The Continent of Europe
Chapter 26's

...CHAPTRE 26...

...THE CYNICAL GAZE'S...

Rosaline knew how desperate she was now. I wish everything would be okay, but reality says something else. The situation is now, even in Westminster or elsewhere he can feel the tension.

Every time he walked, everyone's eyes were always on him with a cynical look. Well. Although he himself was not too bothered by it, but still. She doesn't like it.

"Disregard them, Rosaline. They're just parasites who love gossip."

Rosaline glanced at Kaylie who was holding the book beside her while growling. He knew that the girl was holding back his anger. Just look at the wrinkles that are coming out on his forehead right now. His eyes were cynical as if expelling all those who were whispering towards them.

"It's better that the kit goes now, the class will start in ten minutes" Rosaline said as she packed up her belongings.

Without hearing Kaylie's reply, Rosaline walked towards the passageway, ignoring Kaylie who was still confused. He could hear the footsteps of someone walking behind him and he was sure it was Kaylie.

The two of them stopped in front of the notice board where a pamphlet was attached. There was an old lull hanging over where neither of the two of them spoke.

Rosaline just stood still, staring at the dust grains on the thin glass of the notice board and not thinking about anything in particular.

"It looks like you're still the main topic of gossip here."

Rosaline nodded with a small smile on her face. He watched Kaylie as she pulled the pamphlet on the glass and tore it apart and threw it in the trash.

"Ignored theme. There's no point in taking care of them. The more you act like you care, the more they want to crushed you. So, ignore."

Then Kaylie turned around. Continuing their steps through the corridor and Rosaline followed him from behind.

"Maybe occasionally you should hit them like you did with the golden money."

Rosaline laughed at Kaylie's curse just now. "Don't joke, Kaylie. I just finished my suspension. How could I possibly be causing trouble again."

"Who knows, Rosaline. No one can read someone's mind. You could just get out of control and beat them up. What a barbarian girl you are."

Rosaline rolled her eyes lazily. He wanted to reply Kaylie with the same answer. Actually no one does not know her name now, Kaylie is already famous, just like Rosaline.

Perhaps if the two of them were friends now, there would definitely be many people calling them by the name of two barbarian girls. Considering both have hit the most respected member of the golden money, even by the British government.

As her feet climbed the stairs to the second floor, Rosaline regained consciousness. It turns out, it's not just the guys who are Clark fans who do it. But the women who hate Clark, too.

They both threw cynical gazes at him. It was as if he was the most disgusting creature on the face of the earth and did not deserve to live.

Yeah. Even being friends with Clark gets him used to it. Not that he likes it. Still is. She doesn't like it.

Which is fair, right? As long as Clark gained all the admiration, whereas he only received a cynical look. Isn't that unfair? They are both human. Only distinguished by the stupid caste in this world.

When they got to class, it turned out that professor Watson was already in it. The two inevitably put on a resigned expression, knowing that the detention of the professor would definitely approach the two of them afterwards.

With a lazy gesture, professor Watson told them to sit down. Rosaline and Kaylie walked in silence with limped steps, while glancing towards each other's pale skin where flowing anxious sweat.

Rosaline smiled awkwardly as the person in front of her handed the book over with a clucking tongue, as if forced to do so.

Well, he's not too bothered by that. He only focused on listening to Professor Watson, not caring about the eyes of everyone who occasionally glanced at him.

Professor Watson explained the lecture material, and Rosaline listened intently. He had no intention of turning away from the lesson, unlike the other students who didn't seem to really listen.

Until Watson's professorial class ends, the students leave one by one, leaving Rosaline and Kaylie with the struggling Professor Watson carrying his books.

Rosaline and Kaylie approached her slowly before offering professor Watson to bring the books.

Professor Watson simply stood there without saying anything before handing half the stack of books over to the two of them. She leads the way to her room, with Rosaline and Kaylie helping her in the back.

"So you're not friends with him anymore?"

Rosaline knew who Professor Watson meant. With his head down he replied, "yes. I think our friendship is over."

Professor Watson, who was walking in front of him, turned his head and found that the girl was bowing her head with her hand clutching the book. It seems he was nervous, thought professor Watson.

"Professor," Call Rosaline, "when Clark and I were in your room at the time, you said there was going to be a big project. What project do you mean? If it's been almost a month since our argument, it means next month the project is underway."

"Many companies work with Westminster. This project is only for the faculty of architecture and business. Each student will be sent in pairs to each company and perform their respective duties there. Think of it like an internship."

"Who's my partner?" Rosaline and Kaylie asked together.

"Secret."

That one word managed to make Rosaline and Kaylie pout. Professor Watson just glanced lazily at the annoyed expressions on the faces of the two girls. Which of course is for him. Who else if not him.

When their feet reached the corridor, professor Watson snorted. He cursed inwardly as the crowd of students were blocking the path of the three of them. With a sharp look in his eyes, professor Watson managed to push the crowd away, giving way for them to pass by.

He felt uneasy with the gazes of everyone there as his feet moved through the corridor. Usually every time he passed by, everyone always looked down in fear. But this time it's different.

Their eyes are locked. The three of them and Professor Watson knew who they were looking at. Yeah, of course you are. Who else if not these two bar-bar girls walking behind him.

"You're both famous" said Professor Watson.

Rosaline and Kaylie could only chuckle at the irritated tone in the professor's words. Well, they're not too bothered by that. They knew the situation would be like this, especially after the incident involving them with the golden money.

Really troublesome and annoying actually, but yes, with all the poker faces they put on the face. Whether Rosaline or Kaylie, they both try not to look like fools.

"Leave it, professor Watson. We don't care" Kaylie replies casually.

Professor Watson shriveled.

"Don't be too relaxed. I'm not sure everything will be okay after this. Especially the two of you. You guys have to be careful. She won't let go of you two easily. You know for yourself who he is. It may seem ordinary now, but who knows the way people think. Especially the golden money like that."
