The sound of the glass clinking.
The smell of alcohol in the pub.
Among the various groups, there is a group that is quite excited. They consist of 6 people.
Arlenne forced everyone here to get drunk.
"Hahhh .. shit!! The Nightorb bastards!"
Arlenne muttered with her face flushed red. He could not even sit up straight.
"Hey, don't drink anymore" said Barnard.
"Shut Up Old Man. I'm not drunk yet."
Barnard could only sigh.
Now everyone in the Orion group has been at the lowest point of their careers.
Until now the reward they should have gotten from Nightorb for the services of clearing the false dungeon had still not been given.
The reason on the part of the company itself is that they are currently facing problems.
"Damn, I don't care if they go broke or not. We're just asking for payment!
Now it was Lilac's turn to complain.
He's a little drunk.
Thanks to the absence of payment, they now inevitably have to save on expenses. As a result, Lilac could not get out in the hustle and bustle of the night world to vent her need for a handsome man.
"Even now we can't get out" he lamented again.
But not only the problem of payment that has not been completed, now they have to face a tiring legal process.
Along with reporting on the discovery of the false dungeon, a lawsuit was filed against their client, Nightorb Corp. on a fairly serious charge. So people who were around the scene were called by the Security Authority for questioning.
After the appearance of summonses from the County Security Authority of Fertiphile, they are now prohibited from leaving the city for legal reasons. As a result they could not take the quest that was outside the city gate. Being compounded with quests within the city was very few and impressed only for the low plate. For example, quests to catch mice, find cats, and keep a shop.
It was impossible for a party with platinum with their leader as an orichalcum to take such a quest.
So obviously their income is now reduced.
Barnard had tried to keep his group away from all this trouble, but they still got their sap.
Now they also get another call that is directly from the Interim Governor at this time, who else if not the person they met in the dungeon.
They had heard the rumour regarding the count's eldest son and Barnard confirmed it after seeing how naive the noble's son had entered the dungeon with just two people. Clearly if his party had not done a raid on that very day, he believed the foolish noble had died inside the dungeon.
"So tomorrow we have to see the Governor?" ask Cilvy.
"Yes, we're going to meet Alex" Lilac said.
Unlike Barnard who was not too optimistic, Lilac was actually looking forward to this meeting. Arguably considering he will be reunited with Alex makes him able to eliminate a little discomfort.
"Uncle, don't worry too much. Alex might give you a gift. He's not a bad guy!"
Although Lilac had heard the birds' news about Alex, she did not trust him too much. Even if it's true, it doesn't matter which is important Alex's good-looking.
"Right, what are you worried about, Old Man?"
Meanwhile Vyn who was floating around Barnard was also no less enthusiastic.
He will return to see a man who has a very strong soul.
Imagining she could hold and hug the person silently then sniff the scent of her soul, Vyn could not help but be lustful.
"Oh my goodness ... Suppose I met that guy before you! I'd do anything."
Vyn said that honestly. When the equivalent partner relationship in this case is Barnard and Vyn intertwined in the power of a supernatural user, one of them cannot break the contract. It requires agreement with both sides.
Barnard could only remain silent while hearing the grievances of the two women who came from these two different races continuously nagging.
"Don't drink too much and don't go home too late."
Barnard decided to leave first. He brought his beloved wife, Alya who also seemed to be a little drunk.

The next day they went to the Governor's place as agreed.
Arlenne had to be treated by Atlya before leaving, because the effects of his intoxication were so strong that it gave him headaches and nausea when he woke up this morning.
This wasn't the first time the Orion party had met a count class noble. As a platinum-plated adventurer party, they often get quests from the nobles before so when they see this mansion, they are not too surprised.
After being greeted by the butler, the six people were taken to the meeting room.
But what was a little surprising was that when they entered, they saw three people sitting equally low.
Ideally in a room like this, when meeting a noble, there would be someone who had the highest standing that could be recognized by the position he was sitting in and so on. It identifies that the person is a lord in his territory.
But now there are three people who actually have a position that looks equal.
Then who are the two people beside the Governor? Are they the Count's children? thought Barnard.
In ethics, ideally they will greet the nobles first by addressing the titles of the nobles. But trouble arose if they did not know which noble they were calling. Errors in addressing the title would greatly affect the lives of commoners. Although as adventurers, they were not too afraid but still it was better to avoid as much as possible the clash with the nobles.
But fortunately, instead of making them greet the masters that were here, the butler became the one to speak.
"My Lord Governor, Young Master Morhust and Young Miss Otilia, I humbly uphold the majesty of the Ladies and Gentlemen. Blessed is the majesty that is in this room. As the words of My Most High Lord, I present to My Lords and My Lady the presence of the adventurers whom you have commanded the servant to bring."
"My Lords."
"My Lords."
The adventurers bowed to the three great nobles who were here. They did not kneel so as to show that they were adventurers who were not bound to the necessity of being subject to the authority of nobility.
A male noble who sat in the middle and had the largest body size among the other nobles nodded his head.
Surely the Orion party knew who this was, he was the Governor, the eldest son of Fetiphile by the nickname Alex.
Lilac who had met Alex several times became quite amazed when she met Alex this time.
This was the first time for Lilac to see the authority Alex had, she had never felt this much dominance before.
"The Adventurers, We have been waiting for your arrival. To save time, We; Your Lords call upon those of you who have seen Our Majesty whom We then secure to you and you are responsible to Us for participating in the Fief War that takes place between the territories of Otilia and Canadia."
This isn't the first time Alex has used royal 'we'. As an archdeus, Alex will always speak using pluralis majestatis as a replacement for the first-person pronoun (me/me). However due to being too used to it, when he was asked to re-use the royal 'we' with his position as a noble speaking to the commoners, he was asked to return to using the royal 'we' with his position as a noble, he may subconsciously cause a further gap between superior and inferior.
Even Regis and Clotildy who were next to him felt their hair goosebumps. For both of them, even they had trouble using royal 'we' because it had to require momentum and proper sentence arrangement. If they are wrong in the selection of words and sentences, the use of majestic plural will be impressed more.
Of course, the effects of using such 'palace language' could be felt by adventurers. But as free people, they are still brave enough to say something.
"My Lord, I apologized in advance but based on guild rules, adventurers are prohibited from participating in wars between nations, between human kingdoms, or other feudal-backed wars" Barnard said.
"We know and therefore We declare to you individually without involving your guild for you to face Our Majesty and then to follow Our word so that you may protect the territory which We call him, and which We call him, the earth on which they ascend and the sky on which they hold the land of Othilia and its conquered territories."
In brief, though, Alex says that this is an independent quest that is not bound by guild rules so of course the guild will not be responsible because this quest is intertwined with a direct agreement between the client and the adventurer without involving the third party is the guild.
Barnard was actually not very fond of meddling in wars between nobles because it meant they would be used as tools of hegemony of the nobles. So he tried to subtly reject it for various reasons.
"But my lord, I and my group have never followed the fief war and cannot leave this city."
Barnard used the travel ban as a pretty strong excuse.
"We also know this, for We have given you to depart as soon as possible from Our city, for We have granted it to you."
Oh shit, why can I forget, these people can tamper with the law as they please, thought Barnard.
It's gonna be hard for Barnard to get out of this. The main reason was that when nobles, let alone these were the three nobles calling for adventurers to offer a mission, it was actually not an offer but an order. So it would be impossible to refuse the order without taking up arms.
So in the end he glanced at all the members of his party where they also understood the matter. Then Barnard bowed before Alex and two other nobles.
