The Continent of Europe
Chapter 33

...CHAPTRE 33...

...MR. PERFECTIONISTS...

Rosaline sharpened her pencil, gently tossing the wooden sharpener into the trash. He stood up, stretched his back and looked out the window. The smell of rain filled the air, mixed with the scent of plants and soil.

He scrunched his nose. Remembering her younger self used to really like going out in the rain. But all that stopped when maturity hit his life and forced him not to act like a child anymore.

He missed his childhood at the time. Although not always happy but still, he misses her.

Rosaline looked at the wide paper on her desk, noticing a rough sketch drawn there. Now, he was working on the design for their project. Yeah, a project where he has to pair with

James Orion Adler's.

It had been three days since she had to work with the blond man and Rosaline knew how possessive the man was towards perfection. For example, how many times Rosaline had to change the design she made because of the man.

Lots of uncomfortable comments always come out of his lips every time Rosaline shows the results of her building design. Well, she doesn't mind. Maybe with bad comments it can make Rosaline better.

Sighing in a sigh of resignation, Rosaline decided to take a break, refreshing her mind for a moment. He opened the door of his room, looked around before twitching his forehead as he heard a noise from downstairs.

Curious, he slowly walked down the stairs looking for a figure who made a commotion down there. As soon as he arrived on the first floor, his eyes saw Reagan and Kaylie debating something.

Near the two of them were numerous batches of crumpled paper and were in a trash can near where Reagan was sitting. Curious, Rosaline approached, sitting on the middle floor between the two of them.

"What are you doing there?" Reagan. "Sit here, not on the floor," he ordered as he placed his hand on the chair beside him. He ordered the girl to sit on a chair, not on the floor.

With a clucking tongue Rosaline stood up, walked over to it and sat down beside her twin sister. From over the shoulder of the twin, Rosaline peered at the paper on Kaylie's lap.

Oh, it looks like a design issue. After all, from the beginning of the project from Westminster, it aims to help companies build new buildings. With students from business faculty who can see the opportunities and students of architecture faculty who will design their buildings.

Fits great.

"Tell your sister, Rosaline, making the design of the building wasn't as easy as she thought. How can the old man always comment on everything I draw, shit, don't mess with my little brain."

"Then take this seriously Kaylie. Don't mess with the design. Get it done quickly and then we can hand the design over to that damn client. Ah shit, I don't know why I want to burn his company down."

Rosaline chuckles. He seems to understand their problem. If he gets a partner who is possessive in perfection then they get clients who are possessive of the same thing. Well, they're one fate but different situations.

"Okeh stop, I can't think anymore" Kaylie said resignedly as she placed the paper on the table. He leaned his shoulders and massaged his head dizzy. "It looks like my brain will stop working forever if I force it now."

"Do you want coffee or something sweet?

Maybe I can ask Daniel," Rosaline offered, get ready to get up. The girl's movements came to a quick halt as Kaylie spoke.

"No need Rosaline, I don't have a problem. Just sit. I want to ask you something."

Rosaline raised an eyebrow, looking at the girl who was pulling Reagan away so she could sit beside him.

"Who's your partner? I know it's late, but I'm curious. You haven't told me anything since our project started three days ago."

Rosaline groaned, muttering to herself about her misfortune. He didn't want anyone to know who his partner was in this project, be it Kaylie or even Reagan.

"Well, someone you could never imagine," he hesitated and looked away, not daring to look Kaylie in the eye.

Kaylie sighed, her fingers pinched the trunk of her nose. He could not help but hope that most likely his thoughts at that moment were wrong. But, shit, he didn't know why his mind looked so real.

"Don't tell me, the golden money? James Orion Adler?" Investigating her and Rosaline just nodded small.

"For God's sake, Rosaline, why did you pair up with her?!" Kaylie nagged, raising her voice in an angry tone.

Rosaline just shrugged her shoulders in response because she also did not know why God had paired her with the man. He hates it, but destiny says something else. God likes to torture her.

"I don't know either, Kaylie. It just happened without warning and I can't even deny it."

Frustrated groans filled the room as the two fingers of the girl pinched the base of their noses simultaneously. They looked exhausted while Reagan looked only at his nails and shrugged his small shoulders and spoke.

"So how does it feel to work with that guy?" Ask.

Rosaline scrunched her nose. "Yerst!" He replied, closing his eyes as his head shook resignedly.

Kaylie grunts. "What did he do to you?"

"Nothing special actually. He's just acting like your client. Always comment on the designs I make. Very chatty. I hate the perfectionist nature in him."

Kaylie sneered. "Does everyone from the business faculty always have to be a perfectionist? Ughhhh..."

Although Reagan was not facing him now, he could feel the girl rolling her eyes lazily towards him. He knew Kaylie was sneering at him.

"Shut up, Kaylie. All this is in the interest of the client. Everyone wants to be perfect too. I'm sure, you architecture boys must have done a perfect calculation of the construction of the building, so the building can stand perfectly."

Kaylie rolled her eyes once more, mocking the 'perfect' word Reagan said. "Yes, of course we do. But at least, can they keep their mouths shut until we finish the design? After that they can judge it as much as they want."

The three of them sighed, dropping their bodies onto the sofa. They pressed each other's fingers against each other's foreheads, massaging them gently.

"If it wasn't for value, I wouldn't have joined this stupid project" Kaylie snorted.

"Again" the twins answered

unison.

Again, the three of them breathed heavily. They don't even realize there's a man watching them from afar, it's Daniel. The man walked closer.

"Are you guys okay?" She asked.

They looked and nodded slowly. Daniel chuckled, looking at the three of them who were exhausted on his sofa. "Don't worry, just finish your project as soon as possible and then you can be free."

"Yes, not until we have to make a report after the project is over."

With that, the four of them sighed heavily together.
