XXXVIII - Isaac's Feelings

Thank goodness Lucas prevented me from falling by pulling my hand. He pushed Evie away from doing other dangerous things. I was grabbed by Lucas so I wouldn't go anywhere.

“What are you doing?!” luke Lucas was angry.

Evie fell to the floor and shouted hysterically. “The woman! That woman makes me unable to be with you!”

“Lucas ..” I looked at Lucas who could no longer control his emotions. “Tenace.”

Ava, Isaac, even the guests finally gathered to see us. Evie stood up and wiped her tears in a rough style. She bit her lips and then clucked in annoyance a few times.

“What happened?!” ask Lucas' father to worry. “What makes Princess Duke Harrison like this?”

“He almost hurt Charlotte. If I hadn't stopped her, Charlotte would have fallen off this balcony because she was pushed by Miss Evie,” Lucas explained.

“Evie, is that true?”

“A-Dad ...,” says Evie scared. “It's not-”

The atmosphere became tense. I could see if the man called Father by Evie, slapped him without hesitation. Evie's father or Duke Harrison can be said to look embarrassed because of Evie's actions. The woman could not even take out one or two more words after that.

“Duke Harrison, your current actions are quite harsh on your own daughter,” Lucas' father said.

“He deserves it. Instead of introspecting himself for failing to become the King's spouse, he instead expressed his frustration to the King's real spouse,” Duke Harrison said. “Pardon my Son's insolence, His Majesty King.”

Lucas sighed. “It's okay, Duke Harrison. Please bring Miss Evie so she can calm down. I'll take Charlotte home.”

I was led by Lucas through the crowd with Ava and Isaac trailing from behind. We arrived back in front of the palace. The train is ready to deliver. Ava and Isaac went in first. Leave me and Lucas quiet without a word.

“Thank you, Lucas. If you don't help me-”

Ah, I haven't felt Lucas' kiss for a long time. The kiss turned into a warm, deep kiss. Unknowingly, I was already in his arms. Our lips clashed against each other as we clutched.

Our activity halted when Ava blatantly coughed loudly inside the train. I laughed with Lucas.

“Congratulations for your coronation, Lucas,” I said.

“I'm waiting for you to be with me,” Lucas said. “I hope everything passes quickly.”

“Yes, the Crown Prince said he would marry me within a month,” I told Lucas.

A smile spread on his lips. “I can't wait for that, Charlotte.”

“I also.”

“Sorry can't get you to Vanhoiren,” Lucas said. “Do not forget to contact me, okay?”

I'm nodding. “Iya. I promise you, Lucas. Then I'll go home.”

“Be careful on the road,” Lucas said.

“Iya.”

I got on the train and waved at Lucas from the window. The train went and the three of us left Avnevous Palace and headed home to the Magic Union Tower not too far away.

Ava took a nap due to exhaustion and I stayed with Isaac who was awake in the carriage. To be honest, I still feel guilty about Isla to Isaac. I can't calm down.

“What's up, Miss Charlotte?” ask Isaac kindly.

“There's something I want to talk to you about. But I'm a little worried because this can make you remember bad things,” I said scared.

Isaac smiled. “If this concerns my son, Isla. Miss Charlotte need not worry,” Isaac said. “I was indeed afraid and could not carry out my work normally in recent times because of the disappearance of Isla. That's normal for a parent like me. Isla is the only relic from my wife who has passed.”

“But it's just a natural reaction. I believe in Isla's talent. I've raised him since childhood and know the limits of his abilities. My daughter is already big and able to look after herself even in the demon cage once,” Isaac continued. “For that, Miss Charlotte don't worry and just think about Miss's plan with Miss Ava.”

I shed tears from seeing and feeling Isaac's hardness. “But I wouldn't be calm if I didn't say this. From the bottom of my heart, I apologize to you, Isaac. I promise to return Isla,” I told Isaac.

“Miss Charlotte doesn't need to be up to that. But I am very grateful and appreciate it,” Isaac said.

“Good, Isaac.”

The train stops in front of the Magic Union Tower and Ava wakes up without being awakened. He yawned and went down first, following me, then Isaac. Today was fun and exhausting.

I entered the Tower to cross the portal to my room in the Bronze Palace.

“Then I say goodbye,” I said to Ava and Isaac.

“Yes, please prepare for your wedding,” says Ava. “Oh yes, since you will spend more time with the Crown Prince, I have prepared the potion for your headache.”

Ava went into her room and came out with a small bottle of pills. I picked it up when Ava thrust the bottle at me.

“At drink every morning,” order Ava. “The effect is 24 hours.”

“This is very helpful. Thank you,” I said.

“Yes, come back and rest.”

I nodded and entered the portal. I sighed as I set foot back in the Bronze Palace. As soon as I came out of the secret room, I looked out the window.

At least, my time to avenge everything is not long. A month from now.

In a few days, Hendery will return from his expedition and I will also have to attend a dinner with the Dominic and Harriston Families. Everything became solid because of my will that accelerated this marriage.

I sat in front of the dresser and removed my makeup. I took off the hairpin I was wearing and changed my dress to a sleeping pajama.

As my body lay down and came into contact with the soft bed, my drowsiness began to appear and lead me to be shut up in a dream. I got Ava's medicine in the drawer for me to drink tomorrow morning.

I opened my eyes when I felt someone staring at me. When I saw the culprit, it was Idris. He looked at me as if he was preparing to pounce on me alive.

“Good morning, Idris,” I said to him.

“Yesterday, are you home alone?” ask Idris.

“Iya. Actually I stayed in the room and read books,” I replied casually. “What brought you here?”

Idris shook his head and smiled. “Wake up and we have breakfast together. Before dinner later, we will choose your wedding dress.”

“Alright, Idris. Please wait a minute, I'll get ready,” I said as I got out of bed. “Can you please call Chloe to help me?”

“By pleasure, Charlotte,” Idris said then walked out of my room.

Shortly after, Chloe came and helped me get ready for breakfast.
