The Second Life's
LXXXI - Weight Topic

In the morning, I woke up to the sound of my door being opened. As usual, Chloe came by to bring me jasmine tea. The fragrant aroma made me more excited to start this morning.

Chloe helped me get ready with the two maids who had just come along with Matilda. Since Matilda still had to check on the kitchen maids who made breakfast, the three of them were left to help me.

After soaking and wearing my daily gown, I had breakfast while my legs were replaced by bandages and treated again by Chloe. I had breakfast in my room to save time. Today I have to find evidence of the conspiracy of Belka and the Marchioness Franklin.

While Consort Sienna is still not fully recovered, I still have time to take care of other things. I hope Ava can get her proof as soon as possible.

“I heard there was food stolen in the palace kitchen,” Chloe said.

“Oh, yes?” My thoughts were immediately on Ava. Who else stole food without being caught. “Maybe it was a cat.”

Chloe shook her head. “Plates and glasses are also taken. Does the Queen not think it was the work of Knight Franklin?”

Unfortunately for Hendery's fate, he has to be a scapegoat in Ava's troubles. Not wanting to make this a big deal, I prefer to be ignorant in front of Chloe and continue to chew the sandwich that became my breakfast menu.

“Uhm, how about the interrogation of Belka, Queen?” ask Chloe who finished changing the bandage on my leg. He stood in front of me with a patient face.

“If I have found what I need, I will go to the Imperial Palace today to meet with the Emperor,”. I know it didn't answer the question my youngest lady just now, but I don't want to answer at length what I did to Belka last night.

Chloe chose to just nod to my answer. Looks like he knows if I don't want to talk about it. Sometimes, people who have sharp intuition make me rather horrified. Without even needing to explain, they could easily understand.

Maybe Chloe's one of them. At a young age, Chloe has become a mature person who I can liken to Jasmine or Matilda.

“Do you still remember that today is the day where you will meet the candidate of the new Chief Maid?” ask Chloe.

“Yes, I still remember. Just ask Jasmine to greet them and deliver them to my study. I will be there until noon,” I replied.

“Good, Queen.”

“I will send a letter regarding my arrival to the Emperor's palace. Ask a special courier to deliver it later.”

Chloe nodded. “Good, Queen.”

In my work space, I was busy struggling with my work that was delayed. At least I want to finish it little by little while I still have some free time. Yes, I know it's my duty as a Queen, but I can't focus on my work in these crucial moments.

For about two hours I focused on my work, Ava came in a different dress than last night. Now, her knee-length black dress was lined by a white robe bearing the Avnevous royal logo on her ever-wearing knob.

He put down an envelope stamped by Franklin's family that had been opened. I was stunned to see that and immediately smiled. Ava worked hard.

I opened the letter and was surprised by its contents. This is really the proof I need.

Let no one know who is behind the Queen's stabbing. Shut your mouth until the end of your life.

Regarding the payment, I already gave your father what he needed yesterday afternoon. You don't have to worry about your father anymore. Just make sure your work goes well. I need a satisfactory result.

I nodded quickly. “Yes, this is what I need!” seruku happy.

“Alright, what are you waiting for? Let's execute that son s*alan!” Ava seemed very excited.

“Yes, I will immediately go to the Imperial Palace to inform the Emperor of this matter. Belka's execution will probably be left to her. But, if this concerns the Franklin family, I need his approval,” I said rather annoyed.

“Power is terrible. As long as there is a name and money, it was removed also need consideration,” comments Ava. “If I were you, I would have executed them all without regard to the Emperor's decision. If not those who died, you would have been killed first by them. Remember that.”

I smiled bitterly. “Vanhoiren is different from Avnevous. They were too fixated on the Empire's rules. They tend to choose good things over good things. You should know that.”

“I know. Hence there is a war between Avnevous and Vanhoiren.” Ava smiled as well. But, a mocking smile.

“Like it or not, I have to follow Vanhoiren's way for now,” I told Ava. “What I will do today will probably change the way people look at me. But, I can't back down.”

“Yes. I'll guide you until everything you want to achieve is realized.” Ava sighed. “At least, until Lucas marries you and moves to Vanhoiren.”

“Uhm, so that's your destination?” manya curious.

Ava laughs. “If you marry later, there will be many people hostile to you. Vanhoiren and Avnevous. Wrong, later the other two regions also antagonize you.”

“Yes, that is an obstacle I have to face with Lucas,”. “But, we shouldn't be discussing this yet.”

“Consider this mental exercise before being blasphemed all over the region,” Ava said of origin. “If you're ready, I'll follow you remotely later. I'm going to go first.”

“Uhm, actually there is something I want to ask you,” I said doubtfully.

“What?”

“Only earlier, where did you have breakfast?” manya curious.

“Of course here. I took a little breakfast in the kitchen. Don't worry about the plates and the glasses. I gave it back,” said Ava confidently.

Right, kan. Ava did.

I smile. “Good. After a little business, I will immediately go to the Imperial Palace. Please be patient a little.”

“Ya, just relax.” Ava jumped right out of my window. Go and disappear as fast as lightning.

A few seconds after that, the door of my study was knocked. When I handed them over, it was Jasmine and the three people I knew. And I won't choose wrong again now.

“May Her Majesty the Queen be blessed Goddess of Virtue,” greetings the four people in front of me.

I smiled and looked at the three people who were now looking down.

“This is the candidate we are talking about, Queen,” Jasmine said.

I nodded in understanding. “Can we start the question?” All the candidates were surprised by the impromptu question. “This is a simple question. How would you respond if the Imperial system was changed? I hope, I can get an interesting answer from the three of you.”
