Hope will never disappear, is a statement that is often heard and often thrown. For some, it is nothing more than sheer motivation but for others it is one of the holdings of their lives.

Days after Joan's arrival, a letter was sent to the Shining Golden Pavilion.

The letter was handed to Clotildy.

When Clotildy saw the symbol of Fertiphile's nobility become an envelope seal, her hand could not help but tremble.

Joan who was beside him slowly calmed him down.

Clotildy took her breath. If this were him then, he wouldn't be this serious for just a letter, but now it was as if this letter was his only rope of hope and savior.

He opened the letter. Reading word for word.

"!!"

He did not read wrong.

"We'll be meeting with the Governor soon."

Clotildy just let out a quiet voice. But because this room had been quiet for so long as everyone was focused on waiting for what the contents of the letter were, so that the slightest sound could be heard by everyone.

At the end they made a calm face as if the burden that had long been on both of their shoulders was lifted.

Joan also did not forget to appease Clotildy.

Currently Clotildy's emotions are in a less stable condition. Joan who was his subordinate and childhood friend could not bear to see it become like this.

Joan felt very dissatisfied with how the Fertiphile side treated her lady like this.

If indeed they have always wanted to refuse help, just give a rejection letter do not let the other party have to wait until it makes his health deteriorate like this.

But despite all the complaints in her heart, Joan did not show it on her face.

The meeting submitted by the county was 8 days later.

During the waiting days, Clotildy looked much fitter.

His appetite began to be at a normal level.

Although his body was still slightly thinner than usual, but he was not as bad as the conditions when he had to wait for a response from the county government.

On the 8th day in the morning, several luxurious horse carriages had been neatly parked in front of the inn.

Clotildy who was followed by Joan and the other subordinates came out in formal attire.

Although Clotildy was an eques, her position as a noble made her prefer to wear noble dresses rather than military clothes. While underneath it is quite the opposite they prefer to wear armor rather than dresses even though most of them are nobles anyway.

The train carried them through the city from the main road to the end of the courtyard of the mansion.

The Mansion belonging to the Count of Fertiphile did not look as luxurious as the mansion belonging to the Count of Morhust and was even slightly simpler than the mansion belonging to the Countess of Otilia. Maybe because the Fertiphile mansion is more impressed to be made for functional purposes so that it seems not too luxurious for residential classes that are inhabited by upper-level nobles. However, that clearly did not detract from the impression of the majesty of the count. Even the simple design of the mansion makes the count has its own image.

When they got off the train, there was not much to see. Throughout the eyes, only the garden was filled with trees and flowers. There was nothing as unique as Joan had ever seen in the Morhust mansion.

An old servant greeted them.

"Young Miss Otilia and the gentlemen and gentlemen all, my name is Alen holding the position as the butler of the Fertiphile House saying welcome to our mansion."

After saying his greeting, the old servant who became the butler asked them to leave the weapons they were carrying.

This is a normal procedure.

"Young Miss Otilia and the honored Guests. Please follow me to see Mr. Governor. Perhaps the distinguished guests had known of it, currently the position of government was temporarily being held by the Fertiphile's Eldest Young Master as the Interim Governor. Because the Lord Fertiphile took part in the war to defend our kingdom."

"Thank you for the information. I pray to the Gods for the safety of Lord Fertiphile."

Even though Clotildy and all her subordinates already knew, but they still gave a greeting of appreciation to the butler to appreciate it.

They eventually entered the meeting room.

Inside, they saw a man sitting like a leader. On his left and right stood a pair of knights as guards.

But a little surprising, some people who were seen as high officials of the county were also present inside this room.

After they entered, they knelt down except for Clotildy who was in front of her group only giving the noble greetings to the Fertiphile Eldest Young Master.

"My Lord, I am Clotildy D'Magnarie Otilia, Eldest Princess and representative of the County of Otilia express my deep gratitude for allowing me to meet and see your Majesty The Most Highness," otilia.

"My Lady, I'm Alexander Ivanov Fertiphile, the Eldest Son and Interim Governor of the County of Fertiphile are greatly honored by the presence of Your Majesty in my beloved county."

Both of them gave very good and formal greetings. They respected each other as fellow children of the great nobility.

"My Lady, first I apologize for you having long waited for our wisdom to be able to meet your majesty. As Interim Governor, I feel ashamed after hearing your majesty has long awaited our wisdom."

"My Lord, if time can be sacrificed to be able to meet your Majesty, I have no objection at all, My Lord. I'm so glad my Master wants to meet me at this time."

Alex just gave a nod showing it was enough to apologize to each other. In the end Alex asks Clotildy why she came here.

"My Lady and the honorable knights have come all the way here. With my Miss's majesty's permission, I would like to ask about my Miss's intention to come to my beloved county and what can I and my count give for my Miss's majesty?"

Just as Joan recounted her county's final condition, Clotildy did the same.

"So so. All right, I get it. So what can my county and I give to your Majesty, My Lady ?"

"We wish to make a plea to my Lord; they say that My Lord has formidable warriors. If you don't mind, we plead with your Lord to send troops to help together against the invasion of our territory by the March of Canadia."

Unlike Regis who seemed to think before answering, Alex quickly replied to Clotildy's request.

"My Lady, I am very concerned about the current state of your county. But unfortunately my Lord Count has been marching on the orders of His Majesty Our Most Beloved King. I'm afraid, I can't give you the number of warriors that your Majesty needs."

Previously, Alex had discussed with a county superior the number of soldiers currently in the county. The numbers were very few and were likely only enough to guard the county.

Clotildy was silent when she heard that answer. He doesn't know what to say. He actually predicted that. Yet somehow what irrational hope remained in his heart as if he was expecting a miracle to appear at this moment.

"My Lord's. I see, Lord Fertiphile is carrying out the noble task assigned from His Majesty Our Beloved King. I wish Lord Fertiphile a safe return."

Clotildy wants to end this meeting. He now had to accept the fact that no one could help his county.

"My Lady, I want to ask you something."

"Yes My Lord. You want to ask what, my lord?"

"Fief War that has taken place in the County of Otilia began in early spring and has now entered the end of spring. I would like to ask, My Lady, why have I still not received an invitation from Our Lord-Conded King His Majesty to attend the Parliamentary meeting? Perhaps this is, a little harsh, but My Lady, has your county already sent the letter of request for the opening of the parliament meeting to His Majesty Our Great King?"

Clotildy. That's right, it should have been a long day's parliamentary meeting if he had timed his departure to Fertiphile. Why has the parliament not yet convened?

This is important, the role of the parliamentary session is very influential on the fief war. If in parliament, Otilia managed to win, then this could give significant results to the fief war.

Clotildy could not answer. If he said he did not know why the trial had not been opened, it would be tantamount to showing his incompetence and lack of capacity as Otilia's representative. While if he says that the trial has not been opened because the king has not yet authorized him, it is the same to blame the king and he can be exposed to lese majeste.
