The Second Life's
LXXXVIII - Interesting Information

The palace chef's beef steak is delicious. At my slightly pushy request, Jasmine inevitably had to respond to that. From yesterday I was forced to eat a tasteless soup that was said to be efficacious by the Imperial Physician.

If asked to choose, I'd prefer Chloe's soup over that tasteless soup. But most importantly, today I can already eat this human food. My heart is a little more entertained.

Yesterday, after Idris left, I was just crunching on the bed. Eating bland soup, taking medicine, not snacking on chocolate cake, not drinking jasmine tea, not going to work in my room, and not even getting out of bed.

Ava has not shown her nose to this day. It was possible that he had already returned to Avnevous and resolved his problem with Isaac. I'm also still worried about Isla who still seems to have not been buried by Isaac. I know, Isaac was devastated by Isla's death. The only family Isaac had.

As soon as I finished eating, Jasmine removed my little dining table from the bed and walked out of my room. After Jasmine left, Chloe came in with a glass of water and my medicine. I have to take my medicine three times a day.

“Is there another book the Queen wants to read again? I can take it for the Queen,” bargained Chloe, after I've taken the medicine and sat leaning on my own bed.

“I want out to breathe fresh air.”

“Sorry, Queen. Your body is still weak. You have to wait until tomorrow to recover properly,” Chloe said.

I growled in annoyance. “Why am I treated like a sick person? Was it Idris who told you to lock me up in this palace?!”

Chloe just shut up.

I finally got out of my bed and walked out of the room. I ignored Chloe's exclamation asking me to go back into the room. Being locked up like that keeps me locked up. This is my life, I have to decide what I have to do.

“Queen! I beg you, return to the Queen's room!” exclaim Chloe.

I didn't care, I accelerated my footsteps towards the side garden, and I met up with Hendery instead. It turned out that he had returned to the palace, albeit with a cold and hollow look.

When our eyes looked at each other, he just looked down at me. His gaze was already different, unlike the old Hendery.

“Did you decide to settle here?” I asked Hendery.

Hendery, who was practicing the sword, approached me. “Ya.”

“Why?”

“I wanted to give up on my ambitions and go back to my family. But, my mother instead bestowed all her frustration on me and kicked me out of the house again,”. “It turns out they prefer my own brother on their side. Rather than me fixating on people who don't appreciate me, I better look for my own happiness.”

“I salute your bravery, Knight Franklin,” I said spontaneously. “But happiness can be created from yourself and those around you. Are you a grudge against me for ruining your family?”

Hendery. “No. My mother deserved it for her own behavior. Father also supports a crime, it is also intolerable.”

I nodded and smiled. “You should know, cruelly I have a purpose. If you want to be part of my goal, you should be able to have a big heart.”

“I understand if the Queen is playing in a big fire. The Queen's destination is not kidding.” Hendery finally smiled. “I won't be daunted anymore, Queen.”

“Really? Are you sure you want to burn with me?” I grinned.

“Yes. I really like challenges, Queen.”

“Queen, you should immediately return to the room,” said Jasmine who stood together with Chloe.

I glanced at Hendery a little and nodded. “Good. I'm going back. I've been breathing fresh air long enough,” I said as I turned around. “Knight Franklin, try not to be troublemakers again.”

“Good, Queen.”

“Does the Queen want to eat soup again?”

“No,” sahutku fast. “You can go. I want to take a nap.”

Chloe nodded too. “Good. Have a good rest, Queen.”

As soon as Chloe left, I immediately lay down on my bed and closed my eyes. I opened my magic and began to hear voices inside the palace. A bit of gossip before going to bed doesn't hurt either.

“Why have you been down?” ask Jasmine.

“Queen wants to take a nap. He told me to leave him alone,” Chloe replied.

“Oh, so.”

“By the way, I heard something terrible in the Imperial Palace,” Matilda said.

Something terrible? This is something I should have heard. Dad's spies are very adept at finding information from sources I can't imagine.

“What is it?” Jasmine sounded interested.

“The waiters mysteriously disappeared. No one knows where they are or who they are with. Until this second, the waiters were not found,” Matilda said. “Since then, the guard in the palace tightened from before.”

“It's not that bad? Even the case of the disappearance of the people of Vanhoiren could not be revealed and deliberately covered up by the previous Emperor,” added Chloe.

It turns out they know that too. Yes, it is true that Father and Idris are very much hiding it. Of course to cover up what Consort Sienna had hidden. Actually, I still kept thinking of ways to capture Consort Sienna without getting myself cornered. Idris will definitely support Consort Sienna.

Damnit.

“Do we just ask the Queen?” moan Jasmine.

“Do not!” exclamation Matilda.

“Why?” ask Jasmine.

“What if the Queen goes straight to the Imperial Palace and meets Rose Hindley?”

“Hah? What if the Queen meets the woman?” jasmine asked who was astonished at Matilda's words.

“Can be critical. The Queen is just starting to recover from her illness, if she hears the news, she will definitely fall ill again,” Matilda said.

I don't know what Matilda wanted to say. But, I was a bit annoyed that they treated me like a weak and helpless woman. I don't like being treated like that.

It feels, very unfair.

Jasmine clucked in annoyance. “Ya, what news? Stop talking in convoluted!”

“Alright. I'll say.” Matilda surrendered. “In addition to the information earlier, there is also other information that is more terrible than that. Yesterday, I had a chance to talk to my friend who is a servant of the Imperial Palace in the market, he said that Rose Hindley became very strange.”

“Any?” This time Chloe's the voice. Apparently, he was still listening as well.

“Yes. Rose Hindley became frequently vomiting in the morning, and upon examination by the Imperial Doctor ..., it turned out that she was pregnant.”
