The Second Life's
CVIII - Solving Problems

Two days had passed since Jayden helped with some of the problems I was about to solve in the Empire. Starting from the redevelopment of the Imperial Palace damaged by Ava, mass treatment for wounded soldiers and servants, the, even to the funeral preparations Idris was forced to do as soon as possible due to the insistence of the upper class nobility.

As Jayden took care of the plans for the redevelopment of the Imperial Palace, my three ladies and I focused on Idris' funeral until it was completed. The nobles are happy, and the people will soon be able to make it a priority again.

In 1768 the 11th month, Idris was officially buried in a special cemetery of the Imperial family attended by almost all nobles in the Vanhoiren Empire.

“Queen, I received an important message,” said Maya who is now facing me in my work space.

“What is it?”

Maya approaches, then hands him a letter with a red envelope. I was stunned when I saw the stamp emblem on the letter. Not from any family in Vanhoiren, but this stamp is very familiar and I know very well.

The symbol of the sword with the twisting of a rose. This is the coat of arms of Bevram's kingdom. Why is this suddenly?

Without further ado, I opened the contents of the envelope. I was worried too much about them. King Bevram sends only a letter of condolence for Idris' death.

“Is there a problem? The Queen's face is a bit pale,” Maya said, looking at me worriedly.

“Oh, really?” I held my cheek and smiled. “I'm fine. The contents of this letter are only about King Bevram's condolence for Emperor.”

Maya nodded in understanding. “It turns out King Bevram still remembers that he still has a good relationship with the Imperial family. I'm very happy about it, Ratu.”

“So that way, the Queen's goal of a change can certainly be a little easier, right?” ask Maya later.

“You can come out,” I said indifferently.

“Good, Queen.” Maya lowered her head and withdrew from my work space.

I was quite happy with the letter from King Bevram, but on the other hand, I was also worried about the threat that could have arisen due to the absence of the Emperor in Vanhoiren. No, what else should I worry about?

At the very least, I can still protect myself if there is a threat that comes suddenly. Even so, Ava would definitely not stay silent as well if instructed by Lucas to help me.

Geck! Geck! Geck!

“This is me, Queen,” Hendery said after knocking on my door.

“Log.”

I stared at his hasty-looking arrival. Most likely, she had something good for her to tell me. Is this about Jack? I'm not sure about him either. In the treatment section, I asked Jasmine and Chloe to keep an eye on him.

Everything I have arranged as much as possible so that I can solve all the problems that exist as well and quickly.

About Concubine Sienna? Yes, the High Court officials flocked to check the inner state of the Silver Palace. The bodies of the people reported missing were found in the basement of the Silver Palace.

Because it was considered to hide the evidence of the crime committed by Consort Sienna, the High Court sentenced all residents of the Silver Palace to death. I had wanted to stop him, but as it was realized that they were not affected by dark magic and did so because of money, I allowed that to happen.

The people of Vanhoiren have become more respectful to me because of what I have done to their families. Well, I'm a little relieved.

“This is about Jack Hindley.” Hendery looked at me straight. He looks serious. “He can be returned to his residence tomorrow. The condition is stable.”

“Is there any suspicious signs from him? How small is it?” manya curious.

Hendery. “Sorry, Queen. To date I have been unable to find anything suspicious of Jack. Even when urged by Baron Hindley to answer his question about what happened in the palace, he was just silent and reluctant to answer.”

“He must have known if he opened his mouth, his life would be threatened. Most likely he also already knew that the person who made Consort Sienna and Emperor lifeless was a dangerous person,” I said. “So, he doesn't want to risk.”

“So, do I have to end this?” ask Hendery.

I shook my head and poured him an envelope with a letter. This is the letter I prepared for Jack. No suspicions in Jack's moves, I will keep this letter to him. A tea invitation letter, aka talking about problems that occur properly or through coercion.

“Queen, what is this?”

“Give it to Jack before he returns to his residence. Oh yeah, how about you give it right now? That would be even better,” suggested.

Hendery took the letter. “Alright, Queen. I'll send it right now.”

“Thank you. You can go.”

*

I went into my room and prepared to go to sleep. As soon as I closed my eyes, I woke up with a familiar voice.

“Lucas?”

“Halo,” greet Lucas. He was standing a little far from the end of my bed. “Sorry, did I wake you up?”

I smile. “I'm just going to sleep. Is your job done?”

“But.” Lucas approached and sat down beside me who was still lying down. “I came here just to see your face, Sweetheart.”

“Stop teasing me, Lucas,” I said amusedly. “It's late at night, you have to rest.”

“Is that?” Lucas smiled seductively and took off his shoes.

“What are you doing, Lucas?” many wonder.

“I want to rest.” Lucas immediately lay down beside me and made his position sideways to look at me.

I glared in shock. “Lucas ..., I mean rest in your own room.”

“Telates. I'm comfortable next to you. You can't tell me to move anywhere else,” Lucas said, complete with a mischievous tone. “Just relax, Sweetheart. I just want to sleep.”

“Yes, you can only lie down and close your eyes.” I'm pouting.

How could Lucas just be ordinary? Oh, hold on. Her ears are red. It turned out that he was also ashamed of his actions right now.

What are the kujahili, huh? No. gabe. It would be dangerous for me. Never test a man.

Lucas looked at me who remained in the same position. He then stroked my hair and smiled. “Calculate this as a mental exercise before we actually sleep together. You know what I mean?”

“Sleep, Lucas. I'm so tired today. I'm also sure if you're as tired as I am.” My sleepiness started attacking me. I closed my eyes. “For today alone I let you sleep in the same bed as me before we got married.”

“Thank you, Sweetheart.”

All I remember the last time was, a little peck on my forehead from Lucas, and his hand that was coiled around my belly. He hugged me when I was asleep.
