Cave wants to recognize a concept that is quite fundamental in the story of The Archdeus is the existence of Magic (Magic) and Miracle (Magic). Well if you have read the story of The Supreme One, both divine power and other supernatural power are both considered as magic (Magic) so that it becomes a single concept.
But in The Archdeus, there will be a significant difference between apostolic/profetic and other supernatural forces.
What is Miracle (Miracle)?
Simply miracle is the power of the divine that exerts an impact beyond logic. Miracle resolutely opposes scientific rationality and magic logic because it is the intervention of existences that have held the title of god, demon god, or equivalent immortal. Miracle characteristics can not be studied by mortal beings.Miracle divided into two, namely deusvoulic and apostolic/prophetic.
Deusvoulic: is a type of miracle whose divine power is directly used by the god himself without messengers or intermediaries. Examples are the creation of the world by the archdeus, the creation of spirits, the writing of destiny, and the setting of time.
Apostolic/Prophetic is a divine miracle given to the apostle (apostle) and prophet (prophet). So both apostolate (apostolic) and prophetic (profetic) are miracles that no other being can learn.
Q: But why does Pontifex Maximus have the title Voice of Apostolic and Prophetic? Did it come from Miracle as well?
A: The answer is yes. The Voice of Apostolic and Prophetic title of a Pontifex Maximus is simply a hyperbole because simply put, the power of the Pontifex maximus comes not from miracles but from magic.
What is Magic (Magic)?
Magic is a conceptual system that living things are capable of creating supernatural things. The easiest thing to distinguish between magic and miracles is:
1. Magic can be learned while miracles are not.
2. Magic requires a source of energy called mana\, while the miracle source of energy comes from the divine itself.
The Babylonial School views that magic is a conceptual form that binds and is rooted in every being and nature. The Babylonian foundation thus focused on rational forms of control. So that is why this school views that witches should have a high IQ.
The Oriental School considers that magic is a form of harmony between the soul and body that cannot be separated. So that on its foundation, the oriental school strongly emphasizes the training of martial movements and meditation known as cultivation. So that's why this oriental school views that a cultivator's abilities are influenced by the breadth of dantian* they have.
*dantian: sea of qi (mana) created from cultivation training.
Well, that was the flow. Now there are more types of magic. There is a difference between madhhab and magic. Types of magic consist of: arcane, spiritual, divine, and alternative.
Arcane: a type of magic that focuses on the supernatural effects it exerts and derives on internal control, for example elemental magic, illusion magic, and pragmatic magic.
Spiritual: A type of magic that focuses on relationships with supernatural beings either on equal (patner) or unequal (master-servant) relationships. Examples: summoning magic (summon), familiar magic, slave magic, and seal magic.
Divine: A type of magic focused on the concept of belief. Almost similar to a miracle but the difference is that divine magic can be learned and it also takes mana driving energy from the user so that this magic can be activated. Divine magic regardless of truth or evil for example holy magic and curse magic.
Alternative: This type of magic is beyond the three major types of magic so it usually has different aspects to share. Examples: divination magic, alchemy magic, automata magic, and crafting magic.
