ARCHDEUS

ARCHDEUS
NEW HOPE(4)

Arcentioch, the capital of the Artchania Kingdom, in addition to being the seat of government, this city is also one of the pieces of paradise for adventurers.

In this beloved city, stands a sturdy building that holds various opportunities for adventurers. A proposition for adventurers to stay.

The building that became the administrative center of the adventurer guild in the country was called Blue Shapire. This palace-like building is evidence of the strength and independence of the adventurer guild against the kingdom.

A beautiful receptionist in her beautiful dress and natural-looking makeup continued to smile. He was a very professional receptionist. Although every entity that comes to him is full of diversity of intrigue and character, he still smiles at it all.

A smile is an absolute weapon that a receptionist must master. With his business smile that became the veil of his character, he will still be able to live in the world of receptionists are so cruel.

All the problems in this world he faced. Starting from the threat of murder, robbery, theft, and harassment is the daily food of a receptionist. He only hoped that, with such a huge burden of life, he could sink his face into someone's arms. Someone he can trust, who he loves, and who he is disinclined with. This receptionist has long struggled alone. He has long lived as a solo player in this cruel and mortal world (jomblo). It's time to rest and trust someone to protect her.

Door opens. The entrance of the blue shapire is made of glass. From the door alone it is very visible how classy this building is.

From the door came a few footsteps. The receptionists are ready with their ultimate weapons. They are ready to face the new man. Whether he was an adventurer, a client, a noble, or even a criminal they had anticipated with a smile and rhetorical preparations for a war of words.

A man just came in. Precisely an adventurer dressed in black with a robe covered his body. Most of the man's face was covered with cloth except for his eyes.

The man walked to the notice board, where the adventurers were looking for the quests they wanted.

Unfortunately after a long search, he did not find the quest he wanted.

The man then walked over to where the receptionists were and inquired about the mission that was relevant to him.

"Sorry Mr. Adventurer but we didn't have the mission you wanted for a while" a receptionist said.

The receptionist spoke to the adventurer with an awkward smile after searching for the documents that showed the list of available quests.

The adventurer then sighed sadly.

"If you don't mind, we'll put your name on the waiting list. You can get the exclusive quest retrieval priority you want with just a few coins."

The receptionist explained a new service of quests. As an employee, of course, the receptionist has been trained to be a reliable marketing. So he explained all the advantages of the service called the 'waiting list.

"So I only need to pay 18 gold coins to get priority in an exclusive quest?" ask the adventurer.

"That's right, sir," replied the receptionist.

"How long do I have to wait" he asked.

"it depends on the exclusive quest listed but it usually doesn't take more than a week for the quest you want. In addition, if you are interested you can buy two 'waiting list' packages with the benefit you get a 10% discount and free get priority on another 'waiting list."

The receptionist offers a pretty tempting event. One waiting list only applies to one quest and means that if the adventurer registers his name on two waiting lists it means that he registers himself in two different quests and because there are events then automatically he also will be listed on the waiting list of other quests.

But unfortunately the adventurer was not interested so he only bought one waiting list.

"Well please give your adventurer identity," said the Receptionist.

The adventurer gave his adventurer plate to the receptionist for data.

"Well Mr. Fritz thank you for signing up" the receptionist said, giving Fritz his license plate back.

But who would have thought, from the back, Fritz was summoned by someone.

Fritz turned his gaze to that person. He was quite surprised as he did not expect to meet his acquaintance. So he greeted back.

"Dennis?"

***

Ryan did not expect to meet Feodora at the pontheum. He excitedly tried to chat with that high priestess.

For Ryana, Feodora is a special person. She is a woman who has long supported her both through mental and material support.

Feodora was like a second mother to him.

The two chatted together while walking around the pontheum. Because this pontheum has a very large garden, they will not feel bored.

Feodora asked about his condition while in the pontheum.

"You don't have to worry about the Grand Master, the people here are very kind. I also learned a lot from the pastors here" Ryana replied cheerfully.

"It's good to hear it."

"Hmm .. It seems like this place hasn't changed much. You know, in this park there was a griffin that guarded the park and pontheum," continued Feodora.

"Huh? Really?"

Ryan was surprised because he had never heard of it. Whether it's from books or from the talk of people, shouldn't they record things that are as unique as that.

"Well, I don't know why the Pontheum doesn't publish that often but there used to be a herd of griffins being cared for by the pontheum. Unfortunately from what I heard last time all the pontheum was sent to the Holy Saintica Iberal Commonwealth States. It is not clear what the goals are but maybe they are used as combat mounts" Feodora explained.

Griffin was a high-class magic beast. The physical form is a lion-bodied creature but winged and eagle-headed. Like a lion, this creature became the king of beasts and as an eagle, he became king in the air. Griffin was a magic beast that could generally be tamed. So that in some empire or other major countries, there is a military division filled by griffin riders. The existence of a griffin rider will greatly affect air supremacy. Unfortunately in the Kingdom of Artchania, none of the military units used griffins as their war animals.

Feodora's warm expression slowly changed, she then paused for a moment.

Ryana who saw Feodora's mood that suddenly changed then stopped.

"What's the Grand Master?" ask Ryana.

Feodora steadied Ryana with a deep look as if her eyes were showing a sense of reluctance and sadness that the old woman was trying to hide.

"Ryana, listen carefully. We just got word from the Parthenon. They asked you to come there."

"Grand Master, what do you mean by this regarding my condition?" ryan asked doubtfully.

Instead of replying, Feodora held onto Ryana's shoulder then seriously nodded to the woman.

"Trust me, you will be healed" Feodora said.

Ryana could not help her emotions when she heard Feodora's words. As if all the burdens of his life had been lifted, he could finally vapourize all of his malaise here.

The happy cry of the woman had wetted her cheeks. He hugged a woman, knowing it was like a little girl hugging her mother.

He did not expect to be told news like this. For him this was a glad tidings telling him that there was new hope for him.
