...CHAPTER 42 ...

...A ROOM TOGETHER...

As predicted, a blizzard appeared within the next hour. Making Rosaline and Reagan inevitably trapped inside the inn building suggested by Mr. Allen for them to stay until the blizzard is over.

Now, the blond man who had come with him to Edinburgh was pacing around the lobby, looking desperate as a fine grunt came out of his little mouth. Rosaline could only sit quietly on the sofa, watching the man walking around.

"I'll remember this my whole life. Damn the old man. I know he must have done this on purpose."

If it wasn't for Mr. Allen who wanted to say something to the brand back then, the two of them would not be stuck in Edinburgh, let alone in the middle of a blizzard like this.

Rosaline sighed sadly, throwing her eyes out the window where the white snow was falling profusely. Before standing up and stomping his feet out of the building. Leaving James alone in there.

Rosaline stopped in front of the entrance of the inn, stuffed her hands into her coat pocket and looked around. His green emerald eyes watched every snow that fell heavily, piling all the streets.

"I have to tell Reagan or Daniel that I'm still in Edinburgh. I don't want them to worry about me."

Her tiny hand reached into her pocket, looking around for the flat object everyone called a cell phone. The girl typed in the name of the twin, then pressed the phone icon, and immediately Reagan's phone number appeared on her phone screen.

"[What? Where are you, you fucking kid? You almost drove Daniel crazy here!]"

Rosaline smiled. "You know, right, that it's a storm right now? I'm stuck here because of this goddamn storm!"

Rosaline combed her hair with her fingers, massaging her forehead gently as a dizzy feeling struck. Even though he was not facing the twin, Rosaline could feel Reagan rolling his eyes just to mock her.

"[Who with? The blonde? Pftt— is very unfortunate your fate.]"

Rosaline grunting. "Shut up, Reggie."

Rosaline pouted as she heard laughter from across the phone. Of course Reggie, he thought, who else if not that guy would laugh at him at a time like this.

"Come on Reggie, take this seriously. I'm trying to tell you and Daniel that I'm still in Edinburgh. So, tell Daniel that I'm fine here, still living in the same world as you two, so there's no need to worry."

"[So that golden money hasn't killed you yet? I thought he killed you when he found out how annoying you are, boy.]"

Rosaline was pouting again. He inhaled a deep breath and then exhaled it violently.

"Shut up oh my god. He's not gonna kill me. Damn you, Reggie, don't scare me!" The appeal did not accept.

Reagan chuckles. "[If something bad happens to you tell me immediately and let me know if the man is trying to hurt you. I'll kill him myself when you two get back here. Understood?]"

Rosaline as a reflex immediately nodded, even though she knew Reagan could not see her.

"Yes yes. I-i understand. Please tell Daniel not to worry about me, I'm fine here. When the storm's over, I'll be right back."

Afterwards, Rosaline could hear the sound of 'tut tut tut' as the call ended. He puts the phone back in his pocket and turns around, preparing to go back and meet James who might still be wandering around like a madman in the lobby.

"What are you doing out here?"

Rosaline gasped tensely as she caught a glimpse of someone's shadow in the darkness.

He bit his lower lip, gulping down his own saliva as fear crept through his body.

"What's? Why do you see me like that? I'm not a ghost, you idiot!"

From hearing her voice, Rosaline could deduce that the person in the darkness was a man. He walked closer, slowly, approaching the man.

When she stopped in front of him, Rosaline could see his platinum blonde hair, his gray eyes that shone in the darkness like a cat, and his facial expression. Flat as a board.

"Oh, it's just you. Damn it, you surprised me, Adler!" Rosaline exclaimed, pouting.

"What are you doing here?" She asked.

"Called my twin and told him I was still in Edinburgh, caught in the middle of a storm. By the way, you don't want to tell your family? I'm sure they're worried about you."

"They won't and I can't. My family doesn't care about me much. So, there's no point in telling them. They won't be looking for me."

Rosaline frowned. "At least tell them. They must be kha—."

James laughing. "They won't. Trust me."

"But—"

"Nothing but. Talk over! Let's go in."

And then, James quickly turned around, walked into the building again and Rosaline followed behind.

"There is bad news and good news. Which one do you want to hear first?"

"Good news!" Rosaline answered immediately.

James grunting. "Good news is we got a room here," James explained, raising and swinging his hand, showing the key to the inn he was holding.

"And the bad news?" rosaline asked, suddenly feeling uneasy when she saw one key in James' hand. He peeked into James's face which gave off an emotion he could not guess. Maybe a doubtful face?

"We only get one room, damn it!"

Rosaline's steps stopped, her eyes narrowed as she watched James walk straight up the stairs. He felt his heart beating very fast, his jaw falling and hands covering his mouth.

"WHAT?!" Rosaline's shout instantly drew everyone's attention towards her. "JAMES ORION ADLER! EXPLAIN THIS RIGHT NOW!"

"Damn it, don't shout my full name, fool!"

Rosaline fell silent. "But—"

"Hurry now! There's a lot of people here. I'll explain in the room later!"

Rosaline with a frightened face walked straight to James, ignoring everyone who was whispering towards him and James as they walked towards the inn room.

Clap up!!

The door closed, Rosaline's body leaning against the wall while James sat on the edge of the bed with his finger rubbing his hair in frustration. Rosaline looked at him uneasily, shifting her weight from one leg to the other.

"Uhm— care to explain?" Ask Rosaline hesitated.

"They said the room was full. It's the only thing they've got and the problem is the bed. I thought they had a twin bed but it turned out to be a single bed.

"I've asked them to contact another inn and the result is the same. All the lodging is full. If you want to move to a hotel, how? We don't have a vehicle and also because of this damn storm. So with a heavy heart I accept this room."

Suddenly Rosaline's head was instantly filled with bad thoughts. What if Clark or his family knew about this? They would instantly kill him with a shotgun on the spot and throw his body into the sea, giving his body to the fish as his food.

"I'll take the bed. You can take the couch."

"What's? How could you decide it like that? We're playing scissors, rocks, and paper now. Who wins, he can sleep on the bed!"

James rolled his eyes. "For your information, the cost of train tickets and this inn use my money. So it's worth it for me to get a bed. Ending the discussion, bye Smith!"

Rosaline opened her mouth to protest, but was cut off by a loud noise from the bathroom door as James closed it. Rosaline's eyes twitched, her hands clenched firmly as if wanting to punch anyone who nudged her.

"Based on crazy rich!"
