The Second Life's
『S2』 IV - Fairy Tale

Knights Turner and Nicholas come to the Imperial Palace after lunch. I chose to chat with the two of them inside the palace living room because the weather outside was getting cold.

From now on I'm wearing a warm dress by Matilda and Chloe. We are getting closer to winter. If you look at the winter that occurred in the year, a snowstorm that is long enough certainly can not be avoided anymore.

By the way, now the knights Turner and Nicholas himself seem nervous when they are with me. I'm a little unsettled by that.

“Be easy a little. Don't feel too formal with me now,” I said with a friendly smile. “This is not an official event or meeting.”

Knight Turner coughed small. “Sorry for making you uncomfortable, Your Highness.”

“Tak what. Let's go straight to the topic we need to discuss. It's about hunting to welcome winter,” I said seriously. “Starting tomorrow you must have prepared anything that you have to prepare for this hunt. All knights and courtiers must also take part.”

“Good, Your Highness,” said knight Turner.

“Then, I also want the two of you including the Expedition Team to thoroughly investigate your report about the incident 2 months ago while the hunt took place,”, I said later. “And the knight Turner himself who will dream of hunting this time.”

“Good, Your Highness.” Knight Turner lowered his head for a moment before finally raising his head again.

“Do not leak what you see to anyone outside the Expedition Team. I don't want to hear any of the things that make the whole Vanhoiren uproar. Up here, you guys understand?”

The knights Turner and Nicholas who were conscious were silent, nodding in understanding.

“Oh yes, how about your family, knight Franklin?” I asked Nicholas. “Are your family warriors going to hunt too?”

Nicholas's face darkened. However, I did not feel any signs of hatred in his heart. There are only feelings of disappointment and also sadness. He must have been very sorry for the actions of his father and mother.

“Only I am the one who participated in this hunt from my family, Your Majesty,” replied Nicholas. “Because of lack of money to pay the workers, My father decided to fire them all.”

I chose not to look at him. In any case, the collapse of the Franklin family was due to my interference as well.

“So, yes,” I said slowly.

Unfortunately, the atmosphere in my living room had now become very awkward because of myself. Nicholas was silent, and the knight Turner was waiting for me to speak, and I was lazy enough to speak again.

Finally, I ordered the two of them to go home because everything I wanted to say was done I told them.

“My mom once told me a fairy tale before I slept. It was the first and last story I heard from him. Do you want to hear?” I asked Lucas.

Yeah, Lucas.

Lucas ran away from Avnevous and came here to see me. He ran away from Ava's niece, aka one of Bloodhart's fierce, and ended up in my bed like a child thirsty for his mother's attention.

Tonight, Lucas once again wants to sleep in the same bed as me. Just sleep only. I lay in Lucas' arms, staring at the ceiling of the room filled with carved floral images.

“Yes, I want to. Tell me the fairy tale,” Lucas said.

“One day there is a little girl named Lu, she has a good friend called Via. Lu a cheerful child, he enjoys adventuring and making friends with anyone. Unlike Lu, Via is instead known as a quiet and introverted girl. Only Lu could believe it. Via relies heavily on Lu, as he thinks that Lu is the only person who can accept whatever his flaws are.

Then, there was one moment where Lu started to get along with the other children. That's why Via feels rivaled by the children. Via was angry and sad because Lu's attention was divided by them. Finally, Via started thinking and brainwashing to make Lu focus on him again.”

“How to Via to get Lu's attention is a very wrong way. Via began to tell Lu's ugliness to friends who were familiar with Lu. Although his friends did not want to believe it, Via made them feel uncomfortable because they kept telling them to stay away from Lu. Inevitably, they also stayed away from Lu.”

“Not only got there, Via secretly interfered with Lu. Inserting the frog carcass into Lu's bag or even tearing Lu.”'s book I'm yawning. “Lu became terrified of it. Friends familiar with her shun her, and Lu thinks that Via is the only person who does care about her. Via's desire to make Lu return to her was realized.”

Lucas laughs. “So?”

I hit his arm. “With first!” my protest. Lucas went back to silence and tightened his embrace on me.

“It turns out, Via experienced a sense of wanting again to do the things he had done to Lu. Even though Lu was already friends with him only again, Via still could not shake his habit of bothering Lu. Not only immediately disturbing Lu psychically, Via began to disturb Lu to the physical,” continued.

“Therefore, Lu became quiet and would no longer leave his house. He skipped school at the Academy, and refused to meet anyone including Via. And after a few days of confinement, Via heard the news that Lu had jumped from the window of his room on the third floor. Finish.”

Lucas looked at me with a dissatisfied look. I knew it was the strangest fairy tale I'd ever heard, and Lucas must have felt the same way. It also made me smile when I saw his face.

“What happened to that girl named Via?” asked Lucas, curious.

“Sentence, Lucas. My mother did not continue the fairy tale because it was reprimanded by my father,” I said slowly.

“It's kind of weird that your mom would tell a dark-themed fairy tale like that, Sweetheart. Are you sure that's the story your mother told you?” ask Lucas.

I laugh. “Ya!” seruku happy. “At least polite actually talked about my mother's shortcomings, but my mother has a strange and eccentric taste.”

“So, yes. It's just right your father reprimanded your mother. Fortunately you who were a child at that time can accept everything.” Lucas kissed my forehead. “Honestly, the fairy tale made me unable to sleep.”

“You suck,” my ledek.

“What do you think happened to Via?” Lucas seemed to be trying to shift the conversation again. Sweetness.

“Hm, let me first think ..., maybe he'll end his life too?” guess me origin.

Lucas pouting. “Why did you conclude something negative. Just think of a little more acceptable thing for kids.”

“Kids?”

“Yes. Our children in the future for example,” Lucas said.

“Let me think again.” I showed a thoughtful expression even though I already knew the other answer that I thought was the most positive. “How about this, Via finally found out that what he did was a mistake. He decided to stop doing that and try to live a normal life.”

“It was quite acceptable,” Lucas said. “Although in fact I deeply regret the death of Lu.”

Oh, the topic is getting more sensitive. So, I chose to turn my back on Lucas and try to sleep. Lucas hugged me from behind and covered our bodies with a thick blanket.

“You don't want to talk about it anymore, huh?” lucas whispered in my ear. Amusedly.

“U-hm.”

“Ya. Sleep, Sweetheart.”

“You too, Lucas.”
