The Second Life's

The Second Life's
XXVII - Become Strong

Not long after Felice finished her glass of milk, her beloved sister who always appeared cheerful like the sun, finally came down with her school bag.

Feline put down her bag as usual and greeted her family one by one with a cheerful tone that never faded.

"For Pa!" feline exclaimed as she kissed one side of her father's face, after she placed her bag next to Felice's bag on the sofa.

The cheerful little girl was rewarded with a light caress at the top of her head.

"For Feline" Marvin said as the man laid down his work for a moment and sent his focus to his beloved youngest daughter.

Not long after Feline's loud voice drew people's hearts out, Julia came out of the kitchen. The woman placed another cup of milk on the Feline table before hugging her little daughter who ran like a tornado towards her.

"For Ma!" feline exclaimed as she flew into the mother's warm embrace.

"Morning, Honey."

When Feline let go of her mother's embrace, she received a soft jolt on her smooth forehead. The little girl covered her forehead and looked smilingly at her mother who gave her the jolt.

"And Mama told me not to run. Later if you slip, how? Truly a brat," said the mother while making a face full of reprimands that were half-serious and half-joking.

Felice who was the spectator of the affectionate scene was just resting her chin on one hand and looking at the mother and child couple in a mood that enjoyed the beautiful scenery.

Without forgetting her brother, Feline turned around and jumped to Felice's side and hugged her spoiled, "Morning Sister."

"Again, Feline."

The gentle swipe that Feline had expected, piled on top of her head with her favorite caress.

As usual, the family of four passed through a harmonious breakfast that they routinely do. As they leave for school, Felice and Feline say goodbye to their mother before following their father into the car.

Felice raised her eyebrows when she saw an additional small bag in the car. Her sister on the other hand looked curiously at the extra small bag that appeared inside the car for the first time and put forth her curiosity, "Pa, what is it?"

Marvin, who had started the engine of the car, took a quick glance at the object his youngest daughter had pointed to. The man put on his seat belt and replied, "The food that Mama made."

Feline blinked her eyes at the father's answer and a light of understanding appeared in both of her round eyes, "Oh~"

Felice raised a faint smile at her little sister's mischievous actions. Marvin didn't even look at his youngest daughter and drove straight to the car. From the rearview mirror attached to the car, Felice could see a red hue slowly rising in her father's ear.

Tsk.. these two adults...

Really funny.

......................

The car drove at a steady pace before stopping in front of the beautiful school gate.

Felice and Feline thanked and said goodbye to their father before getting out of the car. Marvin waited until his daughters entered the school gate and waved their hands at him before driving to his office.

Today the annual school event is still going on, but compared to the first crowd they found in the previous day, the atmosphere today could be said to be not too lively.

Felice and Feline walk into their class and are greeted by Gracia and Derrick waving their hands to the two little girls standing at the entrance of the class.

The two little girls approach their friends and are thrust out with a paper from Derrick's hand.

Felice put down her bag and took the paper. It turned out to be a registration paper to enter an art competition. The little girl raised her gaze from the contents of the paper to the fat boy's face with a questioning look.

"So morning a teacher came in and asked about Felice. Since you haven't arrived at school, the teacher's mother left this paper for Felice. Said Felice got an invitation letter for a painting competition outside of school, here's her registration paper. If for the invitation letter, later you can take it from Mr. Vendry," explained the fat boy slowly.

"Which teacher's mother?" asked Felice while frowning. New competition again. Though he was not interested in something like this, not only troublesome but also not too interesting for him.

Derrick automatically looked at Garcia when asked that question.

"It should be the teacher who teaches the senior class, because we don't know him either" Gracia said.

Felice put the paper on her desk and sat on the bench leisurely. He pulled out a headset and connected the end of the cable with his phone before replying, "I'm not interested in participating in any other competition. Later I will directly express my intentions to Mr. Vendry."

Feline was wide-eyed when she heard her brother's answer. He immediately sat down beside the elder brother and furrowed his little brows with an unhappy expression, "Why Brother? Isn't that a good thing if you become known? That meant that elder sister's skill was recognized higher in the teacher's eyes."

"But Feline, if I still accept it this time there will be more invitations coming. I really don't want to delve into the art world and walk my feet down that path in the future. Painting for me is not a goal, it is just a temporary hobby in spare time, nothing more" Felice replied as she rubbed her sister's cheeks pouting cutely.

Felice wasn't lying. He was not an art maniac as various artists in the art world had pointed out. From the very beginning the reason he learned painting skills was for a complicated purpose. He equipped himself with various skills only to give himself one additional ability that was able to help him while on a task in the past.

For him, painting is just a tool to make his work easier. Beyond that, painting is also a method to vent his negative emotions after completing work that makes him tired. He did not love and adore the so-called artwork because it was just a type of secondary need for him.

"But Brother, obviously your painting skills are very good. You have a high talent in the field of painting, it would be a pity if you let the talent mold itself in the corner, Brother. In addition, being a painter is also quite good," continued Feline.

Felice simply smiled and shook her head. The little girl turned her head and faced her two little friends, "Thank you for the information, but unfortunately I'm not interested. I'll explain myself the reason for my refusal to our homeroom teacher, so you don't have to worry about getting into trouble."

Gracia, "You really don't want to participate in this competition? The influence of this competition is not too small, it is about fighting for the provincial cup. Although not at the national level, but these competitors are not all easy. Maybe you'll find a challenge in this competition."

Felice sighed softly and again said, "Yes and I still refuse."

"Truly no?" gracia asked in a somewhat seductive tone like she was pulling a cat with a bowl of milk and a delicious fish.

"No."

Gracia looked at Felice's two serious-looking eyes and nodded.

"Alright then, but maybe you can think about it later. It's kind of a pity that you let your talent lie buried deep in the mud."

Felice nodded and replied, "Well, thanks for the praise and advice."
