The Second Life's

The Second Life's
XXII - Hunting Day (I)

The group of four children returned to the exhibition area as they said. Feline, Derrick, and Gracia were really focused on paying attention to the works produced by each exhibitor.

For a group of kids who don't really understand art, for them as long as the piece is pretty beautiful and never out of their hands all this time, they will greatly admire every result displayed inside the dividing line.

Felice stood with the group, but her focus was different from the other three children even though her eyes continued to look forward and gave off the illusion as if the little girl was really taking all the proceedings seriously.

He had a vague guess about the conversation his parents would have with Grandpa Andy after their departure. Andy's grandfather was an experienced artist with keen eyes, he must have seen something from his paintings.

So he could roughly draw a vague conclusion about how far Grandpa Andy would go about talking about him to Julia and Marvin. There had been half a year of him coming to this world and every bit of character change he made must have left a secret burden in his parents' hearts.

Feline is still a child, so the little girl certainly accepts her brother's changes easily without strange thoughts as long as the sister is still just as fond of her, but this will be different for Julia and Marvin.

Felice is an adult disguised as a child. Disguising and acting were one of his daily meals in his past life, but when he moved into his small body in this world, some of the things that had become a habit were now a bit difficult to live with. Easy examples such as disguise.

Somehow every time his little head mapped out all his behavior plans to the future, there would be a sense of boredom that would endlessly interfere with the planning process. This fact frustrated Felice for some time, but after she calmed down this little girl again analyzed the cause of the disorder that happened to her.

Eventually he came to the conclusion that led to his physical body being this child. Felice's soul travels to the past due to an accident that happened to her in her future world. Sometimes Felice always thinks why his soul can stick to his past? If he now lives in this body, then what happened to the real Felice of this world?

Ever since Felice first moved into this world, she had vaguely been scraping through some information about everything that had happened in that span of time. From the conversation with her sister, the adult Felice could not find the cause of the awkwardness about what happened to little Felice.

He did not know if little Felice's soul was still in this container and was hiding inside tightly or maybe the little boy's soul had completely disappeared from this world.

His guesses still had a faint direction, but with the changes occurring in his mindset, there was a chance this was all caused by the little Felice consciousness still remaining in this body.

It was undeniable, Felice was a bit uneasy with the changes that had happened to her. He realized that there were some things that should be a skill that stuck permanently on him, now it became something that his small body could not accept.

Wanting how else because he always leaked some things in front of his parents, Felice finally decided to change the plan. No more ideas for pretending to be little Felice. He decided to show some of his skills and left a reasonable trail behind that could explain the change, such as being suddenly interested in his mother's psychology book and starting to study psychology.

Julia will not be surprised by her astounding learning speed because the woman has a recap of her child's IQ data. At most he would only wonder why his son was suddenly interested in this science, but for a child with an abnormal IQ their actions are indeed difficult to measure with the child's nature meter in general.

Felice must admit, he was rather impulsive. His desire to test something after being startled by a certain thing made him take a rather risky course of action.

Julia, Marvin, and Grandpa Andy are now definitely discussing her abnormal psychology for the size of the kids. After all, which child was able to bring out a painting that carried negative emotions as high as a mountain for no reason?

Maybe after this, Julia and Marvin will take her to a paediatrician or something. You see, they must have thought there was something wrong with his mentality and were afraid that this seed of mental illness would backfire in the future.

Felice sighed softly. He wanted to raise his hand and rub his temple as one of the signs of a habit he had always abandoned when he was in a lot of thought, but that desire was immediately held back by him. He did not want Feline to be suspicious of his actions and began to throw a series of machine-like questions.

There's no turning back. She has to convince Julia and Marvin that she's not actually as crazy as they imagined. Perhaps he should look for a rather detrimental reason such as revealing the accumulated stress of fear about his genius or perhaps he should add a series of absurd reasonsmake.

To the range of people who do not believe in superstitions, she does not know how Julia and Marvin react after she implies that she often feels annoyed with strange things. It could be that his parents assume he just threw a series of nonsense because of his mental problems or it could be that they actually believe.

Huh...

Ella's Office.

Vendry, who had finished his work, left the exhibition. He was somewhat troubled by how many people gathered before his eyes, especially after seeing Felice's painting which only added to his headache.

He had to admit, he really did not expect a painting with such a heavy emotion to be produced by a mere little girl. What's even more annoying is that a series of negative emotions are actually able to influence it to make it feel sick.

Due to his discomfort, he finally decided to finish his work as quickly as possible and once it was done, the young man immediately left the place to clear his troubled mind.

In the middle of the road, she was pulled by Ella who had somehow appeared from nowhere so that she finally now ended up on the young principal's office sofa with her eyes closed and her usual upright posture.

"Drink a little water."

Vendry opened his eyes and saw a glass of water thrust forward. While taking the offer, he uttered a soft faint thank you.

"Is it better?" ella asked as she took back the water glass from Vendry's hand and placed it on the table.

Vendry closed his eyes again and did not answer. The wrinkle that formed on her forehead had already quite answered Ella's question.

"Maybe you have to take a nap while you wait for the medicine to work."

Vendry nodded slowly and not long after, his consciousness completely faded as Ella said and the young man fell asleep in a still disciplined condition.

Ella shook her head slowly and sighed. He moved in front of Vendry and lifted the young man into his arms in a bridal embrace before moving into the private room available in his office.

For the size of Ella who always looks soft on the face, it is rather difficult to imagine how the young girl is able to lift the weight of a man so easily and even looks very relaxed as if lifting empty air.

After placing Vendry gently on the mattress, the blanket was raised to the chest of the young man and the AC was turned on with a comfortable temperature before the door was closed in a slow motion.
