...CHAPTRE 29...
...CHAINED...
Rosaline knew this would be a disaster. So, she just stood behind like a statue, silently pretending not to be alive, as she watched Kaylie and Clark snort each other.
The view and atmosphere between the two were like a black cloud where thunder struck, plus the cold air tonight which made the temperature around them slowly decrease. It's very painful if you want to
Rosaline described the situation now.
He stole a glance towards James and also the brown-haired girl beside him. Who her? Inner Rosaline. He's seen it three times. First, in the little latte espresso, second in the Westgate, and now here.
How could James bring his affair to Clark's front. Was he not afraid that Clark would get mad at him? With a single jolt of reality, Rosaline immediately shook her head. Why is he thinking about it? That's none of his business!
"What the fuck? Why are you two here?" Kaylie said, annoyed.
Clark grunting. "It's Christmas, you idiot. And who are you? Dare to rule my existence, huh? What a peasant!"
Rosaline once again glanced towards James and the brown-haired girl. They were just silent, standing like statues exactly that Rosaline did a few minutes ago.
They seemed less bothered by Clark and Kaylie's quarrel in the crowd, but not with Rosaline. It seemed, he was the only person who cared about the quarrel. He did not want to be the target of everyone's attention there.
Rosaline patted Kaylie on the shoulder. "Come, Kaylie. We came here to celebrate Christmas, not fight with it" whispered Rosaline.
Kaylie simply nodded, but she did not give any response after that. He did not move his legs to leave, did not take his eyes off, but rather he threw a cynical look at Clark who was spouting harsh words at him.
"Kaylie," Call Rosaline, again.
Kaylie simply frowned before she groaned and made Rosaline sigh in relief. Finally, Kaylie turned around and prepared to leave from there. But, for God's sake, Clark with his arrogance came back to speak.
"Oh, I didn't realize this. Two lowly people become friends. Very well deserved."
She clapped her hands, but Rosaline just rolled her eyes lazily, not wanting to care about it. But, unfortunately, Kaylie once again flashed a cynical look and said,
"Fuck, get away from here. You're making me sick!"
Clark grinned. "If I don't want to?"
Kaylie rolled her eyes. "You want me to throw you another book, huh? But this time I don't have a book, but it looks like this sauce is perfect for making your red hair redder."
Yes, Kaylie was only joking but rosaline could hear the sarcasm in her voice, and it seemed to be taken seriously by Clark. Look how red his face is now. Not sure if it was due to the cold weather around or the heat of his temper.
Well, whatever, don't pay too much attention to that. Just watch the brown-haired girl beside James who only grinned as Kaylie hurled sarcasm at Clark. As if in silence he supported Kaylie's action.
"How dare you talk to me like that? You know who I am, show me some respect, you son of a bitch!" Clark screamed and Kaylie just rolled her eyes.
"Silence, everyone knows who you are. No need to tell me about it again and again, because I'm sick of hearing it. If you want me to respect you, you have to earn that respect yourself. Tell me that you deserve my respect."
Clark crossed his arms. "Hell. I'm not begging for it, but you."
"For what? Your respect? Heh, I don't need it. Fuck yourself, damn it."
Clark's eyes immediately filled with anger and Rosaline knew she was ready to explode. But before that, Rosaline could not hide her shock as the brunettes walked forward and stood in their midst and said.
"Stop right there, my dear. I know you'd love to hit this girl, but not here. It's too crowded here, maybe in a quiet place it's safer, because no one will notice you."
For the first time Rosaline heard James snarl. The blond man stared intently at the woman he had called Oliver just now, as if with a glare of his sharp eyes it could kill Oliver on the spot.
"Shut up, James. You two are the same. I'm sick of being with you for a long time."
Oh what is this? Inner Rosaline. A fight in front of James' real girlfriend? How interesting!
"Don't interfere with this, Oliver! You're just a bully! Why are you coming with us to this Christmas party anyway, huh? Did you know you were such a nuisance. Shit, shit!"
The woman named Oliver snorted. "Oh, you shut up Clark. Don't ruin Christmas Eve with your spoiled childish behavior."
Rosaline felt someone pat her on the shoulder as she watched the altercation between Oliver and Clark. When he turned around, he found Kaylie gesturing him to leave now while the third attention was diverted.
With a nod in response, Rosaline agreed. In an instant they dashed into the crowd, the figures of Clark as well as Oliver and James instantly disappeared from view. The three of them were no longer visible. What a relief.
"Ugh— next time I see him again, I'll hit him in the head with a book."
Rosaline just chuckled. He handed over the strawberry cake that Kaylie had ordered earlier and the girl ate it while groaning. Cussing at a shitty incident just now.
"When it's Christmas Eve, I think I can take my stress off for a while. But, ugh— why did we even meet him? My mood's ruined!" Omel Kaylie, while occasionally biting his strawberry cake.
"Maybe we're unlucky" Timpal Rosaline and Kaylie just snorted.
Just then, Rosaline felt her phone vibrate in her pocket. Then he pulled out his phone from there and looked at it, staring straight at the Reagan number that appeared on his screen right now.
"[Where are you?]" He said to the point.
Rosaline looked around, sweeping a glance before replying, "we are inside the market
Leicester square's. Where are you, Reggie?"
"[Tell me the details of where you two are now]"
"We're under a tree."
"[Don't wander around stay there, I'll catch up]"
After that, the call ended and within five minutes Reagan had already found them. The two girls stood under the tree while enjoying the food. In a hurry, he dashed towards them, regrouping.
"Where are you from? Don't suddenly disappear like that" Omel Rosaline.
"Where are you from? Don't suddenly disappear like that, I thought you were lost."
Reagan raised his eyebrows. "Looks like you need a mirror, kid. You're the one who's always lost, you lost child" Reagan sneered.
Rosaline pursed her lips while handing the paperbag to her twin sister. The man looked at her first then then nodded, thanking her in silence as he saw the two chocolate muffins inside the paperbag.
"What's wrong with her?" Reagan whispered, glancing towards Kaylie who was eating her food while occasionally grumbling.
"As always, the golden money," replied Rosaline sighing.
Reagan made an o with his mouth and said, "it looks like your lives will never escape them. It is as if there is a chain connecting. Whether it's shackles or it's fate that binds."
