An hour had passed, I waited for the arrival of Idris who was supposed to pick me up to go to the altar—again. The sound of knocking on the door rang out, Tory's subordinates who were near the door finally opened it.
Look Idris is wearing clothes that match my dress. Vanhoiren's heirloom sword was on his waist. I stood up and approached Idris. It is time for us to be crowned the new Emperor and Queen.
Chloe waited in the prep room together with Tory. Our coronation was attended only by the Emperor, the Queen, and also the upper class nobles. I was just a little worried that there would be side effects to my body if I and Consort Sienna were in the same place. Like in a meeting first.
“I can't believe if you have an aggressive side, My wife,” Idris said. “Hopefully tonight will be an unforgettable night for both of us.”
I can only smile. My gel taste could not be contained if I responded to Idris' cheesy remark.
“I also did not expect that Mr. Franklin would get your flower bouquet that we threw together. Looks like he has to hurry up and find a future wife and get married,” Idris said later. “Didn't you feel like this was a coincidence, My wife?”
“Uhm, I don't know. I don't really care about that. After all, Mr. Franklin should focus on his work of becoming my personal knight for approximately a year.”
“You look not excited. Are you sick, My wife?” Idris asked with a worried face.
The only reason I'm not excited is that the call you gave me was too sickening.
Unknowingly, we were already in front of the altar door. The door was opened by the soldiers, and we entered the altar that had been remodeled into our coronation.
All the nobles, except the Emperor and the Queen, stood up to welcome our arrival. Idris and I continued walking until the Emperor and Queen were sitting in their thrones.
Idris and I immediately knelt down in front of them while bowing their heads. Long enough we were in that position until finally the Emperor stood up assisted by the Vanhoiren Scepter. It is said that there is energy stored in the stick. I also did not dare to cast my magic to detect it. Who knows, Consort Sienna watched our coronation secretly.
The Emperor's adjutant came to pick up the scepter held by him. The emperor removed the crown that was to become the emblem of Emperor Vanhoiren from the top of his head.
“Stand,” Emperor orders to Idris.
Idris stood, and was crowned by the Emperor. Idris knelt down again as a final tribute to the old Emperor. The adjutant holding the scepter of the Emperor, immediately returned the scepter to its owner. The emperor sat down again.
Now, it's my turn to receive the crown from the Queen. The queen stood up and looked me in the eye with a sharp look. He stood in front of me and put on a flat face.
“Build.” The Queen's words can only be heard by me as well as Idris.
I followed and stood before him. I bow my head as a form of courtesy. The Queen then relinquished her crown and was put on me.
“Until any time, I will never consider you as the successor to the Queen's throne,” the Queen whispered to me.
I only smiled as I was reluctant to reply to the Queen. No matter how tempting a Queen may be, I have absolutely no interest if her partner is Idris.
The queen clucked in annoyance and returned to her seat.
We finally turned around to face all the nobles present. But, my eyes were on the back row of the bench. It's Rose! Oh, for the Goddess of Virtue. What is he doing at this sacred coronation? He didn't even change the clothes he was wearing.
So focused on Rose, I realized Idris was holding my hand. We will tour the entire Vanhoiren region, with a massive parade. Events created by Vanhoiren are boring. It is different from Avnevous.
“Are you tired, My wife?” Is Idris determined to keep calling me “my wife”?
I'm shaking. “No. I'm fine, Idris.”
“It looks like you're not used to calling me husband, huh?” Idris looks disappointed. “What's wrong, don't be in a hurry. I'll wait for you until you're ready to call me that.”
Why should I prepare myself?
“By the way, I saw Rose Hindley at the altar at the coronation earlier,”, I said, intending to divert the conversation.
“Uhm ..., did you see it?” Idris was getting nervous.
“True. I saw it at our wedding and coronation. For the wedding, I think it's okay. But, the coronation of Emperors and Queens was a special event. How can Rose Hindley attend?!” irked me.
“Ah, he said he wanted to see me take the throne as Emperor. This is a once in a lifetime moment. I also can't bear to make him unable to see my coronation,” explained Idris at length. “Don't tell me you're jealous, My wife?”
Geck! Geck! Geck!
The right timing. I was saved from the stupid question Idris asked me. I hurried to open the window of the train that was knocked from outside. It turns out it was Jack. He goes on foot along with Chloe and the other important subordinates.
“What's up, Jack?” manya curious.
“We will soon enter the people's residential area. Please wave from inside the train alone,” Jack said.
“Alright, you can back off,” said Idris.
Jack finally got away from our train. He went into the back group. Idris and I did what Jack said. The people returned our hands from a distance.
It was a bit sad to see such a situation. This action of mine creates a kind of distance between the high and also the low. I don't really like Vanhoiren's tradition. In contrast to Idris, he seems very comfortable doing just that. There was a sense of pride emanating from his face at this moment.
I decided to keep smiling and waving out even though my mind wasn't in place.
We ended up going around to various places that the train could enter for two whole hours. At the end point, we distributed food to the people through the servants who participated.
It would actually be better if we gave it ourselves directly. But still I can't do much about the traditions that have existed since generations.
At the end of the event, Idris gave a little speech about our coronation in front of the people of Vanhoiren. I stood beside Idris feeling bored.
