“I think we'll take the train alone,” Idris said to me as he looked at Chloe sitting sweetly beside me.
I smiled at him. “There may be me leaving my servant alone. What I mean by tandem is .., me, my servant, and also you.”
“That means the three of us.” Idris pouting.
“Chloe will not be the third person among our relationships.” I smiled at him again. “I don't think I need to explain this to you anymore. I don't want you to spend your time with Miss Hindley until you take the throne.”
“Charlotte, it feels like you are at your limit at the moment,” said Idris without looking at me again. “Should at this moment you should be silent in your elegance. Not that ... yell and act as you please to me as well as to Rose.”
Actually right now I want to blaspheme Idris with harsh words. Even I was anxious to scream in front of her face and slap her cheeks in annoyance. But of course I didn't. Before I could reach Concubine Sienna, I had to step forward past Idris first.
My actions and common sense are against each other. All I can do right now is hold back my anger. That'sthat's all.
“Sorry, Idris. I've been overreacting daritadi,” I said sadly. “You know I'm jealous to see you and Rose making out in front of my own eyes? It felt like my heart was stabbed by an arrow .. and my neck was strangled by a rope. As sick as it is.”
Just be a driver.
Miraculously, Idris' expression was beyond my expectations. He was silent with two enlarged eyeballs in shock. Tears came out and wet his cheeks. Oh my God .. What is this?
This is not the expression I want. Why should he pretend to be sad like this? Does he want to draw my sympathy?!
“I'm sorry, Charlotte. I'm sorry .... I'm really a stupid and naive man,” said Idris.
Know yourself too apparently.
“Sorry .., I'm already interested in you and Rose,” said Idris again.
“Already, Idris. I don't want to hear any sayings from your mouth that.” I thrust out the snack bag I held onto him. “Eat this so that your feelings improve.”
“You are indeed a good woman, Charlotte.”
I ignored his words and thought of them as just the wind. On the way to the Imperial palace, we were just engrossed in eating a snack.
I got off the train with Idris' help. We finally reached the Imperial Palace. The servants welcomed our presence and the three of us were immediately directed to the Imperial indoor garden to eat a chocolate cake snack bought by Jack and also have tea.
Idris told Chloe to wait outside because she wanted her privacy with me awake. Now we're both left. Accompanied by warm tea and a plate full of snacks.
“Is there anything you want to need again?” ask Idris.
“Uhm, no. This is enough for me.”
“Regarding what you said about Ayahanda ..., where did you hear that?” asked Idris with a watchful body gesture. “And who have you told about this?”
“I smelled the garlic that was thought to be arsenic from the tea that His Majesty the Emperor was about to drink. Only you know this, Idris,” I said quietly.
“Forget that, Charlotte. Don't push this any deeper. Let me handle everything. You don't have to worry,” said Idris seriously. “Emperor will soon ... so you .. and. Understand?”
“What?”
“We focus on our wedding only,” Idris said later.
I could only nod and drink my tea. My hands were trembling again like the events that had passed. Idris clasped my left hand on the table. She gently nibbled my palm and occasionally stroked it a little. I'm getting nauseous.
Geck! Geck! Geck!
The knocking of the door made me breathe a sigh of relief. I hurriedly pulled my hand out of his grasp before I completely vomited from being held by him. Idris focused on knocking that door.
“Come in!” Idris's orders.
The door opened and Jack appeared with a small box in his hand. Idris smiled as he looked at the box. Judging from the sweat that poured out on Jack's face, I can confirm that he has worked hard. Jack thrust the box in his hand at Idris without saying anything.
“Have you confirmed that Rose has arrived safely?” Idris asked Jack.
Jack nodded. “Although it took quite a while to persuade Miss Hindley, she finally wanted to take the train that had been rented for her.”
“Good. You can come out,” said Idris.
“I'm sorry,” said Jack who then came out of the indoor park.
The indoor garden itself is made with thick glass walls. We could see out that had a view of the palace lake. Shaded roof makes the temperature in the indoor garden cool.
It used to be our favorite place if I was visiting the Imperial Palace. A sickening nostalgia.
“This is something I promised you, Charlotte,” Idris said. He handed me the box that Jack had delivered. “Open. You must like.”
I stared at him for a moment and then opened the golden box tied with a black ribbon. When I saw the contents, I could only be stunned. It was the clasp I wore during my wedding with Idris. Gold flower clasps to decorate my hair.
Not that I was moved or anything, but I was instead horrified by his current actions. This clip was given by my father the day before the wedding, but why did Idris give it to him?
I closed the box I had opened, and took a deep breath. I tried to smile and then went back to drinking my nearly finished tea.
“Do you like it?” ask Idris.
“Where did you find it?” askaku.
“It just so happens that I took a walk in the city some time ago. After that, I found it and remembered you. It would be great if you put that clasp on our wedding day ...” I can see the happy face of Idris who seems to be busy imagining our marriage is already in front of those eyes. “How do you think?”
Maybe the clasp was just a coincidence. The future is not always the same as the past. Yeah, maybe it was just a coincidence.
“I think that's a good idea, Idris. I love this gift of yours. Thank you.”
Idris nodded and smiled. Although Idris' smile at the time I was executed was different from the current one, I still felt uneasy as he smiled. His smile tickled my stomach.
It means I'm gonna puke.
