...CHAPTRE 60...
...THE VREAA CASE'S...
One week later.
Occasionally, Clark who was pacing around in his room gritted his teeth as a grunt of stress came out from his lips. The maroon-haired girl threw whatever was blocking her way by kicking her, no matter if it would break and make her room fall apart.
It's been a week since Clark asked his confidant to do a little background check on the Rosalines. He knew that Rosaline was not a native of England. That's why with the information he found, Clark will use it to blackmail Rosaline.
By blackmailing her, the girl would know not to play around with her anymore. It was embarrassing for a lowly like him to play around, especially with the golden money. The golden money caste is the highest. In harmony with the government. And Rosaline? Heh he's just a lowly.
Clark groaned loudly as he threw his body onto the sofa, lying there while his head looked up. He sighed, his fingers pinched the base of his nose as he combed his hair. Smoothed his forehead.
His eyes stared lazily at the details of the roof of his room. Beautiful, he thought. With some floral art and gold lines that blend in beautifully, it makes the room look more luxurious. He likes to be luxurious. Because the golden money is luxurious.
No one dared to oppose them.
Distracted by the loud knock from his door, Clark groaned as he sat up straight and shouted "get in!" To someone standing in front of his bedroom. He glanced, but did not turn his head, only to see a man in a black suit carrying something in his hand.
"Sit down!" Clark demanded and the man sat in front of him.
"It's been a week since I asked you to do a background check on the Rosalines and why haven't you told me anything yet? Can't you do your job well? You want me to make your family suffer? "
Instead of answering all of his employer's questions, the man simply placed a few envelopes on the table. They exchanged glances for a moment, before Clark decided on it first and noticed the envelope.
Slowly, he grabbed the envelope and opened it. Read it in silence.
Suddenly his eyes widened, glaring at the black-clothed man in front of him.
"The hell with this?" He shouted in shock and the man could only nod in response.
"This is the information I found Ms. Jenkins. Rosaline Mary Smith is not Rosaline Mary Smith. She is Rosaline Mary Vreaa. He has a twin brother and his name is Reagan Lucius Vreaa. They're in the same college as you, Westminster, but his twin brother's a business student. Like Mr. Adler."
Clark gaped, but by the time he realized something about the Vreaa family, he immediately covered his mouth and a wide grin spread across his face. He knows something related to the Vreaa family. The murder case was twenty-five years ago.
And if he can remember his father's explanation of the case when he was a kid. His father once said the head of the Vreaa family was a murderer. He spent five years in prison but was later released after being found lacking evidence.
Based on some information in the newspaper he had read, the head of the Vreaa family moved to another country and made a new family there. Well, that was great news for the time. Shortly after his release from prison, Vreaa's family was found dead in his home seven years later.
"From what I found out, the Vreaa family's death was murder. Not because they killed themselves, but murder."
Clark's eyes stared at the man in shock.
"After their parents died, their children were not found anywhere. Some say they're moving to another country again, but that's bullshit. They just moved into their other house that their parents had bought and for these few years they were taken care of by someone."
"Who?" ask Clark.
Clark almost choked on his own saliva the moment he heard the name. Julian Nolan Torres? He thinks. Why would the head of a notorious gangster in England care for an orphan like Rosaline and her twin brother? Very exciting!
"Give me all the information!" He demands.
"Yes, Miss Jenkins!"

It was already dark when Rosaline stepped onto the street, only lights from both sides of the road were shining on it. He continued walking until he saw a coffee shop.
In fact, he can always go straight home and drink coffee from little latte espresso aka handmade Daniel. However, something inside him did not let him just do it back then. Finally, Rosaline slowly walked up to the coffee shop and barged in.
He saw only a dozen people there waiting in line, waiting to get their coffee. So, like everyone else, he was also standing there. Wait patiently until the turn comes to order.
Rosaline stuffed her hand into her pocket as her emerald eyes wandered around. Look at all sides of the coffee shop. His gaze stopped as soon as he saw the television hanging above the coffee machine grab his attention.
"News? Fine let's see, what warm news today," he murmured softly.
The girl moved her weight from one leg to the other while staring long, intensely listening to the sounds along the television screen that aired the news channel.
For some reason, lately Rosaline is so concerned with the news that continues to be aired.
Especially the news about the golden money.
"Twenty-five years ago, England was shocked by a murder case involving the head of the Vreaa family."
Like being struck by lightning in broad daylight, Rosaline's body became stiff in place. He couldn't believe what he just heard. Whatisit? Twenty-five years ago? A murder case involving the Vreaa family? What the fuck?!
"Kasus was murder at the time, huh? I heard that after seven years of being released from prison, all members of the Vreaa family were found dead in their homes. I'm sure they were killed by the victims' families."
Rosaline sharpened her hearing again as the people around her began to speak.
"Yes. It's good they're all dead. Justice must be served!"
Unknowingly Rosaline's hands clenched tightly. The anger in his chest continued to stir as if it was ready to explode right now.
"The murder case was finally closed after seven years the head of the Vreaa family was released and found dead in his home. According to public opinion the Vreaa family's death was a case of premeditated murder based on autopsy results leaked to the media."
Suddenly Rosaline's head became dizzy
the sound of the people around him grew. It felt like he wanted to scream, tell everyone to shut their mouths and stop judging his family.
Why is everyone talking as if they know what happened that night? They are not there to feel it! His mind continued to shout furiously, filled with hatred. But if he spoke, his voice would still lose.
