I was woken up by a movement in the bed made by Lucas. It turned out that he had woken up and was about to return to Avnevous. He had not been able to stand up yet, I had already held back the arm of his shirt and smiled as he turned towards me.
Lucas was surprised.
“Oh, sorry to wake you, Sweetheart.” Lucas stroked my head. Then I looked down a little to kiss my forehead. “Sleep. It's still too early to wake up.”
“Help me before leaving,” my door spontaneously. Lucas was surprised to hear my request.
Lucas pulled me into his arms. We hugged for a long time without saying a word. I don't know why I wanted to be hugged by Lucas. There's a wish I can't explain in words.
Some kind of hunch.
“In your opinion, when can we unite?” ask Lucas.
I just shut up and tightened my arms. I don't have a definite answer. For now, I don't want to make Lucas make my words a burden on my mind. Being together is not easy and it is not really a difficult thing.
It's not easy, because our backgrounds are opposite to each other. Lucas is the King of the West, Avnevous. I am the Emperor of the North, Vanhoiren. And we can know that Avnevous and Vanhoiren are two hostile territories.
It is not difficult because I am the Emperor. The most powerful man in the Empire. Who will challenge me? However, the minus value is that I will be denounced by the nobles as well as my own people. Likewise with Lucas who can get the same treatment as me.
“You are also very thoughtful about it, huh?” Lucas knew exactly what I was thinking. Thank God, I don't have to explain anything to her anymore. “Calm down, Sweetheart. Don't push yourself too much. I also tried there.”
“Yes. Okay, Lucas.”
Lucas stretched his arms and looked at me. “I'm leaving now. Sleep again, okay?”
“Ya.”
“I will definitely meet you here often,” said Lucas who I know is trying to cheer me up.
However, I laughed. “Stop making things up, Lucas. You have a job to do at Avnevous.”
“You forgot? I have escape ability, Sweetheart.” Lucas smiled mischievously.
“And that's when Ava herself will follow you and drag you home,”.
“Ugh, that old granny always just can't let us make out in the slightest. I really want to protect him if he's here now,” Lucas said.
“Back, Lucas.”
“Alright, Sweetheart. Excitement for today.”
I'm nodding. “You too, Lucas.”
After Lucas went to Avnevous and left me alone in the room, I went back to sleep again until Chloe came to wake me up with her cup of jasmine tea which was my favorite tea.

Today I'm going to visit the knight special camp to see the Expedition Team's preparations.
Hendery— who has become a Duke— who will accompany me to go there. I purposely just brought Hendery so he and Nicholas could be more familiar. I want the relationship between the brothers to be better than ever.
Now, as a result of the loss of the Franklin family's noble title and the rise of Hendery into a Duke, Nicholas must have felt the gap between the two of them.
That's gonna be complicated.
“Your Majesty, did someone enter His Majesty's room earlier at dawn?” matilda asked between my breakfasts.
I almost choked when I heard Matilda's question. And with the attitude I made back as usual, I answered his question indifferently.
“No. Why?”
Matilda. “Sorry, Your Majesty. As I was about to go to the kitchen, I briefly saw a black shadow coming out of the hallway that led to His Majesty's room.”
“Uhm, it may be the spirit of the Emperor,” I said, trying to scare Matilda so as not to dare to come out at dawn again.
“Roh Emperor? Ma-I mean His Majesty is a ghost?!” Matilda was surprised by her own words.
“Ghost?” Jasmine, who had just entered the dining room, was also interested in Matilda's conversation with me. “What do you mean, Dayang Matilda?”
“Ah, the .... I saw a black shadow from the direction of His Majesty's room,” Matilda said.
“Isn't it possible that it was the spirit of the Emperor who wanted to see the state of His Majesty?” Jasmine regained her composure and acted naturally, then used logic to think.
I just kept quiet and listened to both of them. It's funny if I hear a conversation whose topic is something I know for myself.
What Emperor Spirit. Where could Idris want to see me who was the cause of his own death. Even if he comes, he'll just want to avenge everything I've done. And I don't care about it because he made me do such a heinous thing.
“Now it's time for you to stop to talk about it,” I said later. The more I let her go, the more my three ladies incessantly discussed Idris and myself. “Emperor has rested quietly. If he did come, then why? Maybe that's a good-bye for me. Man no one knows the mysteries of the world.”
Why did Lucas have to be discovered by Matilda?! Now there will definitely be rumors of Idris' ghost inside the palace. Ugh, I don't want to get myself stuck in the shadow of Idris anymore. This is so annoying.
“I'm sorry, Your Honor. We have crossed the line,” said Jasmine. “What can we do so that Your Majesty can forgive us?”
“Nothing. Check the train if it is ready or not. I want to go to the knight special camp right now,” I said in a flat tone.
Jasmine. “Good, Your Majesty. Then, I'm sorry.”
“Ya.”
The situation is calm again. I can breathe again.
If I could choose, I would rather be a listener than a speaker. My days make me feel calm and alive. However, that doesn't mean I'm happy to hear them raving about Idris.
Moreover, the reason why I felt more alive was .. because I was secretly hiding the feeling of a rope being coiled around my neck. Yes, I can still feel the rope of execution tying my neck.
When I remember it, I knew that I was really through death. And that memory of death can never be lost in my entire life.
So, I want to keep quiet and keep all my wounds alone. I don't want to give this burden to anyone including Lucas.
I don't want to be a burden to others.
