The Second Life's

The Second Life's
XCIV - Isla Cemetery

Despite the hesitation, my three ladies finally wanted to believe my words. Somewhat crazy indeed, how could anyone else accept my good manners while my husband's mistress was carrying a child from my husband himself? But, if it knew about my background as well as my true purpose, people would not dare to comment anymore.

People may call me a stupid woman who let her husband cheat, I don't care about that and justify the statement that I let my husband have an affair. But that doesn't mean I'm really stupid.

There are still a lot of things out there that are more important than keeping an asshole husband like Idris. If in front of me were given two options like letting Idris along with Rose Hindley or pulling Idris into my arms, I would prefer the former. Isn't that obvious?

“I will go into my work space to calm down. Don't let anyone in unless I call him myself. Understand?”

All three of my ladies nodded and withdrew from my study. Not long after, Ava appeared from outside the window. She wears a black dress with her signature knee-length model. His head was adorned by a beret hat of matching color. It was in stark contrast to her silvery-white hair that was shiny.

Unlike the time of Father's death, Ava now does not wear any makeup.

“Why are you still dressed like that?” ask Ava to me.

“I just arrived from the Imperial Palace,” I replied calmly. “Please wait a minute, I will change my dress first.”

“No need. Where's the shirt you want to wear?” Ava approached me.

I hurried to get my dress and shoes out in the big drawer on my desk. Ava flicked her finger, and the dress and shoes I put on the table were magically worn by me. On my desk I changed into the dress I was wearing.

“Wah, you are indeed very talented,” my praise is happy.

“This problem is as easy as peeling, know!” chirps Ava. “By the way, from yesterday I feel your aura is more different than usual.”

I smile. “Is that? Do you realize something?”

“You unsealed Eva's magic, didn't you?” shoot Ava directly. He is very talented about magic and mana.

“True. Where my mother has moved to my body now,” I said. “I read a spell written on a paper inside this pendant.” I touched the pendant that was coiled around my neck while smiling again.

“Not only where your mother, but where-you also have returned,” error Ava. “But, since your memory was taken away by your Mother and not returned until her last breath, you cannot regain your memory that she took.”

“Tak what. I've had a little memory of my mother stored in magic in the locket.”

“Ya. Let's talk about this later. There are things we have to do first, Isla is waiting for us,” said Ava.

I nodded in agreement. Right, Isla is waiting for us to let go. Finally, Ava and I went to Avnevous through the portal in the secret room of my work.

We're out in a portal near Ava's workspace. I don't think I've been here long. The calm, but sinister atmosphere in the Magic Union Tower never faded. Sometimes I miss this kind of atmosphere.

Ava walked in front of me. Boots with his two-centimeter right made a resounding sound in the hallway of the tower. I followed behind him in silence. Slightly goosebumps when you feel there is a breeze that pierces to the bone.

There are not many tombs in this cemetery. From the tombstones I saw at a glance, almost all of them were Bloodhart family, Hamada—which felt foreign to my mind, and there was even the Worcester family as well.

Not far from the gate we had passed, stood Isaac, together with Lucas. They wear black shirts and matching trousers. In front of them was a wooden chest painted white. Not yet put in the hole that has been dug. Maybe they are waiting for our presence.

“Sorry, we are a little late,” Ava said. For the first time I heard the word “maaf” from Ava's mouth.

Isaac shook his head weakly. “What's wrong, Mistress.”

Lucas only smiled when our gazes met. No words were spoken by him. I know this is not the right time to talk about anything else.

Ava opens Isla's chest with magic. Then I could see Isla's face more clearly. His violet-colored hair had been neatly combed. His face looked brighter, he looked happy.

A plain white dress to the knees made the impression of a graceful girl. I'm pretty sure that dress was Ava's choice. She really likes dresses like that.

“Isla Constance Worcester is a very devoted child to her parents as well as to me whom she already considers her own Grandmother. He is the only obedient child I have raised in this tower,” Ava said.

Is there another child?

Ava glanced at me for a moment because she heard my thoughts just now. He then refocused on Isla. “May Isla always be blessed by the Goddess of Virtue up there. May Isla find happiness in her next life. May those who are left behind, not sad for a long time. Nothing is eternal in this world, we must be prepared with all the risks that exist.”

Isaac just looked down.

Ava then closed Isla's coffin and put it in the grave. The ground was covered by itself due to Ava's magic, and Isla's tomb was placed on a gravestone by Ava.

Turns out, Ava's side job was a grave attendant.

“Let's go back, we have to talk,” Ava said.

“Can I follow you later?” ask Isaac.

“As far as you are. But, don't be long,” says Ava, a bit outrageous.

“Thank you, Mistress.”

After that, Ava, and Lucas returned to the Magic Union Tower, leaving Isaac still lingering with Isla.

Maybe I'll stop by Isla's grave for a bit before I go home. I also want to spend time with Isla. We knew him not long ago, and when I got along with him, I accepted the fact that he would never come back in the same state.

It's something that's got me hit. I tried to prevent two or three people from losing their lives, but there were times when I lost a loved one even though I tried. The cruel irony.
