The Continent of Europe
Chapter 12's

...CHAPTRE 12...

...ASHER...

"Surge, nerd!"

Rosaline. He was silent to watch Clark deliberately nudge the shoulder of a woman standing in their way, making the books in the woman's arms fall to the floor.

"You?!" Excited Clark.

Rosaline shriveled in surprise at Clark's reaction which widened her eyes as soon as she saw the woman's face.

Curious. Rosaline moved forward a few steps just to look at the woman's face. He immediately sighed resignedly and smiled blandly when he found out who this woman before him was.

That chick. The teary-eyed woman Rosaline met at the end of the corridor.

He massaged his forehead slowly to coincide with the dizziness that instantly hit his head. It was only a few days before she met Clark and dealt with him.

And now he's dealing with Clark back. Oh lord. How unfortunate the fate of the woman was to have to deal with Clark repeatedly.

Rosaline glanced at Clark who was now emitting a flash of deep fury from her eyes. It felt like he could imagine a horn appearing above Clark's head as white smoke came out of his nose.

Just like a bull, he thought.

"Who is Clark?" Rosaline asked. He blinked his eyes sideways at the bespectacled woman, telling her to pretend not to know each other.

"A peasant who's gonna ruined my day," she sneered, rolling her eyes lazily.

Rosaline turned her attention towards the woman's glasses covered in white duct tape, as she crouched down to collect her books again.

With a turbulent humanity in her heart, Rosaline took the initiative to help the woman.

Just a few inches away he bent his body, his good intentions instantly halting coinciding with Clark's hands suddenly holding him back and casting a piercing gaze at him.

"Don't you dare help that peasant, Rosaline!" Keto.

Rosaline frowned in surprise, looking at Clark with a puzzled look. "Why?" Plain asking.

He stared long at Clark who was still glaring at him before turning his attention to the bespectacled girl nearby, who was busy tidying up his book. Then look at Clark again.

"Because a lowly person doesn't seem to deserve help," Clark replied coldly. He turned his attention towards the bespectacled woman, looking down at her exactly like a king who was blinded by power.

Rosalyn. The frown on the girl's forehead was getting more and more obvious. "What do you mean inappropriate? And why do you call him 'low people'? Did you know how rude that word is?"

Her emerald iris softened, staring at Clark and the glasses woman alternately. Rosaline gasped as Clark suddenly threw out his hand and smiled cunningly at her.

"Rude?" Clark laughs. He crossed his arms to the front of his chest, not bothering to answer Rosaline's question, "of course not. He deserves to call it that" he quipped, then returned laughing.

"Whatever? No one deserves to be called that Clark."

Rosaline raised her gaze only to find Clark looking down at her.

"If you forget I'm the golden money, Rosaline, and the commoners who received the scholarship don't seem like anything in front of me."

"Even if you're the son of a member of the golden money. Not that you can call them commoners or lowly people. We're all the same, Clark," replied Rosaline.

He noticed the cynical look Clark gave as he helped the woman nearby collect her books on the floor, but Rosaline ignored him.

"You have to apologize to her, Clark," Rosaline ordered.

Just for a moment Rosaline wanted to continue her words after she felt there was no response from Clark. He felt a gentle pull on the end of his pants. Then Rosaline lowered her head, looking at the woman who was shaking her head.

As if telling him to stop talking.

"I'm sorry," the woman said and made Rosaline shrivel in wonder.

It should be Clark who apologized, not him. It was Clark who pushed his shoulders first to make all his books fall and even worse Clark called him a lowly man. Rude words he shouldn't have said.

"I'm sorry for blocking your way" he said. He bowed his body apologetically before running leaving the two of them alone in the corridor.

Rosaline turned towards Clark. "You should apologize padany—"

"I don't like you attitude, Rosaline," Clark said, "I'd hate it if anyone ruled or fought me. No matter who they are. Want him my own friend or family, I don't care. I won't hesitate to make them pay for being against me."

"But this time, I'm sorry."

He stomped his feet away leaving Rosaline still frozen in place. He glanced at a student identity card lying not far from him and then picked it up.

"So her name is Asher? Well I'll give it back when I see him again" he muttered reading the identity card that turned out to belong to the glasses woman.

...•—— ✿ ——•...

The same day, after Rosaline decides to shy away from Clark temporarily, she walks into the library. The girl pulled a hard-covered book after staring at the bookshelf for a long time, then sat herself down at the library seat.

He turned every page of the book and read it carefully. Rosaline has been searching for Asher. But unfortunately, the woman in glasses never showed her nose.

Even after Rosaline bothered to wait for him in front of her class just to give her her identity card.

Rosaline turned her attention away from the book she was reading when a woman suddenly sat before her. He noticed the woman wearing headphones. His long black hair fell down and almost covered his entire face.

When the woman slipped a few strands of her hair into her ears, Rosaline felt deja-vu. I don't know why Rosaline thinks she's seen him, but she doesn't know where.

Rosaline stared at the book the woman was reading and she was wide-eyed. His eyes immediately bulged wide with pupils of agitated moving eyes and a horror facial expression.

Over there. It says 'How to deal with a bully' in front of the cover page. Rosaline. His mind wondered if the woman was also bullied just like Asher.

Rosaline frowned again. He wanted to get the woman in front of him to talk, just asking who had bullied him. But his intention stopped just as he realized that he would not be able to do anything.

He won't be able to help her.

What if the woman was in a different faculty to him? What if the woman is a scholarship student? Clark would've laughed at her or even worse off against her.

He would definitely do the same to her, just like he did to Asher. And Rosaline didn't want that to happen.
