...CHAPTRE 21...
...RUNNING FROM REALITY ...
After an unexpected encounter with Kaylie, Daniel suggests stopping by a cafe close to Foster books, so that the two girls can talk freely without any interference from him.
Daniel went straight to the barista table, ordered coffee and also something sweet for them to eat while chatting. He put his order to the table of Rosaline and Kaylie, and then left, sitting on the other side and far away from the two of them.
He chose a table close to the baristas, then sat there and did not let a single glance of his eyes slip from the two girls who were now talking with a soft, filling laugh.
She smiles. I found Rosaline happy again. Unlike before where the girl looked like an undead, with a flat expression without a smile on her face, and dark circles around her eyes.
"Well she looks okay now" he muttered and smiled broadly as he saw the girl named Kaylie staring at him before conversing with the baristas.
"Is he your dad?"
Rosaline stuffed a spoonful of ice cream into her mouth while placing her eyes in the direction Kaylie pointed, where Daniel was looking at them before turning his eyes and talking to the baristas nearby.
"No," replied Rosaline quickly, "she's my family."
"Uncle?" Ask.
"yeah. Kind of."
"He's handsome."
Rosaline grinned. Yep. He agreed with Kaylie's words just now. However, the three-headed Daniel, like Julian, still emanated an aura of good looks.
Either from his face or body. Yep, Rosaline doesn't deny it.
"Can't denied it," Rosaline replied in a giggle.
Rosaline put her finished ice cream on the table and grabbed a piece of tissue. He wiped his mouth with it when he realized there was ice cream left at the tip of his lips and then crushed it, throwing it into his ice cream container earlier.
"As long as I'm not there, is he still bothering the glasses lady?"
Rosaline made a hesitant voice when she found out who Kaylie meant. Of course Clark and Asher. Who else if not the two of them he meant.
If Rosaline tells Kaylie that Clark is still troubling Asher with his stupid golden money title, will Kaylie's anger explode? Even after their quarrel Clark neither studied nor stopped.
Rosaline chose to be ordinary, trying as hard as possible to relax her shoulders that did not know when it had stiffened in nervousness. He took a deep breath and exhaled it.
"Well. You must know how stubborn and arrogant he is. After your quarrel he never even learned or stopped bothering Asher. He still does it."
Kaylie grunts. I'm not surprised about that anymore. It seems that throwing the woman with the book yesterday is not the right choice, because it is less effective to make her small brain work.
Maybe next time Kaylie will throw it with another heavy object.
Kaylie shook her head, presumably after her suspension was over she would again make trouble with the damn golden money. Let him drop out all the important things he won't see her again.
Kaylie really hates that woman.
"You know, you have to fight it once in a while. Don't just shut up. You know that his actions were wrong, you should have stopped him as a friend."
"I've tried it, but— I don't know, it doesn't seem to work."
"If it doesn't work out secretly, it means you have to do it blatantly."
Rosaline bit her nails in doubt and shook her head. "I'm not like you, Kaylie. I don't have the courage to do it."
"I know you're brave. You just don't want to do it."
Kaylie's words at the cafe made Rosaline think. Is it true that he doesn't want to do it? No. gabe. No. gabe.
Rosaline really wanted to go against Clark just that she didn't have the courage. Not not want to do it.
"Do you think I'm a coward?"
"Very."
Rosaline scowling. He throws Reagan with a pillow nearby before leaning his head against the shoulder of the twin. He let out a heavy sigh and wondered what would happen if he fought Clark later.
What was Clark's threat when it was going to happen? Or maybe the threat is just a joke? Well I don't know. He cannot predict the future. But it's not his fault, is it, that he's careful? At least he should be vigilant.
"I hate to see it."
Reagan who was chewing gum glanced at Rosaline. He looked at the head of Brunette in confusion. "What do you hate?" Ask.
"Clark. I hate to see her act."
"Oh the golden money?"
Rosaline nodded.
"Then tell him to stop."
"How is it?"
"Do like that woman named Kaylie. Throw him with a book or other heavy object. Let the golden money lose its memory."
Rosaline rolled her eyes lazily. "I'm not a bar-bar girl like her, Reggie."
"Yes, yeah, yeah, I know you're a coward."
Reagan was still staring at his twin brother as the girl raised her head from his shoulder. Rosaline clenched her lips tightly and her eyes emitted a strong uneasiness.
Reagan, he could only sigh tiredly. For a few weeks he found his brother constantly agitated. Is it because her mind is still disturbed by the woman named Kaylie whom she was telling her at the time? Did something happen to Kaylie?
But if Reagan asks about the girl, he's afraid Rosaline's mind is branched out. In the head of the girl could add a lot of thoughts and the worst possibility that could have been faced by Reagan was that Rosaline was sick.
Even though he seemed unconcerned, he actually cared about the younger brother who was only a few minutes away from him. But alas, the prestige in his heart was higher than that of his sincere heart. So, it was better for Reagan to watch his sister secretly.
"What about Kaylie? Is she okay?"
Not knowing what else to say to encourage the girl, Reagan finally chose to ask. To be honest, he was curious about Kaylie's figure told by Rosaline that night. There was a sense of interest and admiration in his heart as he heard the actions that Reagan might have underlined as reckless actions.
"He's fine. I met him at the bookstore this morning."
"Why don't you go to college?"
"Run from reality."
Reagan looked at him for a long time. He put down his phone which he was playing the game on and turned around, sitting facing Rosaline completely. He looked to the right and to the left, as if making sure it was just the two of them in the room.
"I don't know what to say, but if you want to get out of the golden money, you have to do something. Don't just shut up. Whatever the students say on campus after."
"What if I'm shunned and no one wants to be friends with me?"
"There certainly is. At least one of the thousands of students there, Rosie. You won't be alone."
