...CHAPTRE 7...
...THE LITTLE LATTE ESPRESSO...
Rosaline poked her head from behind the door, peering from a distance at what Daniel was doing with his other two employees. He noticed the adult man who put on a business smile as he faced the customer in front of him.
"The later the day goes by, the more crowded this cafe becomes," he murmured.
He glanced towards the wall clock that showed at half-eight in the night and sighed tiredly. Can't imagine how tired the man was from this morning until last night.
"Well, at least he's not as lazy as Julian is" he said. Because to be honest even now, Rosaline still does not know what Julian is doing to make money all this time. Yeah, let's hope it's not something bad.
When the nape of his neck creeped out as if there were a pair of eyes watching, Daniel, turned to the door and giggled with amusement when he found Rosaline was singing her lips and waving a small wave at him from behind the door.
With a slow swing of his hand, Daniel told the girl to come closer. "What are you doing there, Rosie? You're like a lizard stuck to the door, "His lips and were given a whimper by the owner's name.
"Well, just thinking how can you run this cafe so well" he said.
He steered his feet towards the barista table where Daniel was and stopped right beside him, as the emerald iris of the girl read the inscription 'the little latte espresso' with the conjunct letters on the wall. Which is the name of this cafe.
"You underestimated me too much, boy. I've lived a long time, since before you were born. Which means, I have more experience than you," he said arrogantly.
Rosaline subconsciously let the sound of rustiness out of her mouth.
"By the way you're not as busy as Reggie? Or maybe busy chatting with your new friend on mobile?" tanyakanya.
"No," answered Rosaline.
A few days after the first class began, Rosaline made friends. Clark the golden money boy. But somehow after he received the girl's hand, they rarely met.
Rosaline raised her eyebrows when Daniel suddenly removed the apron she was wearing and thrust it at her.
"As I said at the time, the day you first arrived in England. You guys should work at my cafe. Think of it as a return for not paying rent for my house."
"Because Reggie's busy with his paper assignments, you better be the first one. You'll teach the boy. So take it, this is the time."
Rosaline took the dark brown apron. Without further ado directly pinned it to his body and after that raised his gaze, looking at Daniel who was now smiling proudly towards him.
With a tongue, he asked, "so what can I do?"
Daniel shifted. He gave the girl a place to stand where she was standing earlier. "Well. The first of all. You have to say 'welcome to little latte espresso' whenever a new customer comes along. Then explain our menu recommendations in this wooden frame and record their orders after that."
Rosaline stared at the old wooden frame pointed at by Daniel before focusing her attention on Daniel again as the adult man taught her how to use the coffee machine as well as the cashier, while two of his other employees were watching them from a distance.
"Understand with that?" Daniel notices Rosaline fiddling with the coffee machine.
"Yes. Thank you, Dan."
Daniel glared at her for a moment before shaking his head. "Whatis that? A new nickname? For your information, I'm Daniel, "His protest, instead of pinning an angry tone in his sentence, he just smiled.
Rosaline nodded. "Yes that's your nickname from me. Like it or not, I'm gonna call you like that."
To be honest, Rosaline would rather call him Dan than Daniel. He thought Daniel's name was too long, and he was too lazy to call him by such a full name.
"Did he get it too?"
Daniel giggled amusedly. "Why can't I imagine her face when you two call her that."
"Well actually, she doesn't like the nicknames I make. So Reggie and I keep calling him Julian."
Daniel laughed again. "Yes yes, do as you please then," he broke, pretending not to look concerned even though the smile on his face said something else.
"By the way you don't mind keeping the cafe for a while? I have to go check the supplies. Looks like we're running out of buttercream" Daniel reports as he reads the inventory report book.
"Yes take it easy, besides I'm not alone," said Rosaline pointed to two other employees who were chatting with customers.
"Good then's. I'm leaving then."
The 'tring' sound from the cafe bell rang as the door opened. Rosalyn. The girl remained standing by the barista table waving her hand as she watched Daniel leave from there.
"Where are you going?"
Rosaline gasped as the female employee suddenly appeared behind her speaking. "Oh he went to check the supplies. He said our buttercream was up, "Rosaline replied as she looked at the girl's name which read 'Reina'.
The female employee named Reina shriveled in surprise. "Butterclream? I remember we just made it yesterday."
"Eitherway. Maybe he meant the ingredients to make it?"
"Maybe."
The chatter of the two instantly came to a halt as the cafe bell rang and a blond man walked in. Rosalyn. He stood there like a statue, staring long ago at the new customer.
"Welcome to little latte espresso."
She gasped as Reina —the female employee next to her— uttered the sentence she should say every time a new customer comes along. Oh my god, he fucked it up.
The blond customer stared at the two of them flat before focusing his gaze towards the wooden frame beside them.
Before Rosaline could explain, the blond man had already cut her off and said, "two americano and two honey waffles."
Rosaline nodded and wrote quickly, gave the note to Reina and immediately prepared her order, while the blonde sat at an empty table and played her phone.
Rosaline found herself occasionally looking towards the man, amazed by his appearance. Her platinum golden hair was quite long, thus covering her forehead and almost covering her eyes as well.
Rosalyn. He could not deny how attractive the man was now, even though his aristocratic face looked extremely cold.
"Stop looking at him. I know he's handsome but we have to be professional. So get back to work, "reina scolded and made Rosaline cluck.
Rosaline vehemently ignored her curious turmoil and refocused herself on her work. Shortly thereafter, two americano and two honey waffles were finally served.
Reina shrewdly wrapped the order then called the blond man and handed it to him. The man handed him a lump of paper money and then left.
"Thank you" they both said, bowing as the man left the cafe.
"I think I've seen that man's face. But I don't remember where."
Rosaline turned her attention, looked at the man as she got into her car, and chuckled when she found a young woman sitting in the passenger seat. Right next to him.
"Maybe he's an artist" replied Rosaline not knowing that the figure continued to haunt her mind.
