government wing. The current prime minister is Lord Hornwall, one of three marquesses.

"We will also urge the Norchaster coalition because they are also responsible for the state's losses during the fief war as it tries to delay the opening of the House of Parliament session" Karl said.

Karl's words were not without reason. Duke Norchaster was a Grand Chamberlain who held an important and crucial position. In addition to taking care of matters related to finances, he sometimes gave advice to the king which made him have a very strong position. It is most likely that the postponement of the parliamentary meeting was due to the advice of Norchaster.

Hearing Karl's confident speech made the nobles present become optimistic. Philip is no exception either.

But somehow Count Yorksall was worried.

"So, does everyone agree?" ask Karl.

The nobles nodded and confidently expressed their agreement.

Except ... Alex.

"Sir, are you sure of the plan?"

"Yes, is there a problem with Young Master Fertiphile?" ask Karl.

"It's quite serious. I find your plan difficult to realize. It is however impossible for us to attack two camps at once unless we have a majority."

What Alex said is not without reason. Although the Sandwealth coalition is the largest coalition but they do not have a majority of the number of grand nobles.

Taking into account the worst conditions because they nudge two camps at once then that means they will be attacked by two directions. If counting the votes of the Sandwealth Coalition which numbered 7 grand nobles, the Norchaster coalition numbered 5 grand nobles, and the trio-marquess coalition numbered 6 grand nobles then they would find a ratio of 7:11. To achieve a majority, they must have at least a 10:8 vote.

"So what do you want to say Sir?" asked Karl cynically.

Alex looks much younger than him. So he felt that the great nobleman did not have much experience and was naive.

"Master there is a condition that when two people have the same enemy, then they can be friends for a short time. I propose to create a memorandum of understanding between Sandwealth and Norchaster."

"Young Master Fertiphile, you're in too much of a hurry. Indeed, if you look at a glance to make a temporary cooperation with Norchaster is not a bad thing but you must know that it will not be as easy as said," said Karl.

What he said was not without reason. The two dukes, Sandwealth and Norchaster, have long been in competition with each other. Even though their rivalry causes them to fall together, a trio-marquess coalition can form their government for the first time.

"I agree with Young Master Fertiphile's income. It's a very bad condition. Our country has been much troubled by the prolonged war between our country and the Kingdom of Cephareae and the Arthania-Ibeltia war, now we have to face war between nobles. These conditions both cause great harm to anyone.  I'm sure Norchaster is aware of that as well."

This time Regis stood with a clear argument. Regis and Alex don't say it, but everyone but Karl knows that the relationship between Fertiphile and Norchaster is at its best. If this can be exploited then the establishment of a memorandum of understanding between these two coalitions can take place.
