The Continent of Europe
Chapter 13

...CHAPTRE 13...

...THE THREAT'S...

"You're avoiding me?"

Rosaline turned to look towards Clark who was sitting next to her. He shook his head quickly and said, "what a foolish question, Clark. I'm not avoiding you at all."

Clark squinted his eyes looking sinisterly at Rosaline. "really? Well I realize you haven't noticed me lately."

Rosaline took a long breath. He handed Clark the book he had read and told the girl to read it.

"You know for yourself what Professor Watson looks like. His job is nothing easy. You know for yourself, don't you know how hard it is to create visual animations? My brain wants to explode" Eluh Rosaline.

"So you've been avoiding me for two more weeks because of her job?" Inquiringly.

"Oh my god, when will I tell you this. Listen, Clark, I'm not avoiding you at all. It's just your negative feelings."

He massaged his head to look dizzy even though in his heart he breathed a sigh of relief. It's good that Clark finally believed what he said just now.

Well. Ever since Clark threatened her, Rosaline couldn't lie to herself if she was avoiding Clark. Even so he could not show it blatantly.

Rosaline grabbed the book in Clark's hand and read it again, ignoring Clark's figure playing with his curly hair humming.

"You know? I could have my father report it to the education board to have his teaching license revoked. That way we won't get any assignments from him anymore."

Rosaline looked at him horror, her teeth pressing down hard to make her jaw line harden.

"Don. Even. Thinks. About. It. Clark. Although professor Watson often gave me many assignments and detentions, I still wanted to graduate from Westminster with the best grades in the eyes of his college," Rosaline said.

Clark snorted, his eyes glancing lazily upwards. "I can buy it. Values like this are easy to play with."

"For people like you, of course, but not with us. After graduating from here, you will definitely continue your family business. While we have to fight hard to get on with life."

"You can work as my personal assistant" bargained Clark and Rosaline immediately made a cross with her hands in front of her chest.

The girl nodded quickly. Rosaline swore she could hear the sound of bone snapping around her neck. "I want to be a renowned architect, not a personal assistant" he replied with an awkward laugh.

He subconsciously scratched his completely non-itchy head, slowly moving his eyes the other way only to avoid Clark's demanding probing gaze.

"Well then you can be the personal architect of my family's company. Don't worry, we'll pay you ten times what a regular architect does."

Rosaline immediately put on a bland smile. In his heart he screamed. It felt like she was dying to have Clark's mouth talking about her family's wealth. Well not the envy he felt, but the laziness that had been blindly in his heart.

"Yes, yes, let's the fate take control of it," replied Rosaline he turned a new page on her book and read it.

"I don't like the way those lowly people look at me."

"What?" Rosaline asked.

Clark pointed towards the male student who was standing far away from them. His gaze was slightly cynical, the frown on his forehead was clearly visible, and his lips were pursed.

Rosaline rolled her eyes lazily and then refocused with the reading book in her hand, trying to ignore Clark's existence for a moment. However, only a few minutes passed, his focus was again split and the girl next to him spoke again.

"Did they forget, huh, who am I? I'm the son of a member of the golden money. My degrees are higher than all of them. You lowly man."

This time Rosaline paid attention to Clark. The corner of the girl's lips lifted, showing an expression of dislike. "You need to stop calling them that."

"Why? They worth it."

"No! I told you no one deserves to be called like that? Even if that person is inferior to you."

Clark hissing. Rosaline again gasped at Clark's suddenly darkened eyes.

"And I told you, don't I like it the most if someone rules or fights me?" He looked at her cynically, "no matter who they were. Whether it's my own friends or family, I don't care. I won't hesitate to make them pay for being against me."

Rosaline smiled blandly. He remembered Clark's words back then. Deja-vu.

Just before Rosaline replied to Clark. Both of them immediately paid their attention towards the corridor as a shrill hysterical scream burst into their ears at the same time.

The two women looked at each other for a moment before Clark put on an angry expression and did not like it, while Rosaline could only smile.

Over there. James Orion Adler stood and was surrounded by a crowd of women nearby. The man's face was flat but his eyes looked at the nearby crowd sinisterly, cold as ice.

Rosaline looked at Clark as the girl stood up and walked towards James. He'd rather sit still on the spot than follow Clark. Well he didn't want to get involved with the quarrel Clark was going to create there.

"Surge!" Clark exclaims. His voice echoed, even Rosaline who was far away from them could hear him.

Clark waved his hand making a gesture of expulsion. The women surrounding James moved away.

"What is your business with my lover?"

The women simultaneously frowned and clucked in dislike, right after Clark with his message wrapped his hand around James's arm and twitched spoiled there.

Rosalyn. Those who looked at them from a distance could only sigh. Honestly, the romantic relationship between Clark and James is no longer a secret, but has become a common consumption.

Whether it's in Westminster or even all over the UK and the world.

"Yes. Sure oes. The golden money's. How could I forget about him and think only Clark is famous here" Rosaline chuckled. He closed the book he was reading and placed it beside his body.

He leaned his back against the back of the chair staring straight at Clark who was now twitching like a bird. His head immediately remembered James. About the man who was with another woman at Westgate.

Rosaline hesitates. Should he tell Clark that he saw James with another woman at the time? He was one hundred percent sure that the woman wasn't Clark. Remembering the woman's hair was light brown while Clark was maroon red.

"Should it?" He asked himself before chuckling incisively and swinging his hand into the air, "no, no. Not now. I don't want to be involved in their romance drama."

Rosaline sighed. He knows. How hard he tried, it was likely that he would be spared any problems that he might encounter in the future because of the two couples.

But at least not today. He's not ready to face it.
