The Continent of Europe
Chapter 43's

...CHAPTRE 43...

...FAMILY SITUATION'S...

"How does it feel to have a brother? I mean twin brothers?"

Rosaline, who was lying on the couch playing with her phone, turned her head slightly only to see James drying her hair. The blond man sat by the bed, waiting for Rosaline to answer him.

"You mean my twin brother? Reggie's? Hahaha don't get your hopes up. He's the worst twin brother I've ever had in my life."

"You have another twin brother? You're triplets?" James shock's.

Rosaline shook her head and changed her supine position to face James. He chuckled amusedly at the surprised expression of the blonde man who he thought was fantastic.

"No. Worst I'm talking about is Reggie's behavior. He always made fun of me. Mocking me whenever the opportunity arises and also he bothers me all the time. He's a real bitch."

"But besides, is he a good twin brother?"

Rosaline cannot deny that Reagan is a good twin brother to her. Although Reagan always acted like he didn't care about her, but Rosaline knew. In the depths of Reagan's heart, the man actually cared for him.

"Yes, he's a good twin brother to me. Although sometimes I really want to hit or kick him, he's still my twin brother. My family."

"I think I can imagine how frustrating your parents would be if their twins had a fight."

The smile on Rosaline's face instantly faded away. Suddenly he remembered his parents. Mother, father, and the incident that made his parents died. Rosaline shook her head, not wanting to show a sad face in front of the man.

"Yes, I remember how my parents would shake their heads every time Reggie and I fought. They can only watch us from afar, make sure me and Reggie don't kill each other."

Rosaline smiled, recalling the past few days when both her parents were still alive. Still living in the same world as him and Reagan.

The girl raised her head as the sound of the bed creaking sounded. He watched James, who was lying on the bed, leaning his head on his hands as a pillow.

"Your family looks fun. Not like my family."

"What is your family like?" Rosaline was worried, afraid that the man would get angry at her because she suddenly asked about her family. Things James had always avoided.

Instead of being angry, James chuckled.

"Dull. They're too tight. Especially to me. As the sole heir to the Adler family, they desperately want the perfect heir" he said.

"Well, at least you have parents."

James peeked at Rosaline through his hands, slightly raising his head. "You don't have any?" James asked, a little surprised.

Rosaline shrugged her shoulders. "Nope. Already died."

"So that guy at the coffee shop?"

"No blood relation."

"You live with a stranger?"

"Not a stranger, but someone my father used to know."

"By the way, you're not from England, are you? But, the family name Smith? Isn't that a common family name in England? Is your father English?"

Even though he himself did not like to call himself Smith, he had to do it anyway. As ordered by Julian. Don't mention Vreaa or Torres and use Smith.

But there's no harm in not being a little honest about her parents? Even though he wouldn't explicitly mention his surname to James? Maybe it should be okay. James did not know his parents.

"My father is English, but my mother isn't."

"Did your father move from England? Where's your place?"

"In a country on the Asian continent."

"Then what are you doing here? In the European Continent?"

Almost. Rosaline had almost revealed her purpose to England to the man. Well, if it wasn't for Reagan's angry face and calling him stupid suddenly appearing in his mind, he might have said it.

"Learn."

"What a classic reason."

Rosaline pouted before opening her mouth to protest, but was interrupted by her phone suddenly ringing. The girl jumped off the couch, grabbed the phone she had put on the table earlier and looked at the screen, reading Daniel's number on it.

"The guy at the coffee shop?" Daniel guessed and

Rosaline nodded. "Go on then, pick up the phone. He's really worried about you."

With that Rosaline walked to the door, pulled him and walked out, leaving James alone lying on the bed. "Daniel," Rosaline said, her voice greeting her happily.

"[Are you okay? The rock is completely insane. That's why Reggie and I had to close the cafe early.]"

"Yes. I-i know. I'm sorry I have to stay in Edinburgh longer, you know right? The storm was so crazy," Rosaline chuckled, although she had no idea how bad the storm was out there because she was in a building with soundproof rooms. He really couldn't hear anything from there.

"[You're still with him? Did he do anything bad to you?]"

"No. Don't worry, he's now just in line—" Rosaline stalled, suddenly unable to imagine how angry Daniel would be if he knew that he and James were in the same room.

"He was next to my room. So he won't bother me."

"[Good, make sure to lock your door. If anything happens, let me know immediately or call the receptionist, okay?]"

"of course. Thank you, Daniel, I'll be back tomorrow morning, hopefully the storm's over tomorrow. No need to worry about me."

"[How can I not worry about you, Rosie. If anything happens to you, Julian will kill me.]"

Rosaline chuckled as the sound of laughter was also heard from the other end of the phone. Sure do. Rosaline hasn't called the guy in a long time. How areya? Julian. What is that man doing now? The last time he heard his voice was at Christmas and the new year. It's been two months.

"[Sleeps well, Rosie. Good night.]"

The call ended and Rosaline returned to the room. He could only sigh at James who had fallen asleep with his wet hair and was not using any blankets, but the man knew he was lying just below the AC.

Because Rosaline still has a good heart and is not arrogant. He grabbed the blanket that had been lying next to the man's body and covered it. Rosaline involuntarily watched James' face as the man slept.

I don't know why it looks so peaceful. But the moment he woke up, the man instantly turned annoying again. It was perfect to be an easy target for Rosaline to hit him.

"I wondered, what kind of family situation do you have in your stately home. I don't know why, the way you describe them although it's not very clear, I can imagine they are a family that doesn't really care about your happiness. Too bad for you, James".
