The Second Life's

The Second Life's
XIX - Dominic's Residence

Mr. Andy and the parents of the duo Felice Feline chatted very harmoniously. Topics can change seamlessly even if they are not talking about art. Most of Julia opened the conversation.

Once again, Felice could see the energy of enthusiasm soaring in her mother's pupils. People who can make Julia give this kind of spirit is not much, even Ella who turned out to be a good friend of Julia in high school did not get a treatment that is so adoring and special from her mother.

"Felice has also put her paintings in this exhibition, sir."

Felice, whose name is mentioned, saw an undisguised sense of pride in Julia's tone when the woman called it her daughter's excess. Felice's eyebrows showed a hint of gentleness as she smiled over the pride of her parents. How many times had he experienced this, he still could not help the trail of warmth that leaked from the tiny speck of tenderness left in his heart.

"Oh yeah?"

Julia happily pulled out her phone and showed me a photo of Felice's work.

"So that's your picture, son," said Mr. Andy, offering a soft nod to Felice as a glint of understanding flashed through his eyes.

"Not bad, unfortunately this painting lacks its aura."

Feline looked up at her grandfather, for her Felice's painting was certainly very good. Moreover, this was not only his unilateral opinion but many people in the school had also given approval to his sister's painting skills.

Mr. Andy's comments made Julia silent for a moment, but the woman immediately responded to her former teacher by throwing a myriad of questions. Mr. Andy smiled calmly, but he did not answer all of Julia's questions.

Just at this time, Gracia came to the group and called Felice, "Felice, it's time to put on a free art show. You can go get ready now."

Felice nodded and let the adults know before following Gracia.

When the two had already arrived at the place, there were already some people who started their work whether it was painting, carving, or forming sculptures out of clay.

Gracia stood in the audience after Felice passed through the ribbon dividing the area between the exhibitors and the audience. This barrier is needed so that the activities of the exhibitors who perform are not disturbed by the audience whether intentionally or not.

Felice took a painting canvas the size of 60x60 cm as well as her painting tools off the shelf where the supplies were placed before taking a position near Vendry to begin doing her part. The man is now focusing on applying acrylic paint on his own canvas.

The little girl put the canvas in a comfortable position before starting to draw a line on the surface of the white canvas. Actually Felice had not really prepared the idea for this painting. He did not think about what works are worth showing at this exhibition considering their audience is not only ordinary people but some are professional.

If you say his skills, he is good at making soulless paintings that only have perfect shells. After all, the experience of his years in America made him aware of this shortcoming.

Felice looked at the sketch of the unformed scene in her canvas and a flash of calculation flashed across her pupils. If he wanted to blow up the audience, maybe he could try this way. The girl instantly erased her original plan of wanting to paint a scene freely and changed her pencil scratch pattern.

Gracia looked at Felice's canvas with question marks. Not only him, but the people who saw Felice's work were also confused. Exhibitors who perform must have established skills to produce quality work, but here what Felice did in front of a lot of people was to scratch the canvas with careless scratches like amateur baby graffiti.

After being satisfied to see the mess on her white canvas, Felice put down the pencil and began to use the paint. Without hesitation he directly poured half the paint content of a few cans into his canvas then applied the color to the entire canvas in a messy method.

Felice's actions made the audience exclaim. The disturbance caught the attention of some exhibitors who stopped their activities to see what was happening.

"What's he doing?!" gracia exclaimed with a stifled voice.

"Why is Felice suddenly like this?" derrick said with the same confusion as everyone else.

"Maybe you think of another idea?" guess Feline unsure. Initially Felice's sketches were slightly shaped and they knew that she might be painting a scene, but with this change of scene it was hard to guess what Felice was thinking.

The canvas background is now dominated by a blend of red, ash, black and other dark colors that seem grim especially with indeterminate scratches that make it even more unsightly.

"What's wrong with this kid, why is the painting so messy."

"Look at how to paint. He even threw out his brush and used his hands to doodle."

"Why can this kid perform anyway? The way painting is really messy."

"..."

Criticisms that were initially mild grew spicy until some did not even hesitate to show their dissatisfaction by criticizing the school that let Felice appear.

Marvin and Julia are certainly not happy with others who vilify their daughter, but Felice's actions are indeed beyond estimation.

Julia looked at Felice's canvas and the more she stared, the frown on her eyebrows grew heavier.

Marvin looked at his wife's concerns and asked, "What's wrong?"

"Somehow I feel Felice's painting has some weird negative emotions. Too gloomy, too scary, it feels claustrophobic, Vin," Julia replied in a depressed tone.

The corner of Felice's lips slightly rose as her ears caught her mother's whisper. Yes, his mother was not mistaken indeed this was not a pleasant sight for others, a scene carved from a blend of memories that he would never forget.

Felice's pupils grew darker and the cold shadows of the past slightly rose to the surface. He calmly pulled a scratch and rubbed his palm onto the canvas before pouring a bit of white paint on top. Using that white paint, he slowly drew more regular sketches than his previous actions.

A faint shadow appeared on the canvas until finally the painted object became clearer.

Couple eyes.

A beautiful pair of empty eyes.

After that a faint facial skeleton began to form, but Felice again poured red paint to disguise the facial skeleton so that it became blurred like a shadow.

The empty pair of eyes started to fill with other images inside.

The image is blurred, but a conscientious person may be able to see a slight form of a small child curled up in the left pupil and other strange, obscure shadows in the right pupil.

After finishing those pair of eyes, Felice smiled. The pair of eyes of the boy narrowed slightly due to his expression. Felice took the dirty cloth beside her and wiped both of her dirty hands before picking up the brush.

This time he did not carelessly throw paint with a frenzy, but patiently drew graceful lines around the object of the painting. Felice patiently pulled out a strand for a flickering eyelash. Not long after, he put down his brush.

The painting that originally got the scorn instantly made the audience speechless.

A pair of beautiful eyes stared straight at him with a strange goosebumping sensation.

"Done."
