...CHAPTRE 1...
...THE ROAD TO ENGLAND...
"English?!"
Julian widened his eyes wide looking at Rosaline and Reagan who were avoiding eye contact with him. He snatched the letter in the hands of the two twin brothers and then read it.
"Westminster University" Julian said, reading a bold letter on the letterhead before focusing his gaze on the two of them who still loyally ignored him.
Julian's attention refocused on the letter in his hand as his brownish iris moved quickly to the right and left. Reading every sentence in the letter in detail as if not want to leave the slightest detail there.
He again turned his gaze toward the two twins he had nurtured for over a decade with a demanding gaze, telling the two of them to explain the intent of the letter.
"Explain this right away!" Indict her. Its icy intonation made the twins goosebumps in silence.
Rosaline, who now lowered her head glanced at Reagan who had already looked at him first. The two brothers pointed at each other towards the older man in front of them with their chins, as if telling one of them to explain.
With a hiss coming out of Rosaline, the older brother, Reagan, finally relented. He lifted his head, venturing to look at Julian who was now leaning against the wall behind him with both hands crossed in front of his chest.
His gaze pierced, looking at Reagan intensely waiting for him to open his mouth and explain what he had missed all along.
"A few weeks ago Rosie and I took the entrance test to a foreign university and we chose the University of Westminster in London, England. Rosie chose architecture and development and I chose business."
Reagan felt his fur on his back standing. He slowly turned his head towards the younger sister, Rosaline, sending a signal asking for help through her agitated eye movements.
"Ah and the good news we received with the highest score there," continued Rosaline with bland puckishness at the end of her sentence.
The two twin brothers froze when Julian suddenly threw his body onto the sofa of the house as the man tapped his finger against the surface of the table. Oh lord. It's been more than a decade since their meeting and Julian is still very intimidating.
Not daring to look at Julian for long, Rosaline and Reagan lowered their heads, looking at the nano of the house sandals they were wearing now.
"Well, I'm glad you're accepted to a foreign university, let alone the highest grades, but why the UK?" He frowned, giving the two of them a questioning look.
Rosaline and Reagan cengo. They both raised their eyebrows when Julian asked why England should.
"What if England?" Rosaline asked. He turned to face his twin brother who was also looking at Julian, as if questioning the intent of the man's words just now.
"Yes anyway we won't be gone long. Only a few years after that we'll be home" Reagan added, trying to convince the grown men who had been taking care of them all along.
The two were shocked as Julian let out a rough snort. The man rubbed his mullet hair that he had been neatly groomed for hours until it fell apart.
"I know, but—" he was cut off.
His eyes moved uneasily as if looking for the right word for him to spew at the two twin brothers. He put his hands together as a chin.
Now Julian is thinking hard, can be proven by the veins that appear on his temple. He was eager to tell the two of them the real reason. The reason why he didn't want them to go to England.
But, thanks to a promise he made with the dead fucking man, Julian, with a long sigh he undoes his intentions.
After the long pause he gave, Julian finally said an excuse that he thought was a bit silly for an adult like him, but he was convinced. That reason must have succeeded in making the two brothers believe it or perhaps worse laugh at it.
Rosaline and Reagan turned their heads to exchange glances, coinciding with a wide smile that also puffed up on their faces. So that's why Julian didn't agree to them going to England? Because it's too far? That big smile turned into a grin.
"So you're banning us to England because it's too far?" Rosaline said in a slightly mocking tone.
"And what was that? Are you worried about us? You sure you're okay?" Reagan chimed in with eyes as if in disbelief, even though he was mocking him through the plot.
"We're not kids anymore, Julian," they said.
A moment of the atmosphere that had been gripping turned warm as the two twin brothers laughed out loud. Julian. Frowning him, he already knew that this was going to happen. So he simply leaned his back against the back of the sofa while occasionally muttering curses for the two brothers.
"Just calm. We will definitely send you a letter every weekend," Rosaline said with a big smile on her face.
"No letter, it's too old-fashioned. Why not just use your phone to call? The age is sophisticated, Rosie," sneered Reagan and only given a whimper by Rosaline.
Julian let out a long sigh as the two twin boys suddenly had a fight fussing over a letter or cell phone to update him later.
So this is what they call not a kid anymore? Ask in the heart. Coinciding with the breath coming out of his mouth. Julian stood up from where he was sitting and walked up to the two of them.
He patted Rosaline and Reagan's shoulders together, pulled the two away, and immediately commented on the menacing smile that told them to stop, even though he himself liked to see the ridiculous quarrels they both had.
It was like watching a free theater.
"I still disagree with you going to England. But even if I forbid, you two will definitely leave, right?" Julian looked at the two in turn.
"Of course!" Answer them together.
Julian smiled blandly with twitching eyes. After all he knew very well the temperament of these two twin brothers in front of him. It had been more than a decade that she nurtured them like her own child and it was no longer possible for her to not understand the short way they both thought.
Even though he forbids. They both will leave.
"Then never mention your surname or my surname. Never mention Vreaa or Torres. Remember that!"
The warning was given a nod by Rosaline and Reagan. They knew what had happened to Julian and their father in England to the point that they were both thrown in jail. They were both stupid friends. They love to steal in their youth.
Of course Rosaline and Reagan understood. Surely Julian didn't want them both to get into trouble or be looked upon badly by the people there because of their surnames.
"Yes we know that," Timpal Reagan, "just calm down. I can guarantee you both won't make trouble there."
"So may, right, we go to England?" Rosaline asked. The sparkling eyes the woman showed almost made Julian say yes.
"If you want me to agree, you'll have to do my warning. Never mention your surname and never make trouble there. Understand?"
With a quick nod from Rosaline and Reagan. Julian tried as hard as he could to smile gently even though in the end there was only a groove of strange smiles coming out of him.
Oh, that's it, he thought. They both will not be alone. He had an acquaintance who could keep an eye on them while there.
