TROOPS AND BANKING(2)

Zack, a silver-level adventurer with no role. It meant that he was not a user of supernatural power, all the achievements he currently obtained were purely from his physical strength alone without the interference of mana energy and aura. He was currently in an area called Alexandreia. Previously, Zack was from Morhust who was running a quest to guard the caravan of traders who carried slaves.

He was actually quite surprised when he first came to Alexandreia. He realized that the place he said had just been destroyed by the outbreak had now recovered into a crowded area. Not only that, even now the adventurer guild has re-opened its branch here.  At first he heard that the adventurer guild branch in this area had long been closed due to the plague but now they just opened the door wide to welcome adventurers and clients.

When Zack entered the guild building, he was greeted by the receptionist who was in the lobby.

Zack noticed that there weren't too many people here. Even the board containing the quest leaflets that people usually mobbed with now only looked very quiet. It seemed like this branch had just opened so there were still not many adventurers gathered.

He decided to go find a quest that he thought was appropriate.

After busy searching, he finally found a quest that was considered suitable.

Zack brought the quest sheet and his adventurer identity plate to the receptionist.

"Sir, have you opened an account?" ask receptionist.

"The opening? What'sthat?" zack answered confusedly.

"Master, the current adventurer guild of the Alexandreia branch is cooperating with a service company called Alexandreia Bank. To make it easier for adventurers, Alexandreia Bank will be an intermediary in every search for funds. In addition, the account you open at Alexandreia Bank can be a savings account with the interest system," explained Receptionist.

"Hm ...."

Zack doesn't really understand any of that. He followed the instructions of the receptionist.

"Please follow the announcement sign there. You will arrive at the Alexandreia Bank bureau and you can apply for an account opening" the receptionist explained.

Zack follows all the instructions. When he arrived at customer service from Alexandreia Bank, and said he wanted to open an account, immediately he was crammed with various documents that must be filled. In fact he had to give 1 gold coin as an initial deposit.

For a moment Zack felt he was being cheated and was currently being framed for borrowing money from debt collectors. But all his suspicions were gone when he was given a card that came from high-quality magic paper.

Although Zack was not a magician but this paper he was holding was no ordinary paper. This is a paper that is quite thick like rhinoceros skin, waterproof and most importantly there are magic runes here.

It's not wrong, it's a talisman, Zack thought.

What Zack is going through is purely from the outcome of Alex's negotiations. Previously Alex had summoned Gustav, the grand master of the Fertiphile branch Adventurer Guild to Hadalon. Gustav was used by Alex as an intermediary relationship with the entire adventurer guild. He offered a cooperation between the guild and Alexandreia Bank. Currently the Alexandreia branch adventurer Guild was the only adventurer guild collaborating with Alexandreia Bank. This is a trial period so that if it shows good performance, then this cooperation can be applied to a wider scope.

"Forgot that, at least I have a good quest" Zack said.

Zack read the quest paper he had in his hand. He smiled happily whenever he saw the reward value he could get.

In front of the Hadalon gate, Rain accompanied by two senior soldiers and three soldiers who had just been received into the Alexandreia military was currently waiting for their guide's arrival.

Their mission this time was to carry out a cleanup of the territory. This mission is routinely carried out because it is to prevent demihuman attacks in human settlements.

Unfortunately because their military unit is not yet perfect, Rain has to intervene for something as trivial as this. In addition, they also had to hire adventurers as their guides while in the forest.

But before leaving, they had to wait for their guide to come.

Before long, a man who looked like an adventurer was running towards the gate. When he arrived, he breathlessly apologized for the delay.

"I'm sorry for my delay" said the adventurer.

The adventurer introduced himself named Zack. Then Rain and the others also introduced themselves.

"Alright, since all are gathered, our current mission is to hunt down the demihumans. We got reports that a group of orcs had been seen entering residential areas several times" Rain said.

"Orcs!"

Not only Zack, even Yeux was shocked as well.

"What's wrong?" rain asked confusedly.

As an adventurer, Zack knew about orcs. He knew that the monster was a very powerful demihuman, Although in folklore the creature is often used as a punching bag by heroes but in reality an orc can kill an aura user like a warrior easily. Especially Zack is not an adventurer who can use aura or mana.

Damn, if I knew our mission was a bad orc, I shouldn't have taken that quest! thought Zack with regret.

He should have realized the awkwardness of this mission because this mission offered a very high reward compared to his only task of a guide.

The same goes for Yeux. As a former adventurer, he also knew how powerful the orcs were. Especially his class as a thief resuscitated him the distance of power difference between him and those orcs.

While the other soldiers including the senior soldiers, Egon, and Pierce did not look shocked. Perhaps they were the same as Rain who had never fought an orc or they did have strength above orcs.

"Sir, where did those orcs come from? To my knowledge, in this country orcs roam quite rarely" Pierce said.

Pierce asked with an indifferent gaze but he seriously heard the explanation from Rain.

"My master said it was likely that the orcs were from the Magdala Mountains" Rain explained.

The Magdala Mountains are a mountain range located in the north of the city of Hadalon. The mountain range is quite long, where at least three countries are passed by the Kingdom of Artchania, Kingdom of Cephareae, and the Confederate State of Anachiae.

Pierce fully thought very intensely but no one paid too much attention to him. Instead Egon seemed not to care much about the opponent they were about to face. Whether it was because he who was an ex-mercenary possessed such a powerful strength that there was no need to worry about his opponent or he simply underestimated them for having never met an orc.

"Sir, can't we delay the travel time? I want to buy some necessary equipment" Zack explained.

Zack cried silently because maybe he should dig his wallet out again.

Damnit damnit! My money's gone because of that stupid insurance!

The incident happened a few days ago, exactly after Zack came out of the adventurer guild building. He was immediately approached by someone who said he was from an insurance company. Whether with what kind of marketing skills, Zack finally followed the insurance program. Precisely he followed labor insurance so if Zack was injured during his mission as an adventurer, he would get his medical expenses which would be funded by the insurance. At first he was tempted to hear all that, especially because his work was quite life threatening. Unfortunately, he had to spend a lot of money.

Whether it's banks or insurance agencies, Zack becomes suspicious, possibly the two entities exchange information to find customers.
