ARCHDEUS

ARCHDEUS
FUCKING CONSCRIPTION(3)

Grain and Riven finally can freely release the fatigue that every day their routine is experienced. While eating their lunch voraciously, they were also engrossed in conversation. This afternoon their food menu is fresh bread containing minced meat and some types of vegetables. This is better than eating potatoes every day. Other than them, the other novice warriors also sat down and enjoyed their meals and their individual ways. Today they take revenge by eating a lot after a day of training like in Hell. This training was more exhausting than usual.

"Hah ... shit, why do we have to meet Instructor Morel!"

"Snitch, my waist hurts."

The new soldiers whisper to each other about the oppression perpetrated by the killer's instructor, Morel. The group that experienced the suppression of the instructor excitedly told their grief about all the cruelty of that person in training, while other groups who still have never experienced it can only be creeped out and hypnotized by all the stories that exist.

Grain looked at the entire side, it seemed like the novice soldiers were talking about the same topic. It made him unable to forget the new training he had undergone. He saw his wrist. Although it was quite dark because it was used to being exposed to sunlight, but today his skin really feels burning.

"I hope I graduate soon."

Grain could only give that hope away immediately. Although not yet a year he became a novice soldier, he felt he was very uncomfortable being here. If it were not for the economic condition and safety of his family, he would have preferred to be a farmer. Especially he was very unlucky, the village where he lived was led by an asshole baron. The nobility often confiscated crops and gave a very high land tax to the villagers. Even citizens who cannot pay taxes will be sanctioned from confiscation of assets to slavery. The kingdom explicitly provided for the protection of slavery to citizens, but implicitly the law still provided room for the nobility to enslave citizens on the pretext of efficiency and effectiveness of production. That was why he decided to become a soldier, especially a count warrior. Because great nobles like the Count of Fertiphile have the power to protect soldiers or warrior families from other nobles.

Riven just nodded at his friend's complaint. Unlike Grain, Riven has a stronger family background. His father was a scholar from the capital and his mother came from a wealthy merchant family. The reason he chose to be a soldier was because he hated academic things so much. So he decided to utilize his physical abilities as a soldier.

"You know, I'm planning to move to town."

Grain began to tell Riven the story of his life living in the village. Although this friend repeatedly listened to the same story, but Riven is a person who always silently listened to the stories of others. It made Grain satisfied and always shared his life story.

Riven doesn't care about this story. He already knew the background of Grain's difficult family life in the village. But he did not want his friend to be embarrassed for not getting a reply.

"Why do you want to move?"

"Hahh .. Every day I think of both my parents and my brothers. Thinking they were living under the tyranny of that jerk, I really wanted to move them."

"But did you get the place?"

Grain shook his head. He was just a novice soldier, besides if he moved his entire family to the city, then their livelihood as farmers would be cut off. Grain is still unable to finance the burden of life for his entire family at this time.

"You better think about it better first. If I could be honest, they might die from being tortured by the Lordland, but they could also starve to death if they lived in the city" Riven said.

"Yeahh .. that's why I thought of serving the count lord, but I guess it will take too long for us to graduate as regular soldiers. That's why if possible, I want to immediately serve another noble, no matter if it's inferior. If I show my value, maybe he'll give me a decent wage or even get my family."

Grain gave a bitter smile. This was quite strange considering he hated the nobles in his village very much but asked for protection from the other nobles. It was common knowledge that the nobility in this country were people who did not accept egalitarianism in social life, especially if it was concerned with commoners. So it is not strange for nobles to give inhuman acts to their people. That was why, a noble like Count Harol who respected his servants and also gave concessions to his subjects was a very rare case.

"I don't blame you if you want to be a sycophant, but do you have any connections with top-level people? Anyway we can only get out of this place on Sundays."

Riven replied nonchalantly while still devouring his bread. Then he took his cup and drank the water inside. Then he suddenly remembered something.

"Ahh .. I remember. Isn't there a noble boy in our army?"

"really?"

"Yeaah .. If I'm not mistaken he's the son of a new noble. Well ... he's the son of a baronet." said Riven, narrowing his eyes at trying to remember something.

"really?! Waw isn't that very rare?!" shout Grain.

Reaching the noble class when it was just a commoner was clearly a dream. However there are some cases where the status of a commoner can rise to nobility despite the low level. Usually it is caused by his talent, achievements, or the ability of the person in getting lucky opportunities.

"Yaa ... The boy is in the neverland group."

It has become a hereditary tradition where each new child will be separated into several groups and will usually be named with a special theme. Incidentally this force the theme is 'land' so all group names have the word 'land'. There are seven groups in this force, each group consists of 30 people. These groups are redland, blueland, greenland, iceland, holyland, neverland, and grassland. These two people were in the greenland group so Grain was very happy because he knew the room for the neverland group was not far from their group room. Grain can't wait to try to build a friendship with the baronet. He opened his mouth to ask Riven the name of the boy. But the sound of trays placed on their desks made their focus distractible.

At first they saw a tray containing bread and a cup. Then slowly their gaze rose to the top looking at the face of the person who placed the tray on the table.

"May I sit down?"

Alex asked the two newbies who just quietly looked at him. But the two men did not immediately answer. Alex is confused, should if someone asks should not get a response. Wellh .. if you can normal conditions it is a natural thing. But it looks like Alex forgot something, which is adab. Before Alex asked, he had first placed his tray of food on an uninhabited table without permission. Then his indifferent expression in asking added to that displeasure. In addition, his appearance that seemed dandy, white skin, hands without calluses, and a face like carved by Praxiteles clearly made someone with the same gender feel annoyed with envy.

Note:

(Praxiteles: the name of an Ancient Greek sculptor of Hellenistic times).

After all, Sheol who was Alex's divine embodiment never did trivial things like values and norms. That was not to say he did not know, but Sheol as the noblest existence himself was not an entity capable of being bound by such mortal rules. Instead he is even able to bend social values and norms such as turning the palm of the hand. He often did so when he governed his territories of Underworld and Empty because Sheol was famous as an archdeus who often intervened in the realm he controlled but he rarely did that to the mortal world.

Alex is still not aware of the existence of the existing norms of society especially with his view when looking at mortal beings. Alex's insensitivity can be proven when he can't even see a significant difference between a breasted woman and a bunting woman. He even wondered why male sexual attraction would prefer the first thing over the second. Aren't the two of them both large lumps of meat? Although he had to admit that humans were the creations that most resembled them (archdeus), he never thought they were the same. If he makes a comparison with an example of this between two mortal beings, then archdeus is represented as a human being, while humans are represented as chimpanzees.

"What's wrong? Don't you guys allow it?"

Alex asked back. It made Grain and Riven who had looked at him intensely suddenly feel shivering on his back.

Crazy one! Is he gonna hit us?

What the fuck? he gave me goosebumps.

Honestly, Alex didn't have any intentions. If they don't allow Alex to sit down, then he'll just go and find somewhere else. But because his face and height are really intimidating even though he does not have big muscles, people who hear it will misunderstand and suspect that Alex is a tyrant.

"Of course .. please sit."

Fortunately, one of the two men invited him to sit down. Otherwise, Alex will be confused and embarrassed for not getting a response as if he became a babu who did not understand his existence. Alex sits happily, but as he makes the move to sit, Grain and Riven are unable to do anything but fall silent with widened eyes. They had never seen anyone sitting so dignified and exuded this kind of feeling of a ruler of this magnitude as if they were at the same table as a king or priest.

Well ... actually it was a normal thing when people first saw Alex. But that view will wither as they find out Alex's true identity is nothing more than trash.
