The Second Life's
LXXX - Interrogation Belka (II)

Belka immediately shut up and nodded. My command magic has affected Belka. Ava stopped her activity, then stood beside Belka. His hands were full of blood.

“Who told you?” ask me for the third time to Belka.

“Mrs Marchioness Franklin,” Reply Belka.

Oh, I was a little surprised by that answer. It turned out that Hendery's mother had not given up on bothering me at all despite being given a punishment that I thought was a bit stressful.

“Why did you respond to his request? Do you need money?” ask again.

“The family of Mrs Marchioness has helped my father a lot. I just want to return the favor. After all, the Queen does not deserve to be the Mother of Vanhoiren,” Belka said.

“Not worth?”

“Yes. Madam once said that the Queen only wanted the Empire's wealth and took advantage of the Emperor's love.”

I laughed at Belka's words. Oh my, this is so entertaining. Without even becoming Queen, I can live happily with my family's wealth. Why would I bother to marry Idris just to take his fortune? Sillier.

Such excuses are just excuses for desperate people. I'm not a part of people like that. And apparently, Marchioness Franklin would never want to think of me as Queen XX. In his eyes, I was nothing more than a son of a Viscount who was too high-minded. I don't deserve.

“So, therefore ..., are you willing to sacrifice your own life? Aren't you thinking about your parents' future and feelings?”

Belka. “Yes. I don't think about my future. I just want my dad to be happy and not think about me anymore. I have a serious and untreatable disease. My life is not long.”

“I'm quite concerned about the problems you're facing. But, I still will not justify the actions you have taken against me,” I told Belka. “Is there a last message you want to convey?”

“May my father be happy with his new wife.” Belka smile. But that doesn't make my heart melt. If I don't use command magic for him, he will definitely take an expletive for me.

When I pulled my magic effect from Belka, she glared at me. I gave Ava the code, and Ava knocked Belka unconscious. Mercy. Doing good is not wrong. But, if our kindness is used by the wrong person, we should be the opposite. I don't want to fall into the same hole for trusting someone too much.

I could hear Belka's screams spying on me with an unheard-of swearing as Ava beat her up. Our actions are just a few of the many things we can do. Let Belka accept a light act for Ava. At least, that way my humanity is still not lost.

“It looks like he has fainted,” Ava said. “Do you want me to water him with water so he wakes up again?”

“No need, his face is out of shape because you hit it many times. Tonight, just get here,” I said calmly.

“Then, what do you want to do to him and also Marchioness Franklin?” ask Ava.

“Which surely they should be punished. Since the Franklin family is a high-class noble who is very meritorious to the Empire, I do not want to give them a hanging sentence. It could be a split among the nobility on this,”. “I ascended the throne with a great deal of rejection. So, I know very well if out there, a lot of nobles who still do not like me.”

Ava laughs. “His fate. Life is also many enemies.”

“Ya, there you go.” I'm musing. “I have to find concrete evidence of the intertwined interaction between Belka and Marchioness Franklin. Belka statement alone is not enough.”

“Just leave that to me,” says Ava, offer yourself.

“Is it okay? I've been too much trouble you,” I said reluctantly.

“That's a small thing. Just trust me,” Ava said.

“You did this because you didn't know what to do while running away from Isaac, did you?” my guess.

“It is clearly visible?” ask Ava back.

“Cih. Yes, I confess. You're right.” Ava surrenders. “If our business is done here, we better rest.”

“Where will you sleep?”

“In one of the empty rooms in your palace,” Ava replied quickly.

“Good.”

Ava finally gagged Belka's mouth back, closed her eyes with the black cloth earlier, then disguised the wound on Belka's face with magic so that no one would think that I beat Belka. As soon as Ava came out, she closed the cell door as before, and tailed behind me who was walking towards the exit.

While opening the basement door, the two soldiers were still keeping watch faithfully. They bowed respectfully as I exited the basement.

“Do not do anything else to that prisoner,” I said firmly. “I don't want anyone else to break my orders.”

“Good, Queen,” said one of the soldiers.

I walked to the palace to rest. From a distance, I could see Jasmine running towards me with her lantern. I nodded because I was confused.

This kid is still awake. I told him to rest immediately.

“Is the Queen done checking the waiter?” jasmine asked with sweat pouring down her forehead.

“Yes. Long enough to get him to talk,” I replied as I continued walking. Jasmine is tailing on my right. “Didn't I tell you to rest?”

“How can I leave the Queen alone unattended,”. “Please ask me this, Queen. Due to the incident that made the Queen almost stabbed, I cannot calm down if it does not ensure the Queen is fine.”

I smile. “I'll definitely be fine.” Because there's Ava beside me right now.

No more conversations between us. There were only the sounds of clashing footprints and the vague sounds of soldiers guarding the palace. They are divided into three shifts. Morning, afternoon, and night.

“Then, I'm sorry to withdraw. May the Queen be given a good sleep,” said Jasmine.

“Thank you, Jasmine. You too,” I said am friendly.

Jasmine smiled and looked down respectfully. After that, he left me who was about to rest. Ava went into my room to wash her hands. As soon as he came out, he let out a long sigh and showed a silringah face.

“Didn't our action have been very thrilling?” ava is excited.

“Really?” It's a little stressful, anyway. Except for the part where I was spoken to and treated disrespectfully.

“Yes. I can't wait to see him hanged in front of the people of Vanhoekren,” Ava said, mocking the name of my territory.

“It won't happen until we get the proof,” I said reminding.

“Yes, I know. Then I want to rest first. You also rest, must it be uncomfortable to be in a place that is part of your past trauma?” Ava smiled meaningfully.

I was a little surprised when he realized that. “Uhm, fine. Good night, Ava.”

Ava just waved her hand and left me. I washed my hands and feet, before finally getting into bed and trying to rest. It's a long one. I wonder what Lucas is doing now.
